RWRB hot take

If you’re a fan of Red, White & Royal Blue and claim to love Nora, but you’re not upset about what happened with Nora and the events surrounding it. You’re not a fan of Nora.

Nora is Jewish. Her actress is not (see my posts detailing this for more info). If you claim to love Nora, but you’re not mad that they changed her ethnicity, then you didn’t love Nora for who she was. Being Jewish was a part of her on every page. She was so many incredible things and she was also Jewish, that was a part of her.

If you’re a fan of RWRB, but you’re not mad that the production has stayed silent and actively ignored speaking out against the Jew erasure that people are posting online, and the antisemitic nazi bullshit that’s been floating around… Then you’re not actually a fan of RWRB. To love something does not mean to love it without fault, it means to love it enough to know when they’ve done something wrong and mention it. You think any character in the book or movie would be okay with Jew hatred? Maybe the Richards campaign, but even then they’d probably have their staff send out a tweet or something in order to sway votes.

If you love RWRB, but aren’t mad that the director and an executive producer blocked me after they saw that people are posting shitty things… Then you’re a fan of a movie created by people who don’t care to speak out against Jew hatred. If you can’t wait for the RWRB movie, but you’re not posting about how wrong it is for them to have not cast a Jewish actor in a Jewish role, then you can’t wait to watch some Jew erasure.

This is the hard truth.
