The Adventures of David Dashiki- Stories of an African American Hero., 2024 , Yea of the Black. Man...Willie Mays
Willie Mays... I have been in mourning. My world shrunk by the death of my hero, WILLIE MAYS. How could he die? He was immortal. I know that for I saw him on the field of play. He had no equal. Everything he did was immaculate, swift, smooth, grand always beautiful. It was as if he was performing some act in the drama that was his sport. He played his role magnificently. He wore no unique uniform. In dress ( probably a league mandate that team members had to wear similar attire). In that fact, Wille Mays was in disguise. within a few brief moments of observation, one asked, "Why do not the others perform as he?"
Willie Mays was the Mount Rushmore of baseball athletes. To name another as the greatest player is pure and unadulterated blasphemy. I still grapple with the fact of his passing. To acknowledge that a marvelous athletic machine of such skill, strength, agility, mastery and domination of his chosen sport could be conquered by anything even the death angel was incomprehensible to me. Hell! We are talking about, WILLIE MAYS. Impossible ! He was immortal.
Did you witness that catch he made in the 1954 World Series. Find it. Get it and be transformed. That was an unmanned rocket off the bat of Vic Wertz. Ordinary outfielders would not have made the effort. Willie Mays turned his back the plate. ran to the spot on the field which he somehow knew was the direction of the ball, settled in still with his back to the plate and waited for the ball to land. So it did ... comfortably into his glove. The stadium was awash in screams, shouts, yells and cheers. Willie Mays turned and fired the ball into the infield. From that monstrous clout, not one runner advanced a base. Hell! We are talking about WILLE MAYS.
WILLIE MAYS is immortal. Here is the statistical proof: National League Batting Champ in 1954...Total hits for his career:3,293. Home runs : 660. Runs Batted In: 1909 Stolen Bases:339. Years Played in the Major Leagues: 23. !00 RBI Seasons:10. Career Triples:301. Lead the League in Triples:3. Led League in Stolen Bases:4 years Rookie of the Year. National League MVP: 2x. Led League in Home Runs: 4x.. All Star Selection: 24x. Golden Glove Recipient: 12x. New York Giants Wall of Fame. All Century Team. Major League All Time Team. Hall of Fame
Willie Mays was lightening in a bottle, . that squeeze on your head when you witnessed the incredible. He was the magic your eyes would not accept in the moment. He was that miracle cure when all hope was seemingly lost. " If we can just get Willie to the plate!" , was the plea when the Giants were about to taste inevitable defeat. More than those splendid moments he made us forget, laugh and enjoy. excellence for a few hours a day. For those precious gifts we, i, you owe him your love and respect...
Excitement, enthusiasm, energy, expertise, expectation, These he possessed in abundance in addition to the * 5- tools. He was not merely the greatest centerfielder of all time . He was the center of the universe. Hey! We are talking about Willie Mays.
.LEADERSHIP...The leadership of the past has been a leadership more destructive than constructive. a leadership that misrepresented the true desires, the true hopes of this struggling race of ours...Marcus Garvey. July 23rd, 1921

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Stories/Lessons of/ for ALL African Americans-2024-Year of the Black Man

