Tales from the Backwoods is inspired by serial thrillers like Twilight Zone/Hitchcock Presents but gives it a redneck twist. Oodles of great footage from the series in their kickstarter video. Check it out!

"... but what do I know... I'm just a college professor."
this is the line my favorite filmstudies professor ends a semester worth of lectures with.

This short film is a trippy dark comedy by Victor Tadashi, and my favorite among a number of shorts made by undergraduate students featured at the Visions Film Festival.

Studied Indian filmmaking in my World Film studies class today. This clip, coming from the movie Chandramukhi, is representative of how over the top their action sequences can get. Very funny and clever stuff here.

This is a poster I illustrated/designed for ActionFest (the film festival with a body count!). They will be handprinted at my letterpress studio, Blue Barnhouse. The images on this poster were taken from stills of legendary stuntman Mickey Gilbert (Ben Hur, Wild Bunch) who will be receiving a life time achievement award at this years event. This poster was all drawn using a Cintiq Wacom tablet.
Below are the stills I worked from. The first one was a taken from a very long pan down a steep cliff, I stacked 5 stills to get all of the action in one image. The second is taken from fall guy. Any guess on the third still? The last is Mickey doing a bronco ride.

Zombie vs. Shark! This was clip was shown in my Horror class today and introduced as the greatest monster fight of all time. It comes from Lucio Fulci's Italian horror film Zombi 2 (1979)
I have no clue how this could have been pulled off. I can't see how this could have been safe filmmaking.
