On Terrible Site Adjustments and Doojuing my Best

Greetings everyone! Once again I am back after 3 trillion years of hiatus. I’ve gotten a couple of new followers since my last life update so I’ll go over the basics as to what this is in case people don’t know. Since I often have to take mental health breaks from blogging and am in general a very talkative/wordy person I like to come back from inactivity with a status report on how I’ve been in the form of little bullet points.

🌺 I’m gonna cover Tumblr’s mistak-sorry, I mean ~NeW iMpRovEmeNTs~ right off the bat just to get them over with. I’m not sure if they’ll end up flagging me for something because I write Northern Swallow Feather Whistle content but I don’t post my drawings of such so who the hell knows honestly. I’m going to keep posting on here though, just to see how long I can last before the fuckers shut me down. But in the event that my blog gets taken away and you enjoy what I do or want to know how my life is going then you can find me on (oh lord I’m really pulling an Icarus by adding hyperlinks right now but they’re really helpful so fuck it) AO3 (I haven’t added anything on it yet but I will soon!), AFF (Yeah it’s not my ideal place to be either but you never know when a site is going to go down so it’s good to cover your bases), and Discord. Oh and I will be participating in the protest on the 17th. I know stuff like this has been shown to statistically not give any results but it doesn’t hurt to try, ya know?

🌺 As far as writing goes I’ve gone back and forth on progress. I was doing super well near the beginning of the summer but then my depression/anxiety/OCD milkshake of a brain and general busyness said “NOPE” so that stopped all writing but then it picked up again at the start of fall and then it fell because of the previously mentioned reasons with the additional stress of holidays. I know it’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year but when you’ve got abusive family it’s about as fun as taxes. Currently, I’m trying to pull myself out of all this but damn it’s hard. Still trying though.

🌺 Soon it’s going to be exactly a year since Jonghyun’s death and... it still hurts. I think it hurts more knowing that it’s been a year. I feel like it might be odd for me to be really affected by this since I never met him or knew him personally but he meant so much to me and I miss him every day. At night when the moon is out, I ask him how he’s doing and tell him about my day. As an agnostic, I’m not even sure he’s up there but I don’t know, it’s something that keeps me going. Something to hold on to. The moon is always there so I can think that he’s always there.

🌺 Here’s your fun fact for the day: there is such a thing as fourth, fifth, and sixth-degree burns. If you’re European, in a couple of weeks you will be denied any and all access to fandom contents on Tumblr and everywhere else on the internet. Here’s why.

On June, 20th the JURI of European Parliament approved of the articles 11 and 13 of the new Copyright Law. These articles are also known as the “Link Tax” and the “Censorship Machines” articles.

Articles 13 in particular forces every internet platform to filter all the contents we upload online, ending once and for all the fandom culture. Which means you won’t be able to upload any type of fandom works like fan arts, fan fictions, gif sets from your favourite films and series, edits, because it’s all copyrighted material. And you won’t also be able to share, enjoy or download other’s contents, because the use of links will be completely restricted.

But not everything’s lost yet. There’s another round of voting scheduled for the early days of July.

What you can do now to save our internet, is to share these informations with all of your family members and friends, and to ask to your MEP (the members of the European Parliament from your country) to vote NO at the next round, to vote against articles 11 and 13.

help a black trans girl survive w/o help from her bullshit dad

hi im sugar and i made a post prior to this about my situation. Long story short, my dad (a black man) finally had his long-awaited mixed baby casey (here she is my lil sis 💕)

and has decided that he longer wants to talk to, support or acknowledge me (his fully black, dark skinned, trans daughter) and refuses to help me and my mother pay for college. and ive always noticed that he was off about me, that he was kinda distant and deeply and vocally dissatisfied w me as a whole but who woulda thought huh lmao.

my dad is keeping my sister from me, left me n my mother to struggle w paying for school and on top of that hes no longer going half for my hormones w my mom so really everything is effed lmaooo!

i’ve raised about 650 on tumblr with the help of everyone that that helped finish covering my room and meal plan and the bill is halfway paid.
