My Latest Project

Which I finished earlier this ring was my first propper soldering assignment.

First we made a bracelet. Where all the individual links were soldered.

Then we could make our own design for the second part of the assignment.

I ended up testing the limits of my precision given the allotted time frame.

As always I made a copper prototype first.

It was judged to just barely not be of sale worthy quality. Witch suits me just fine, since I had no intention of selling it.

Anyway now I’m off on holiday, and I have 3 more assignments before summer break.

I have a few different ideas tossing around in the ol’ noggin for this school years’ final project. I’m thinking of combining metalworking and woodworking.

For my next project I made mahogany dice with silver inlays for the eyes

Me and my peers have started on a 2 week wood working course.

Since Monday we’ve been practicing wood jointery. And we’ve gotten the plans for the final product.

The trials are made in pine wood and the final produkt will be in oak.

It’ll be a small box with a sliding lid.

Finnished my first silver jewlery this friday.

Been a busy semester:

Long story short, at the end of my summer break I decided to move halfway across the country to attend a private craft/art school I got into.

We’ve mostly been doing metal working, but we also had a period where we dove into leatherworking and we’ve been doing some technical drawing.

Highlights:

Doing great so far.

The Jule tide is right around the corner and I’m exited for the next semester.
