Yes, of course it will! Sorry for the delay - I’ve been out of the country doing volunteer work in an orphanage these past few weeks and unable to access the internet. I look up into those blue eyes that no amount of dramatic makeup can make truly deadly and remember how, just a year ago, I was prepared to kill him. Convinced he was trying to kill me. Now everything is reversed.

I love Katniss’s observation as she and Peeta prepare for their appearance in the Tributes parade. Katniss describes how she has reversed positions from their first Games, unaware of just how accurate she is with the foreshadowing. She won’t be the only one to make a reversal. Peeta’s hijacking will transform him into the one who falsely sees Katniss as the danger that must be killed.

I also like the reference to the dramatic makeup. It hints at the real/not real aspect of the roles they are playing for the audience. The fake makeup can’t hide the truth of Peeta’s character. It’s a great contrast with how those eyes do in fact turn deadly in MJ, even as Coin is trying to present Peeta to the districts as one of the loyal Star Squad members fighting alongside Katniss.
