- Absolutely love the concept of this btw.

- Carol tries to come back as much as she can, but she’s busy and sometimes she’s gone for a while. Sometimes she comes home and its late, so she just sits on your bed and wakes you up gently. You always scramble up to hug her, and she always hugs you so tightly.

- You guys spend all the time you can together. You go out to food and watch movies and chit-chat for hours straight. You stay up all night playing board games and eating cereal and doing puzzles on your living room floor.

- When you guys go out, you’re always either holding hands, linking arms, or interlocking your pinkies. You’ve been doing it since you guys were really young, so its basically second-nature to reach out for each other in a crowd.

- She loves giving you piggyback rides!!! She’s obviously crazy strong so she thinks its so cool to be able to haul you around from place to place.

- When she’s home, she’s so at ease that it almost makes you sad she can’t stay forever. She’s always grinning and laughing and grabbing your arm to stay steady.

- You always make sure to take her shopping, because she’s not used to taking care of herself and you want her to have nice things. So you guys pick our outfits for each other to try on, pick up fancy jewelry, and try to find matching stuff you can both have.

- You love taking her to every shitty food place you can find, with greasy food that shouldn’t be good but is somehow the best meal either of you have ever had. On the walk home, she puts an arm around your shoulder and says, “I missed you.”

- When she inevitably has to leave, you guys are glued to each others sides for the whole day. You both make cookies in your kitchen and wrap some up in tinfoil so she can take them with her. She promises to come visit soon and you promise you’ll be waiting for her.

ask: Do you have any headcannons of Merlin growing his hair out all curly and everyone in the castle collectively loose their minds

- If you want a mental image, I’ve got you. Take this and this and this and enjoy. :3

- Like the grandpa he is, Gaius teases Merlin for it every morning. He ruffles his hair, mumbles something about being thankful while you have it, and sends him out the door with a tsk.

- It only takes a day or two for it go from subtle waves to quite noticeable, especially when Gaius makes him a shampoo better fit for the curly aspect. It wasn’t really an intentional choice on Merlin’s end, just happenstance from being busy and letting it do what it wants. This also meant he was starting to get slight stubble around his jaw, born from laziness about shaving.

- This switch also happened to fall on a rare weekend where Merlin didn’t really see anyone. Arthur was gone for business and Merlin took the weekend off.

- Gwen says something about it first, crossing him in the halls and stopping him to gently ruffle his hair and go, “Well aren’t you handsome, why have you been hiding this?” to which Merlin blushes (not used to compliments) and waves it off. Gwen continues down the hall, but calls back over her shoulder, “Make sure to ask the knights what they think!”

- Merlin also passes a couple ladies from town who, in no uncertain fashion, stare for long enough that even he notices.

- When he wakes Arthur up by yanking the curtains open and throwing an orange in his direction, Arthur doesn’t notice. Too blinded by sleep and sun and stress. It’s not until after he’s changed and emerges from behind the divider that his gaze flickers to Merlin and he pauses.

- Merlin makes a face, “What? Don’t be thinking about throwing something at me.” Arthur looks away, but doesn’t move, “Nothing, you changed your hair.” Having genuinely forgotten, Merlin pauses, “Oh- I suppose I did. Is that….a problem?” Arthur rolls his eyes, “Why would that be a problem Merlin? I doubt anything can worsen your servant skills any more than their current-,” He’s cut off by Merlin throwing his shoes full speed at him.

- When they run into the knights in the armory, Merlin keeps remembering Gwen’s comment about what they would think. He decides not to say anything, but it doesn’t matter because the second they go outside and the sunlight hits them, Gwaine clocks him immediately.

- “Woah, hold up! You did something, fess up!” Merlin groans but smiles despite himself, “C’mon, don’t do this-,” Percival cuts him, “He’s right though! You’re all rugged now.” He lowered his voice when he said rugged and Merlin and Arthur both make a grossed-out expression. As Elyan opens his mouth to agree, Merlin surrenders, “I grew out my hair a little bit, it got wavy, can we move on now?”