We believe in justice and human love. If our rights are to be respected, we too must respect the rights of all mankind: hence, we are ever ready and willing to yield to the white man the things that are his, and we feel that he too, when his conscience is touched, will yield to us the things that are ours. - Marcus Garvey
WHERE WAS i? AH, YES ! W E ARE BLACK PEOPLE. WE WERE BROUGHT TO THIS COUNTRY AGAINST OUR COLLECTIVE WILL NOW, CENTURIES LATER, AMERICA HAS YET TO PROVIDE RIGHTS PROMISED ALL CITIZENS OF THIS GREAT LAND. WHEN WE PROTESTED, THOSE FAILED, FAKE AND UNFILLED PROMISES, WHITE FOLKS BECAME ANGRY AND INSULTED BY THE ARROGANCE OF THOSE WHO PREVIOUSLYTENDERED THEIR CROPS, RAISED THEIR CHILDREN AND CLEANED THEIR RESIDENCES. THE RESPONSE OF WHITE FOLKS HAS BEEN TO DEVISE WAYS, MEANS AND LAWS TO FURTHER ENTRAP BLACK PEOPLE SO THAT THEY MIGHT REMAIN IN SERVITUDE. INDEED, AT NO TIME IN OUR LIFE IN AMERICA HAVE WE EVER TRULY BEEN WITHOUT CHAINS, MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY.
FIGHT AS WE COULD AND WOULD, BLACK EOPLE HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SECURE FOR OURSELVES EQUALITY IN THIS LAND OF BROKEN DREAMS. OUR LACK OF PERSISTENT FERVOR FOR COMBAT(AS WE WERE NOT ARMED FOR THE PHYSICAL ATTACKS) OR THE CONSTANT TWISTING AND BENDING OF LAWS SUPOSSEDLY FOR OUR BENEFIT AND THE SYSTEMIC RACISM SANDWICHED WITHIN GLIMPSES OF HOPE PREPARED TO TEASE US THAT FREEDOM WOULD BE OURS SOON. IN SHORT, THERE IS THE SENTIMENT THAT BLACK FOLKS JUST SURRENDERED. AND SETTLED INTO A LIFE OF SLAVERY SINCE THE PRICE OF FREEDOM WAS TOO COSTLY. THAT BELIEF HAS BEEN DEBUNKED FOR IT IS FAR FROM THE TRUTH
AFTER, centuries of vicious combat. ( ONE-SIDED AS IT WAS)..we are still at the same rung on the ladder toward liberty. In fact, evidence would reveal that we have regressed. There are few if any novel initiatives, objectives or goals as to the time our desire for freedom will be met. The demands for schools with properly licensed and competent instructors are but the rush of cold air over smoldering ashes. We cannot name a current and even a significant movement under the leadership of a fervent, militant person who strikes fear into the hearts of any political party. As a people, we are often regarded as weak and non-threatening like a fly you swat with a newspaper There are countries which receive aid and resources from America, in the billions of dollars without the expectation of reimbursement. We cannot solicit from our government, better housing, health care, enriched school curricula in spite of the fact that we pay taxes. Our citizenship is treated as a sick patient infirmed, debilitated, impotent. We have activated it only partially. for our petitions are simply ignored in the states. We have become too comfortable. We do not any longer feel the pinch of the shoe. We have become somewhat apathetic. The defeats have become painful If we are not cautious, we will lead our children down the same hopeless and gloomy path. We need not call ourselves citizens. African-Americans shake the drink up. We have rights. We can't sit around as if things have changed. They have not and we need to indicate our dissatisfaction to our country.
First, there is no platform for us in the upcoming elections. No candidate feels it necessary to include us in its agenda to improve and enhance the lives of Black persons living here. Everyone is silent. We are supposed to be loyal. Yes, but no one is loyal to us. Here i a plan of action for the Black Man today...in this year 2024-year of the Black Man. We are not angry. We want to see some movement on our issues. Our plan: Grant to us without struggle, conflict, anger, pressure or forethought, all rights, privileges advantages, protections provided all citizens of this great land. Let America truly be America for all of its people.

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Stories of an African American Hero- Graduation Time- Year of the Black Man -2024

We must canonize our own saints, create our own martyrs and elevate to positions of fame and honor Black men and women who have made their distinct contributions to our racial history- Marcus Garvey
I GRADUATED I graduated I am to be congratulated Nothing to be debated I am so very elated
Hey! It's certified All the skills taught I applied It was not officially ratified Until Grand Ma cried
Yes1 I wasn't playing Listening to the words I'm saying I did my school WORK without straying And I engaged in some hefty praying
I focused for there was little time Failure would be a capital crime I would be in classes passed my prime No more acting like I'm Big Time
So I kept my nose to the grind Studied nightly...Used my mind Friends would not be so kind If I did not the right path find
Start now . it's never too late Push that brain to percolate It is you and I who control, our fate I graduated...Ain't that great
I offer all some advice So enticing you might use it twice Graduation is so sweet and nice Be on time or pay that price I DID IT

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Stories of and African American Hero-2024 Year of the Black Man...Any where ,,,but here.
You and I fare no better in America, in the British Empire or in other parts of the white world. We fare no better than any Black man wheresoever. he shows his head. And why? Because we have been satisfied to allow ourselves to be led, educated, to be directed by the other fellow, who has always sought to lead in the world, in that direction that would satisfy him and strengthen his position- Marcus Garvey

Anywhere But Here...You've Graduated
I am so glad about your accomplishments i am elated to see you grow You've graduated...Got your papers It's time for you to go
I don't want to get emotional Scream, pain in the chest, drop a tear O, about your future arrangements Anywhere else...But not here
You've been gone for so long Not that you were a bother or pest We are creatures of habit We are enjoying the empty NEST.
i awake in the morning Naked as can be The truth is your absence Has brought out the best in me
Out of the way child Let Mommie do what she do How many times must I tell you? What's out of place here is you
Don't give me the side eye As if my request is bizarre or queer When you were smashing all living molecules in your dorm room You didn't want me near
Anywhere but here My decision...Enough time spent Got you a place way cross town And I handled the first month's rent
I had to make SOME CONCESSIONS with your Mama She didn't always agree So...if you move out in the next two days Another 3 month's rent on me
Consider it a reward For your diligence in school Just take the money with my blessing Don't be a damn fool
Peace , Quiet Those grand 4 years Now you are back to screw things up And bring an old man to tears
You are corrupt You believe it's all about the sex You, brute, you think so little of me I'm no animal, neither Fido nor Rex
I love you, Son But your Mama, even more You are cutting into my playtime Please! Please! Take the door
Grab the money And move ON So MaMa and I Can get our freak on ... Didn't you learn anything in College?

