Daniel, have you read about djinns or genies before in any textbooks or leisure reading at the university? if you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for? but you can’t kill anyone, can’t revive the dead, and can’t make people fall in love

I've read about djinns and the like before, certainly! Just for fun leisure, or in stories I've read to Hazel in the past.

I honestly would not wish to have any part in the supernatural again, but if I had to have three wishes...

I would wish for Hazel's illness to be fully cured, a promotion in my career, and to have never encountered the Orb to begin with.

Then again, the whole debacle with the Orb lead to my friendship with Agrippa and Weyer...

Daniel it's so good that you were so protective of Hazel growing up. Many people would just take their anger out on their younger siblings.

I wouldn't even dream of treating Hazel poorly because of our situation. I wanted her to be happy, in spite of the chaos going on around us.

are you still afraid of the dark at all? or even just needing to sleep with some sort of light for comfort?

No. My fear of the dark came about from my circumstances surrounding the Orb and everything that happened after.

Now that I have returned to normal living, it is no longer a concern.

(thank you for answering, mun! ^^ ) my mom has told me i need to forgive my father for my own mental wellbeing. but i feel like forgiveness is saying "it's okay". i find it hard to forgive people, but of course i would want someone to forgive me. i know it's backwards, but… what do you think of that? do you think it could simply be "i accept your apology, thank you"? what do you think of forgiveness, both to others and yourself?

It's a complicated issue. I'm not entirely sure if I've forgiven my own father, and that is not a decision I can make for you.

Yet I have heard that forgiveness is more for yourself, than the other person. Perhaps you can find a time to forgive, but that does not mean you must forget either, or even let the person who wronged you back into your life.

I have a question for your mun, if they happen to be around…

(I’m curious, why Daniel? What do you like about him so much? I just ask cause I love hearing about people’s connections to characters or reasoning for loving them! Only if you’re comfortable)

((That's all right! I chose to write for Daniel because I found him a very human character. Just someone who found themselves in a shitty situation and ended up doing what a lot of us would've done if we felt our lives were threatened - not that it excuses it, but yeah!

I also started it because he was my favorite character for a few years. He's since been dethroned, but I do still enjoy his character and I'm too stubborn to stop writing for him while I still can. I've seen too many ask/rp blogs go dormant within a few years, so I'm determined to keep going while I've still got it in me to do so (though I miss the Amnesia ones since my Daniel blog interacted with them quite a bit).

Also, having moved to larger and more popular fandoms, it's very easy to get lost in the crowd over in those. Amnesia and other niche fandoms are places where you can really carve out a space for yourself, and yeah - I have here, quite a few in the Amnesia fandom know about me, even if it's not a ton.

I'm glad people have admired my dedication to this blog, it means a lot that some folks have returned after years and are pleasantly surprised that this blog is still kicking!))

Hmm, it's a bit difficult to pick just one. I suppose when the sweet craving hits, I tend to pick up a pastry on the way to work.

Although a sweet drink can be quite refreshing as well.

That's quite all right. Happy birthday to us both!

I don't have any particular rituals for the occasion. If I have time to meet with family and the like, then it happens. Otherwise I will visit a museum or two and enjoy the day to myself.

I have not heard of this man, and I'd rather not get involved with any more orbs if I can help it. At least in Weyer's presence, he knows how to wield them with such precision that it puts me at ease.

i am almost done going through your blog, but i just wanted to say i love this blog! i wish i found it years ago--better late than never i suppose! your reactions/replies are mad funny and expressive, lots of effort put into them and it's awesome you've been here for so long! i hope you and the mun are around for a long time :D
