I can’t believe “the dancing petals” is 10 years old this painting was with me since the beginning of this art show journey . I remember sitting in my basement after I left school with just nothing but frustration this canvas and a few paints. Who knew this painting would take me to so many places and it would see so many shows. This painting almost was lost forever because it was once on display at a cafe that eventually closed its doors. They failed to notify me that they were shutting down and to pick it up. I had to wait almost an entire year to retrieve it along with the broken man and bittersweet from the owner of the building. The irony in all of it is that the dancing petals is about overcoming whatever life throws at you. Like the petals and the death of the tree we must overcome it the night sky is held in light by the young sun.