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Stories of an African American Hero-2024 Year of the Black Man...Daddy's Day

I am a Negro. I make absolutely no apology for being a Negro because my God created me to be what I am and as I am so I will return to my God for He knows just why He created me as He did. -Marcus Garvey
DADDY'S DAY WHAT DADDY DOES TO MOMMIE ON DADDY'S DAY IT ISN'T EVEN FAIR HE KISSES AND HUGS HER SO TIGHT SHE HAS TO COME UP FOR AIR

DADDY'S DAY IS SO SPECIAL TO OBSERVE MY FATHER AT PLAY WHENEVER MOMMIE TRIES TO CHECK HIM HE SCREAMS, "AAHHH NOO, IT'S DADDY'S DAY."
IT STARTS EARLY IN THE MORNING WITH BREAKFAST IN BED GIRL, THAT'S VERY THOUGHTFUL BUT I'LL HAVE A TASTE OF YIOU INSTEAD
THEN HOURS LATER, IT'S ALL ABOUT TOWN IT REALLY GOT CRAZY WHEN SHE HANDED HIM HIS CROWN
EVERY YEAR, OUT TO DINNER AND ONE VERY EXPENSIVE THING IN THAT MOMENT I REALIZED THE BLACK MAN IS A KING
ONCE HOME AGAIN DADDY GAVE ME THAT BIG BIG STARE A MESSAGE I COULD NOT IGNORE TIME FOR ME TO DISAPPEAR
GIGGLES AND LAUGHTER CRASH , BOOM AND TURBELENCE SOME OTHER CRIES AND ROARS WHICH MADE VERY LITTLE SENSE
THE NEXT DAY MOMMIE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO COMPLAIN DADDY WAS WALKING ON THE CEILING AND, FEELING NO PAIN
CONGRATULATIONS MOM AND DAD FOR ALL THE JOY, FUN AND TREAT MY RESERVATIONS ARE READY FOR NEXT YEAR IN MY USUAL FRONT ROW SEAT...YOUR SON APPRENTICE

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Stories of an African American Hero-2024- Year of the Black Man...What Gives Us the Right?

THE BLACK MOBILE
Who do they think they are? What gives them the right to dare to believe that they can invent such beauty and magnificence equal to anything we have already produced and have been constructing for so many , many centuries? Their audacity blinds them. Here is our answer to the comments above. Let it seal their mouth forever regarding our limitations : George Washington, Mae Jemison, Percy Julian, Shirley Ann Jackson, Garrett Morgan, Neil de Grasse Tyson, Katherine Johnson, Emmett Chappelle, Charles Henry Turner, James West, Kizzamekia Corbett, Marie Maynard Daly, Ernest Everet Just, Patricia Bath, Aprille Ericsson,

The Adventures of David Dashiki -Stories of an African America Hero-Year 2024-Year of the Black Man

PROTOTYPE...
The Black race needs no longer to look to another race for succor , for advice or political help. We must naturally look to ourselves. More and more we become disappointed in all our hopes; in all our ambitions, depending as we have been upon others...Marcus Garvey
The BLACK MOBILE
There is no automobile which fulfills all of the vehicular and stylistic/artistic desires, requirements and demands of the Black consumer. Then, we will have to invent it. We all agree. The time is ripe. A name ? Everyone danced around it hundreds of times when it was spoken. It will be called after our heroes, to honor all of the ancestors, for every movement. battle, struggle, defeat and conquest, the...Black Mobile.
There are times when we have been beaten down so much that we begin to think like our oppressors. Problems we should have solved. Inventions we should have initiated and completed rest idly in the creation corridors of our mind. In fact, we dare not engage in any technological projects for we fear the time would be wasted in failure. Douglass(F), Carver (GW), Lewis (J), King (M),, Washington (B), Dean (M), Julian(P), here listed are brilliant men and intellects who could successfully complete any creative endeavor. Sometimes, we transform the present situation into a greater puzzle than the reality for that moment requires. We just have to do it. Thus, today, as a demonstration of our audacity in 2024, year of the Blackman, I submit the prototype of a very American and exceptionally African American automobile, The Black Mobile. Indeed, there shall be no confusion or doubt who the inventors of this car are. Why stop there? We have had ample time to create more. Alas, this is America and opportunity for unlimited inventive genius abound. Thus, to the fleet of vehicles in the Black Mobile family, I present The Animal Kingdom.: The members/vehicles are: The Thurgood- The Lion-icon The Malcolm X- The Tiger-icon The Barack - The Cheetah-icon The Garvey-The Black Panther-icon The Twin Js - The Leopard - icon (Jackie R & Jackie K) The Shirley- The Fox -icon (first car ever designed specifically to the needs and tastes of women) These are not toys. These are swift, cunning, instinctive, intuitive, powerful, distinctive, aggressive, deluxe and majestic automobiles. They will comfort and motivate you to be the best as they are the most magnificent ever invented. They are the 8th wonders of the universe. Let's observe and examine. The first vehicle in the Black Mobile family examination and close scrutiny is The Barack Cheetah
History: Birthed in the minds and hearts of those who survived the Great Sea Voyage, it has taken us longer for we were not free to dream, imagine or design as other races were. We were brought to America to be slaves, to help others achieve their goals. Yet, we hid our hopes, buried them deep within us. Today is that day from years ago. Today the time is ripe. Today, the vision of our vehicle is real and palpable. Today we start the engine. We told and encouraged ourselves to never stop believing. An idea crushed to earth will rise again. The company will be composed of Black citizens who were and are the crusaders, risktakers and warriors in this and other industries. We, the owners will promise to live without excuses (For, there will be stops and starts). We will live without fear (Fear simply means to change direction). We will live by faith ( Ain't nothing too hard for the believers.). Even today is late. (However, creations happen with just one step).
From the very inception of the arrogant thought...A vehicle produced by Black citizens of America for the world to drive, to operate, to pilot, to manage, to navigate, to enjoy, we knew that the world would be a better place. indeed.
These vehicles would have to be bold, haughty, brave, audacious and daring. They would reflect the history of its roots. Regardless of the barriers, hurdles, hardships and hindrances, they would perform. The Black Mobiles would never fail or falter.
The Barack Cheetah...PROTOTYPE

