through the shared power of autism, i have found the one dastmalchian character who i could possibly self-ship with.
i am bored. how interactions with any dast character would go for me, based on what i've watched in full.
abner krill, the suicide squad: realistically, i am not good with shy, neurotic people. i'm an introvert, but have been told i'm very type-a and come across as an extrovert because of that, so i'd probably accidentally bully him. i am sorry, abner, i really do love you.
bob taylor, prisoners: i literally would never talk to this guy, and he would never talk to me. we would have a really autistic conversation (peez no hurt me i was diagnosed as a kid i can say dat) if some situation befell upon us that made us speak to each other. the scene where loki came to his door is, in retrospect, morbidly funny to me, because i would probably answer the questions the exact same way.
jack delroy, late night with the devil: he probably would like me, and i'd definitely like him for the sort of "bumbling" but charismatic nature. i am from the southwest, but have been told i have a midwestern charm, so we'd probably have good conversations about IL culture and whatnot. i had a lot of fun writing my jack/madeleine fic when it came to IL references, especially since my dad’s from englewood and i visit my grandparents there a lot.
lester billings, the boogeyman: would fucking kill me.
murdoc, macgyver: would not fucking kill me, because i would just be a bug in his eyes. he'd find me annoying, but i'd be so inconsequential to him that there would be zero point to killing me.
wojak, the last voyage of the demeter: idk, i think he'd be fine with me, but he wouldn't really care. there's a vampire, dude, he's got stuff to do.

In high school, David Dastmalchian was exceedingly talented and driven, having been involved in theatre and football. He toyed with several career and postsecondary path ideas, from being a high-school drama teacher to studying English, before one of his most influential teachers told him he had the talent to do acting as a career. i started reading the murderbot diaries and i’m usually not someone who likes sci-fi (or fantasy, for that matter) because my suspension of disbelief is at -0.0000000 degrees, but… this is so good and i freaking love murderbot
#i need to make a goodreads list of ‘books that made me laugh’ bc i rarely laugh when i read#probably like 6 books would be on there and asr is on there#off topic but ive noticed i like sci fi way more when its written by women
