dragon age origins character creation: men and women are equals!
tabris, two minutes after starting the game: those bastards lied to me
this is relevant to maybe one person who follows me but i've started playing Dragon Age: Origins and they could not have made a funnier decision than having the sex in the character creation explicitly say women and men are considered equal in this universe
character creation: misogyny doesn't exist
2 minutes into the game: GIRLS are worse than BOYS
dialogue option as a fem character: im the bravest out of all of you, and im a WOMAN
Alister immediately going "WHAT???? a WOMAN???? you don't see that every day!"
I love my bestest girl Sheba. She's very smart and knows lots of words and is very particular about her daily routine, and how everyone must be in their correct places at all times. She's a very quirky dog. To have been untrained, she's learned a lot in the almost two years since I brought her home, and I'm always telling people how smart she is.
Today, my beautiful, cuddly, very protective and super smart German Shepherd decided to scratch her chin on a dining room chair. She got her head just a little bit stuck between the slats, panicked, and dragged the chair halfway across the dining room before she got away from it.
She was not hurt, but demanded lots of hugs after being "attacked" by the nasty chair.
Also, she ate a hairball right after this scary incident, you know, as one does.

This one took longer than it should have. I was struggling to trust the process at times, and so slowed down and had some issues, but it's finally done.
Do you ever just start writing and then it's a few thousand words later, and you're just like, 'Where the hell did any of this come from? This was not the plan. Wtf?'
i understand she couldnt be gay cos we would have too many crazy religious lesbians if so but why... why did they make her so butch if she wasnt meant to kiss ladies.....
i have tried every single fix i have found on the web and the only way I can get Inquisition to run is if I open it on a different windows user. i had to make an entire other user on my PC to play this damn game. god dammit EA.
A - Ships that you currently like a lot?
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Hi! Sorry this took a while, I thought I answered it but I found it hiding in my drafts for some reason.
I answered both of these questions here, but additionally:
A:
recently discovered Velanna/Sigrun after finishing the Awakening DLC, I love them
I've had a lot of thoughts about Warden&Oghren, I can't really explain except that, especially for some origins, the Warden and Oghren might commiserate over leaving the only life they know and being killing machines, amongst other things
Morrigan/Leliana has invaded my brain, definitely one of my favorite F/F ships, they're just so *incoherent screaming*
K: how do i coherently talk about anything oh my god
I gained a lot of appreciation for Nathaniel Howe after my recent Awakening playthrough. Especially if you push being friendly with him, he goes through a lot of processing his childhood, his parents and their relationship, and how his father's actions tarnished his family name in no time flat. I appreciate that he doesn't wallow in this and wants to restore his family name, or, at the very least, try to be a good man.
Like, the dude shows up to Vigils Keep with the intent to assassinate the player, but realizes all he really wants is some of his family's belongings from his childhood home. Look at him. He's the perfect sad wet cat.