The Barack, because of its name would have to be sophisticated worldly, diplomatic, confident, sleek and smooth. In short , it would have to show itself to be presidential. The supreme stateman of the world commands people beyond and across boundaries. The vehicle would respond with alacrity and celery. In the Barack, almost all of the controls are verbal...speed, ventilation, entertainment, travel and comfort. The instruments would respond to 50 languages. The Exterior: Entry to the vehicle would be controlled by voice and key. When the owner approaches, the car signals a known presence by waving it s lights. With a command from the owner, the doors open. The set of previously assigned seat belt sizing and locks would await command. The onboard valet greets the passenger, inquires about musical pleasure, drinks and snacks. The Interior: This is the vehicle's living quarters. The rooms have a full wall of apps for entertainment, games and communication. The GPS can communicate with the destination through a streaming hook up. The interior walls are an extensive television and musical component. Sides of the walls can be lifted off for watching special features or games. The cockpit (In the front of the vehicle) has all the car's controls and commands. There is a unique control for tires for uneven or slippery terrain. A command will have them grip and adjust air pressure to gain better control. in inclement weather The Vehicle is a hybrid. It travels from 0-60 miles per hour in 5 seconds There are other outstanding features: Self Car Washing, Lift- away Doors, The Cheetah: Represents speed and performance, It's the fastest land animal on earth. In spite of its dazzling speed, the engine puuuuurrrs, It does not roar. It is made of the finest metals, irons and steel. Its ride is high class and gentle. Some say that the car caresses the body . You know there is movement, but you feel nothing. The Barack -Cheetah possesses a cooling system which soothes the engine, There is no fight between them. It is a totally symbiotic union. There are nostrils for air intake and lungs to maintain that air in storage until needed for expulsion. The Barack-Cheetah is not a gasoholic. Trips to gas stations are limited to once a week More novel features are the tuckaway side panels which make the vehicle more aerodynamic during acceleration. The structure or frame stretches or elongates to imitate the cheetah to reach higher speeds. The automobile lowers itself to aid the car in piercing the outside wind at top speed . The purpose here is to advise Black folks that invention is possible for us also. All men are created equal. The wonderful opportunity to start an automobile production plant in a city of choice summons us with a joyous and long overdue invitation. This is available for investment purposes to our people all over the Earth. However, for time lost, we need to jumpstart the process . We offer the wealthy people we have among us like Shaq, LeBron, Curry, Jay-Z & Beyonce. to step out on faith. We can do this. We can produce our own captivating automobiles and provide employment opportunities for our people. What is important is that we create and control the dream from its inception to completion...THANK YOU, MARCUS!!!
P.S. Can't wait to get started with the full design. There is much to be added which was not included here. The creative possibilities are endless in this YEAR OF THE BLACK MAN 2024

The Adventures of DAVID DASHIKI- Story of an African American Hero- Year of the Black Man ...2024