- Gwaine wolf-whistles and the knights burst into laughter. Arthur rolls his eyes and gestures with his sword, “Can we get back to training?” Lancelot grins, “What, are you upset we think Merlin looks nice?” Arthur shoots him a very pointed glare and gestures everyone out into the field.

- Later that evening, Morgana comes to visit Arthur while Merlin’s getting dinner set up. She goes to wave a quick hello but pauses upon seeing him, “Merlin! Your hair looks lovely.” He grins bashfully, “Thanks.” Arthur groans, “Doesn’t anyone in this castle have anything better to do than pay attention to Merlin’s hair?” Morgana shrugs, “Do you not like it?” Arthur stiffens slightly, “I didn’t say- I just don’t care about it.” Gesturing vaguely around, Morgana continues, “It’s not a crime to think he looks nice Arthur, everyone in this castle thinks he looks nice. You’d be crazy not too.”

- You guys are lowkey everything omg.. a perfect match forreal!!

- Both of you love to do ‘project trades’ where you show him your newest story, he shows you his newest film, and you guys exchange reviews!! Helps get some fresh eyes on what you’re working on, and you love to see each other’s stuff.

- Movie nights go crazy!!! Sometimes you’ll draw movies out of a hat and sometimes you’ll each pick one and watch both. You’ll try to line up genres, like both picking horror or both picking something animated, etc! And you guys absolutely have matching letterboxd profile pics.

- Zelda playthrough. Everytime you play Zelda, Abed wants to just sit with you and watch. He’s not a backseat-gamer really, he just likes to ask a lot of questions about the lore. Sometimes he’ll do his homework on the floor while you play, cause he likes the game’s ambience.

- He’s kind of obsessed with your music taste. Like he genuinely thinks you’re the coolest person ever. When you guys first liked each other, you made him a playlist and burned it onto a CD just because you thought he’d like it better that way.

- When you gave it to him, he kinda shut down for a moment, before looking at you and completely deadpan going “I need to go to my dorm and listen to this right now.” and scurrying off. He came back the next week with a CD he made for you with his favorite songs. Despite his solemn exterior he was almost clearly nervous to give it to you and disappeared the second you tried to ask any questions.

- Matching halloween costumes. You guys do a whole halloween week thing so that you can do all the fictional duos (and trios when troy was available) that you could think of.

- Whenever you guys go to a theatre to see a movie, you always make sure you’ll have plenty of time afterwards to get something to eat and talk incessantly about it. It’s one of your guys’ favorite ways to decompress, especially when finals season rolls around.

- You guys go to a fair amount of conventions together, and whenever you cosplay, he’s always even more obsessed with you than usual. Typically you guys end up matching, (Howl + Sophie, Zelda + Link, etc) and he genuinely just thinks you’re so cool and so pretty.

- Genuinely obsessed with the concept of anytime you guys are out together and someone starts to flirt with you, Kate just appears. Doesn’t matter where she was, it’s like she can sense it and she just shows up behind you to make eye contact with the person and gesture for them to scram.

- This pin is totes the vibe

- She absolutely acts as a sort of ‘romance-detector’ for you. If someone’s chatting with you and you don’t pick up that their flirting, she’ll text you a heads up. Or if someone’s texting you something, you’ll send her a picture and she’ll tell you what they really want.

- One night when you guys are out, someone sorta sidles up to you and starts talking. You tend to assume people are just being friendly so you politely continue the conversation and sit down at a table with them. You don’t realize something’s off until they grab your hand but at that point you’re in too deep. You look around in a panic as they start to lead you elsewhere and sure enough, as if you summoned her, Kate appears.

- She gives the person a chance to leave, but when they steadfastly refuse to let go of your hand, she wastes no time pulling back her hand and punching them so hard they yelp. She grabs your hand and pulls you away, muttering angry phrases under her breath. She brings you guys nextdoor, to a more lowkey place, before asking if you’re alright.

- Also absolutely loving the concept of Kate constantly volunteering to be a fake-girlfriend. She’s down to do anything to help her friends so there’s been many a time when you guys are out when she’s held your hand, linked your guys’ arms together, or given you her jacket to get rid of potential suitors before you even notice them.

