an outdoor shopping center that has like a frozen yogurt shop thats clearly aping pinkberry but for legal reasons it has a name like bluemelon and sells terrible boba tea is a circle of hell made by devils in lower management that thought the usual fire and brimstone was a huge bummer and decided to make a hell that would be fun to visit but absolutely nightmarish to spend more than an hour and thirty minutes trapped within.

heavily gentrified/consumer focused downtown shopping districts have a very purgatorial air about them. trendy little local boutiques everywhere and not a one of them with an affordable shirt in your size, "thrift" stores full of upcycled vintage alongside dirty collectable mcdonalds toys you remember from your own childhood at equally exorbitant markups, gourmet french cafe bakeries that only offers beautiful macarons the size of a quarter, and at least one organic grocery store that predominantly sell you the idea of food so precious itll absolve you of the ignominy of needing to eat and digest.

every street is so so walkable and there is Nowhere To Sit.