We did not come here of our own free will. We were brought here and so the question of birth does not enter into the question. - Marcus Garvey
Daddy Dashiki... Our children are born to do great things. I am tired of failing school, teachers fighting to encourage OUR children to reach their potential, low promotion and graduation rates... AND no one to assume the responsibility for our poorly educated children, especially the young Black men, our future. They are OURS. Thus, we must take full leadership in their care. We are the parents who must... who are checking, involved and brave. We are willing to do more so that our children can accomplish more. Our desire is that our children who are exceptional perform in that manner in the classrooms of the world. We have informed our sons and daughters that we are in charge of their education and that we want a ROI.
The 12 Commandments 1. Our children must be ready, eager and prepared for daily instruction 2. They must be washed, buffed, polished and scrubbed so that they realize the importance of what they are about to do. 3.We must provide some words or encouragement before our children depart the domicile. The devil is everywhere on their way to learning. FORTIFY THEM. 4. All children arriving at or departing school are to walk in the company of at least 3-5 classmates or friends, upper and lower. grades 5. Students/ children must be assigned certain critical duties such as: proper and neat dress, homework check, vaseline care, chapstick, application, hand cream, tools of the day-notebooks, pencil and pens , if necessary.. 6. Checkers for students' preparedness are to be compensated with cookies or cake, games and other treats. Money as an incentive is inappropriate. for assisting friends. Assignments are to be rotated 7. Before separating for classes, the checkers should say a few remarks about proper behavior and focus. 8 Tests and test scores are important. Parents must keep a record of the children". assessments and review the results with them.. 9. We must not act as if we have our head inserted in our as...es. Talk about school every night. 10 Start the day with school and end the day with school. 11. Reward children for excellence. 12. Never be ashamed to smother children with love (hugs and kisses) for scholarship and diligence 13. Read to the children every night. Have the babies read to us every night. 14. Find excuses to stay in email, chat, text or personal contact with the teachers.. 15. As my track coach would say as my teammates prepared for the long summer vacation, " Never lose contact with the TRACK.': i say..." NEVER LOSE CONTACT WITH YOUR CHILD!" 16. STAY IN CONTACT WITH THE PARENTS OF CHILDREN WHO HAVE LOST THEIR WAY. WE ARE OUR BROTHERS' KEPER. HELP THEM. TEACH THEM. LOVE THEM. LEAVE NO CHILD BEHIND. 17. GET BUSY WITH THOSE PARENTS. DERIVE A PLAN TO MAKE THEM SUCCESSFUL BY EXPANDING THEIR WORLD... DINING OUT, BOOKS, TRIPS, HOBBIES, MUSIC, TEAM SPORTS, ART. SHINE A LIGHT ON THOSE FAMILIES SO THAT THEY WILL BE ENERGIZED TO PROGRESS AND GROW BOTH INTELLECTUALLY AND SOCIALLY
THESE ARE THE 12 COMMANDMENTS. BUT WHO'S COUNTING?

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Story of an African American Hero- Year of the Black Man - 2024
I grew up with other Black and white boys. I was never whipped by any, but made them all respect the strength in my arms. I got my education from many sources ---through private tutors, two public schools, two grammar or high schools and two colleges. My teachers were men and women of varied experiences and abilities; four of them were eminent preachers. They studied me and I studied them. With some I became friendly in after years, others and I drifted apart, because as a young boy, they wanted to whip me and I simply refused to be whipped. I was not made to be whipped. It annoys me to be defeated; hence to me, to be once defeated is to find cause for an everlasting struggle to reach the top...Marcus Garvey
April 15th, 2024 is the 77th anniversary of the entrance into major league baseball by Jackie Robinson. So impactful was his struggle and how he overcame it, were reasons enough for the entire league to honor him every year on this date. When Jackie was selected to be the one, the anointed. by Branch Rickey, the general manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers, a pact was made that Jackie would not fight back his first year to all of the insults, the physical attacks, the racism he would subjected to. White fans were angry that he would be allowed to play in what they considered America's sport. Jackie was not considered worthy of that honor because he was Black. Jackie, unselfishly agreed to the agreement made with Branch. It was the second of the many problems and dilemmas he would have to face. Jackie had to take all of this abuse while competing to help his team win the pennant and the world series of baseball. Jackie never quit. Pitchers threw at his head, Opponents roughed him up on the base paths and even spiked him. He was called the n .....word on more than a few occasions. In certain ball parks, the fields were locked so that the team could not play. Jackie was married and had the responsibility of caring for his wife. Still, he persevered without complaint. I, Daddy Dashiki, feel his pain and anxiety to this day. I am reminded of what Marcus Garvey said that some teachers wanted to whip him as a boy. He would not stand for that. He said that he was not made to be whipped. Neither was Jackie. he endured those insults for the world to bear witness... What was inside Marcus, that spirit of never wanting to be defeated, was in the soul of Jackie. He took the mental and physical blows. That inspiration and motivation to meet every challenge with the sense of victory and never internalize defeat is also in every one of us. It is in our D N A. The stolen Africans forced into slavery possessed it in unfathomable abundance. Other nations would have perished in the ships. Never forget that. We are survivors. We look terror in the face and laugh. We are here for a purpose. We are not here to act as slaves. We are not here to be less than the kings and queens from whom we have descended. We must fear not and recharge our intellectual and energizer batteries. America wants us to surrender. This country knows what is inside of us. If it did not, it would never try so zealously and eagerly to extinguish our flame. As Garvey said, " We once defeated we must find cause for an everlasting struggle to reach the top...OUR CHILDREN...OUR FUTURE- No greater cause exists than the fight for equality than they
May I pause for a minute to list some of the idiotic things we have had to endure in America. We have a democratic system of government and Black people lived through these stupid attempts to eliminate our full participation in it. Stupid Stuff that America did: segregated movie theaters, buses, water fountains, schools, restaurants, fast food diners, bars, hospitals, toilets, parks and telephone booths. Black people have expressed the fact that they have felt discriminated against in interactions with the police, applying for a job, being paid equally or seeking a promotion, trying to buy a house or rent a car, going to a doctor or clinic. These are not identified criminals or persons being hunted down by the police for a crime committed. These are citizens of the United States targeted and maltreated because of the color of their skin). During these times and practices of harassment, America has sacrificed its position as the most scholarly, humane, productive, creative and dynamic country in the world. Greatness will never happen, flourish or develop, in a country engaged in an undeclared war with half of its citizenry...The losses are immeasurable because even America does not know the contributions which might have been made had Black Americans had not America, during its imbecilic, short-sighted and senseless era engaged in the killing, murders, lynchings and abuses of so many). Then, there are the daily losses via the unfair and unequal system of education, sub-standard and inadequate housing and malnutrition. They all add up. Fight On My Brothers in spite of the struggle. You are the blood and flesh of the ancestors. We are not here to serve out any death sentence. We are here to win.