- Sometimes she apologizes for being overly protective, and you have to assure her that if you minded, you would say something.

- The first couple times she leaves for a while, she doesn’t realize how anxious it makes you. But when she comes back one night and you’re sleeping in her bed, it starts to sink in.

- She starts leaving notes all the time, because they’re more ‘real’ than texts/voicemails. Magnet notes on the fridge, sticky notes on the cupboards, index cards on your bedside table, all signed with a ‘See you soon :-)’

- You take her to her first Build-A-Bear, and you guys spend way too long picking out the perfect creatures and doing the little routine. You both get the sound memo hearts, so you can put a message in each other’s plushie. (Hers says “Hi!! I don’t know where I am while you’re listening to this, but I know I’m coming home soon, I promise!! Love you!”)

- You make her promise to wake you up when she gets home, no matter how late it is. Sometimes you don’t go back to sleep, just order takeout, and exchange stories about whatever you both missed.

- When she’s gone for especially long amounts of time, she tries to stay home for a while afterwards. She knows you feel guilty, always saying ‘You have more important places to be!’ but to her, making sure you don’t have to be anxious all the time is important.

- She takes you with her on occasion, for stuff she doesn’t thing should be too dangerous. It’s always the most fun she has on missions, getting to hang out with you while she does her stuff. One time you made her laugh so hard in midair, she almost plummeted both of you down to earth on accident.

- He’s so penguin-coded tbh, he’s always bringing you little rocks and figurines he finds outside. He always keeps some in his coat pockets just in case you get bummed. Slowly but surely your room is filling up with little knicknacks that he’s brought you over time.

- One night when everything is just too much and you burst into tears while sitting on the floor of Paddy’s, he just sits with you and puts his green jacket over your shoulders. He clearly doesn’t know exactly what to say but he bumps his head into yours like a friendly cat.

- His favorite thing in the world is when he can convince you to sit at the bar while they’re open. So you can work on your laptop or read a book while the gang serves drinks. It’s a good way for you to get out of the house when you’re feeling down, and he just loves getting you see everytime he looks up.

- He’s also such a physical touch guy. It took him a while to get comfortable and trust that you actually want him around, but now he’s all in. He runs up behind you and grabs your waist, twirls you around when he’s done mopping the bar, pretends he’s a prince so he can kiss your hand dramatically, absentmindedly tries to braid your hair but usually just ends up tangling it.

- When you’re upset, his go-to method is to make you laugh. He’ll pull out all the stops, trying and failing to do gymnastics, performing musical numbers for hours on end, coming out in increasingly ridiculous costumes. He won’t give up until you’re bent over laughing.

- One day when you woke up feeling awful, Charlie promised he could help and then disappeared to the kitchen for a suspiciously long time. When he returned, there was a plume of smoke following him, his hair was charred, and he was holding a plate of what you guessed was an omelette. You gently suggested you guys go out for breakfast and he readily agreed.

- she definitely brings you everywhere with her like it doesnt matter what shes up to, she wants to bring you along for company so she has someone to chit-chat with, y’know?

- i love the concept of her coming home one day and showing you a couple of rings she got from somewhere in space. they match your guys’ eyes so you offhandedly suggest you both could wear them as matching rings. after that, you guys never take them off.

- do i even need to say… karaoke!!! and not the lazy kind either, i’m talking full-energy, loud singing, corniest duet in existence karaoke. all the karaoke places in town (and some of the ones in space) know you guys.

- you guys love to experiment with her powers. you’ll spend whole days in a field just trying to see how fast she can go, how far she can throw, how long she can give you a superspeed piggyback ride until you throw up.

- when you guys do movie nights, you only need to ask once or twice before she agrees to fly and pick you guys up theatre popcorn, new york pizza, and your favorite drink from your hometown. in return, you pull out some ice cream from the freezer to let it thaw a bit.

- when you guys aren’t tired and it’s late, you turn on music and you spin and swing each other around the living room floor. she picks you up and you guys sing along to the music way too loudly and you twirl her and almost fall over and you guys laugh so hard your stomachs hurt and you both have to sit on the couch and fight the urge to fall asleep right there
