US embassy in Sweden sent a letter to the Stockholm city planning office to tell them to stop working for equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Stockholm City Planning Office must not work for equality, diversity and inclusion. The U.S. Embassy demands this in a letter, with a contract that they expect the city to sign.

"It's completely bizarre," says City Planning Commissioner Jan Valeskog (S).

The embassy begins the letter with "Dear City Planning Office" and then explains that a new policy requires that everyone from whom the U.S. government purchases goods and services must sign the contract. The City Planning Office is expected to sign and return the contract within ten working days.

"We absolutely do not intend to do that, it is the opposite of everything we stand for. They should withdraw these oddities," says Jan Valeskog.

It is the embassy that benefits from the City of Stockholm, not the other way around, he believes. "If the United States terminates its acquaintance with the city planning office, the embassy will have difficulty obtaining a building permit if, for example, they want to rebuild. It's their headache, not ours," says Valeskog.

I can only assume that similar letters are being sent out from all embassies, making yet another global embarrassment of the US administration.

I recently read that the only requirements to become Pope are that the Pope be 1) baptized and 2) a man.

Therefore, I would like to put forward the person who I think would make the best Pope:

Yes, I'm Jewish. I'm patrilineal.

My mother is Catholic. I was, in fact, technically, baptized as a baby.

So like. My mother's family was never religious. I went to Sunday school maybe once or twice? But given that Judaism is usually matrilineal, my parents made the decision to baptize me, because they supposed I would be Catholic.

It obviously didn't take because my mom wasn't religious and we were very involved in the Jewish side of my family back then. At a very young age I asked my parents if I could be Jewish and go to Hebrew school. They said, okay, we guess?

For all intents and purposes I was raised in a Jewish household. I never identified as Catholic and have always identified as Jewish. I talked it over with my rabbi, asking if I needed to like actually convert because of the whole baptism thing, and he said nah you're good you're Jewish.

But.

I was still technically baptized.

Which means I am technically qualified to be Pope.

My papal name would be Pope Schlomo and my first act would be to say that god loves queers and abortion and those things are legal now.

And then gaslight gatekeep girlboss showed up in the feeds of eight different Twitter repost accounts. Then it filtered down through Instagram and then trickled on down into some tragic “alt side of Tiktok” where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that meme represents millions of notes and countless Tumblr users and so it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from Tumblr when, in fact, you’re wearing the meme that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of “stuff.”

"Why not make female heroes more feminine so girls know you don't have to be masculine to save the world" is misguided. The target audience of heroic adventure genre is not children who actually save the world in a literal sense, it's children who want a cathartic outlet for the struggles and injustice they face. And one of the most common types of injustice that many girls and children assumed to be girls are subjected to is forced feminization.