THE ADVENTURES OF DAVID DASHIKI-STORY OF AN AFRICAN AMERICAN HERO-YEAR OF THE BLACK MAN...2024

the Negro-will have to build his own government, industry, art, science, literature and culture before the world will stop to consider him-Marcus Garvey
We will only progress and advance in accordance with the sacrifices we are will to make-Daddy Dashiki.
I speak here of kingdom building. Why are we unwilling to abandon the false nails and wigs and represent ourselves in the natural state in which God made us even before we were born? I feel people mock us. We purchase from stores that won't hire us or our children for work in them. We purchase hair from people who consider our natural hair an unworthy product and will not sell it in their establishments. This, I believe is the ultimate insult. I am not criticizing. I am alerting my people of the things we have to forego to gain respect in the world. We are not beholden to anyone. No one has consistently shown a desire to support or go to battle with us in our demand for equality and opportunity and happiness. When we engage in the struggle, others become invisible. So, we must avoid patronizing groups who feel no regret when they abandon us. It is time for us to be smart and strategic. also. Let our actions express unity. Have them signify brotherhood. There is the belief that the people of color group is an army ready to join his brethren, his Black brothers in arms in the heat of battle. The purpose of the POC was to display the power, strength and collaboration that would frighten the Crunchistines and have them change their mind about attacking or abusing the potent 'People of Color' Warriors. Find another group to harass or the weight of the total kingdom of the POC would fall on your head. Attempt and foolishness and there would be hell to pay. The problem with the POC' was that few If any of the members believed in the Black associates or wanted to keep company with them. In short, no one wanted to be Black, but the Black members. The non-Black members punked out. They found it less taxing and complicated to simply separate themselves from the POC organization and solve their problems on their own. The POC, never, congealed. Sections felt themselves superior to the Black members. These rogues were not enamored with the daily battles. With pressure from the white Crunchistines, the rogues began to question the ability and aptitude of the Black members. These rogues stated that they did not sign up for this type of perpetual conflict. Perhaps our Black members do not have the sophistication to unwarp the nuances of politics for themselves. This is what happens when you are unaware of how things work. Non-Black Members of the POC felt superior to the Black members. They began to wonder why Blacks were having so much trouble handling racism and securing their rights. There must something wrong with Black people. Since the non Black members of POC had no background in African American history. they drank the Kool Aid and group began to disintegrate.
I laugh when I hear the words 'people of color'.
We must show the world that we are serious. If you have an enterprise, we will demonstrate that we will support it if you are supportive of our right to live in America as the equal of any man. If you are unable to do that , we will not spend a dime at the counter, no matter how valid you might have as reasons for your lack of participation and comprehension.in our daily war. We fight to improve our living conditions here at home. We cannot be cowards or punks. We will conduct ourselves as equal citizens as America did to the British. Unlike most Americans we have few to no options. We serve our families, our children, our fellow Black compatriots or we die.
A Black mother takes her children to what she considers the local school. She has to show identification and documentation for her children. Minutes pass. Still the mother cannot register the children Finally a white school parent, tired of the process, stands at the front desk and demands that the children are matriculated and that the racism halt immediately or she will call the local television station. Quiet and anger permeate the room, but, the children are placed and the stalling ends. I wish America was this way. I wish there was true integration. I wish that children could attend school anywhere. I wish parents who witness similar situations would speak up and defend children so that they will never have to be made to feel unwanted or embarrassed again. O , but I am not naive!
Brothers! We have to stand with and over our family.

