The phandom May be very supportive of Dans coming out but a large part of you still shipped him and Phil for years making conspiracy theory’s and picking apart their lives. The fact that Dan only just now came out to his parents shows that he only recently became fully comfortable to express himself and the blame is on not only the shitty kids at his school but the dumbass phandom that harassed and tried to out Dan for years purely to fetishize his relationship with Phil. I’ll fuck with Dan and Phil for the rest of my life, but I’ll never rejoin the phandom.

I don’t wanna see none of y’all with the “we been knew” about Dans sexuality. The fact that people have been speculating and pressuring him to come out for YEARS is still not okay even though he eventually did come out. He’s been on YouTube for nearly a decade and that whole time had his sexuality debated and shared like it was some fun aspect of a drama that was being theorized about. Many of us have been closeted ourselves, and during that time the mere mention of your sexuality is terrifying. It was never fair for Dan to have to deal with that. And it’s easy to get lost in the crowd and I’m guilty of jumping on the bandwagon- but it still wasn’t right.

Some of y’all need to realize that Dan should be able to make any video he wants and whatever makes him happy. My all time favourite, icon, beautuber and Queen, Jenna Marbles makes whatever the fuck she wants, cause it makes her happy. I’ve been watching her for years and I will watch anything she posts whether it be her dogs eating peanut butter or her murdering her hair. Why? Because no video is more fun to watch then one of someone honestly having a good time. And some weeks she’s honest that she’s not in a great mood and will make something purely to cheer herself up. She doesn’t need to share that or even post but she clearly loves her fan base and wants to stay connected and give us content. THAT is how we should make Dan feel. He shouldn’t have to stress for hours over editing and deal with insulting tweets. He should be able on bad days to just make something that will cheer him up and make him smile. This man puts so much thought and heart into his videos yet some of y’all keep expecting him to succeed your expectations and when he doesn’t you get pissy. A YouTuber shouldn’t fear their so called “fans” and tbh if i was in Dans position I’d be terrified of y’all. The video wasn’t just yoga, but if it had been we have no reason to complain. It wouldn’t have been what you wanted?? There were thousands of comments with hundreds of suggestions it’s impossible to make everyone happy. But I’d rather a twenty minute video of something I didn’t ask for with Dan doing something he genuinely wants then a ten minute video of something we pressured him into doing that he doesn’t care for. Let the man have fun and make content he wants, he shouldn’t have to suffer his happiness for any of you.
