So I wasn't going to write a post about Florida and gun laws because I'm well aware that most of my followers are American and do love their guns. But after watching some heart breaking speeches from the kids who were friends of victims and their parents I felt I just had to say Something, something that might help and even change some minds. So here it goes. Gun control does not mean a gun ban. We have gun control in australia and it just means the requirements you have to meet to own a gun and gun license are much more strict. As long as you are old enough, are part of a gun club or hunting club, have proof of an adiqute gun safe And have passed the required gun safety and use courses you can legally own a gun. In australia if you want to purchase a gun you must provide all the right certificates and licences and then order your gun, then it is sent from a secure facility to your place of purchase and arrives in a secure lock box. The key to the lock box arrives separately by registered post so no mistakes can be made. You can not just buy a gun from Wal-Mart. If America adopted all the same laws we have it makes it a lot harder for idiots like him to get their hands on a gun. The gun he used cost 30k on the black market in australia. It might not have stoped him...... but there's a chance it might have and that chance is worth taking don't you think? #guncontrol #timeforachange