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Story of an African American Hero-Year of the Blackman 2024... Our Black Woman

We must canonize our own saints, create our own martyrs and elevate to positions of fame and honor Black Men and Women who have made their distinct contributions to our race history - Marcus Garvey
We have been stripped of culture, heritage, religion and language. We have been abandoned and left without models of conduct and behavior. We err frequently but, there is no malice in us. We are human in a land that has destroyed our roots and connections to a past rich in academics and discipline. We do know this. That we must change to survive. We must treat all Black men as our brothers. None should suffer savagery, brutality, fear and abuse by our hands. Certainly, if one brother is abused, we all must bear the pain and assist in the resolution of the issues in question. We must, from this day forward , unite with our brothers. We are one. We will always be one. America has taught us so. Our plan for freedom includes every Black Man on this planet.
We will never again speak negatively about a brother. We shall expect proper respect and decorum from all our brothers. Should a Black brother have a quarrel, it will be solved in an orderly and peaceful manner according to the teachings of our forefathers and the scriptures, writings and revelations of our heroes, parents and teachers. Our children will conduct themselves as youth of dignity, honor, worth and decorum. They will never disrespect an adult especially those in authority. This mandate applies particularly to our children when they are engaged in educational activities and pursuits. Should the matter not be solved to the satisfaction of the teacher, it will be taken to a higher ranking official. This will continue until the concern is corrected. We, as Black Men, have to handle affairs with adults with the utmost respect. They are the carriers of the culture and instructors in their education. Let me stand firm and speak on a matter of grave concern to me and should be unsettling to all of us. Garvey said that we must canonize our own saints There has been at times, incidences of poor discipline towards our Black female teachers. This is halted today. No woman who is struggling with the education of our young adults should ever feel unwanted, humiliated or frustrated in that effort, especially, when America has purposely permitted our children to act disrespectfully toward them without demanding excellence, adoration, esteem and courtesy to their teaching elders. This, we know is the plan of America for our children that they expect nothing of themselves and disrespect those who can teach them and provide direction. However, it is when the children attempt to assume the role as teacher is when we, The Real Black Men of America, draw a line in the sand. These are our queens. They endured the most inhumane acts of cruelty during slavery. They sacrificed, bled and died for us. They were left with no sense of self because they had to surrender it all to the slave master. Don't ever forget that. You are here because they gave their life, and body and soul that YOU might have better. They are to be treated as royalty for what they have endured in this land to save and educate all of us. You, students ,must read about the Great Sacrifices. These are not just women. They are saints. Never, and I mean, never disrespect them. To do so is to sin. What you must do, Black Youth, is to greet them wherever you meet them. Tell them they are beautiful .Tell they do not need long fingernails or store bought hair. We, the Black young folks, love you as you are. Those false so-called enhancements only enrich the kingdoms and coffers of others. You enrich our lives by being the Black Queen that you are.
Rosa Parks, Shirley Chisholm, Coretta Scott King, Fannie Lou Hamer, Marve Collins, Ida B. Wells, Bessie Coleman, Mary McLeod Bethune, Mary Eliza Mahoney, Mary Ellen Pleasant, Fannie Barrier, Edmonia Lewis, Mary Church Terrell, Barbara Jordan, Lorraine Hansberry, Amelia Boynton Robinson, Constance Baker Motley, Claudette Colvin, Barbara Smith, Tarana Burke, Ruby Bridges, Lyda Newman, Bell Hooks, Mae Jemison...The list of beauty, grace, intellect and courage is even longer. These Black Queens did not run from danger when it appeared. They stood valiantly and met it head on. There are women exactly like them in your home. in the hospital, in the classroom and in the church. Do not take them for granted. Honor them. They are our Queens. IF WE DO NOT HONOR THEM, NO ONE WILL. RESPECT OUR PEOPLE. WHEN WE HONOR THEM, GOD WILL BLESS THE WORK...AMEN!!!
BLACK QUEEN, SHINE ON !!!!!

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Story of an African American Hero - Year of the Black Man -2024
WHETHER WE WILL ACCEPT CIVILIZATION AS IT IS OR PUT IT UNDER A RIGID EXAMINATION TO MAKE IT WHAT IT OUGHT TO BE AS FAR AS OUR RACE IS CONCERNED-Marcus Garvey
I am disappointed. In fact, i AM DISGUSTED. Here we are in year 2024 and still we have not as a country defined , clearly defined, the role of the African American. In my research on Marcus Garvey, I recognized that he asked that same question 100 years ago. Since America has not advocated for our happiness and safety, it is our right to do so. His words challenged us to act immediately and courageously. Why are we so docile? What rushed us into seclusion while other groups have prospered? It is time. The Montgomery Bus Boycott was indeed, a magnificent triumph. What then limited its application and implementation throughout America? WE are not welcomed on Wall Street. Why have we not created our own. The doors of Silicon Valley, Princeton, Harvard, Yale, IBM, Microsoft, are closed to us. Why do we feel it necessary to continue to seek entrance or beg for ENTRANCE into them? We have to expand and enlarge our vision of what is possible for us. We should no longer doubt that we are not included in the grand image of an African American leading in the development of an all - inclusive homeland with broad strokes of participation by every citizen. Why are we not at the moment inventing airplanes and cars? Surely, we can own and manage banks and insurance companies. We have the talent to exercise the professions of law and medicine. Garvey asked the question, " Where are our leaders? Where are our men of big affairs? We are here and systematically excluded from participation in the big jobs and works by racism. I, Daddy Dashiki, am exhausted and irritated by the red tape, blue tape ,white tape and racist tape designed to limit our pursuit of happiness.
KIA, SAMSUNG, NISSAN, FUJITSU, MITSUBISHI, HONDA, HYUNDAI, ACURA, INFINITI, LEXUS, SUBARU, TOYOTA, sound so sweet. The melody of these enterprises ring in our ear and remind how we are frozen out of the ability to achieve their success. These are, in no way magical endeavors. God has not suddenly blessed them in so many ways that commercial triumph was inevitable. Nonsense! The mighty hands of racism have allowed their mercantile accomplishments. We, can replicate their astounding economic feats. They are industrious and determined. So are we. We have had higher mountains to climb and wider rivers of racism to cross. Today, we choose to ignore the obstacles and focus on victory with our plans.
We have to dream larger. We have to know that the obstructions and impediments are part of the struggle. However, they do not represent hindrances, They are the training grounds. We spit on them and get busy with the work. Marcus spoke about our lack of people in prominent places as symbols of our progress. We need not guess what we must do. It is there for all to see. Possess the land. Where are our hospitals ? Marcus declared, " If I cannot find them, I will help to build them." We do not have hospitals to serve our own people. We will help to make them. Mount Sinai, Sloan Kettering, North Shore, Nassau University Medical Center, Avent Health, Baylor University, Fairview Park, Genesis. These are the models of excellence that we will follow to do for ourselves.
Where are our banks? Chase, Capital One , Barclays, TD, PNC Bank, Here are the models we can emulate. Where are our franchises? Burger King, McDonalds, Wendys, Subway, Arby's Taco Bell, KFC, alas, we need not fear. The opportunities to copy for success are limitless. Where are our cars, inventions and car dealerships ? Buick, Ford, Chrysler, Mercury, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Jeep, Dodge, just cast your gaze to the neighborhoods near and around you. We must dream huge. For we will become what we think about all day. Might we own these places, these banks, car dealerships? What? Why not ? Dream Big!
Where are our sports teams? There will be many offered up for sale. There will be others for whom, we, Black athletes, have won pennants and even world series. We should be in consideration in the moment of a sale. The METs, Dodgers, Reds, Marlins, Braves, when they are ready to sell, we must be there. Our reach will include the sport of Basketball. Where are they? The Knicks, NETS, Bucks, Lakers, Hawks, Nuggets, these are money magnets which generate such ridiculous amounts of revenue that they can pay their players millions of dollars for one season. Dream Vast !
Where are our supermarkets, departments stores? Asians are fearless. They have so flooded the market with their products, that it is said, "From the time you rise from your bed and until you rest your head, you have interacted with at least 5 or more Asian products or devices." Where are our products and devices, Marcus Garvey was correct. We have to flood the world shamelessly with our intelligence and ingenuity. It is a sign of progress. It a sign that we will not allow racism to stifle our dreams . It is the ultimate sign that we, African Americans have grown some balls.

The Adventures of David Dashiki-Story of an African American Hero-Year of the Black Man -2024

I AM WRITING FOR THE MASSES-PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN ACCUSTOMED TO SERIOUS READING MATTER- I MUST HAMMER IN WHAT I WANT TO IMPRESS ON THEIR MINDS. ...READ! READ ! READ! AND NEVER STOP UNTIL YOU DISCOVER THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE UNIVERSE. - MARCUS GARVEY
There is a process toward freedom. Nothing is acquired, attained or seized without planning and hard work. There must be intention, avarice and courage. If one of the three is lacking, do not begin the enterprise. Here presented is the enigma inside the puzzle. Black Men, we must work harder on ourselves than anyone or any other thing. The fight for liberty is not a game. It is neither football nor baseball. It has to be our obsession. We must labor for it, forsake all else for it, dedicate fully our life to it and contemplate upon it day and night. What we think about most of the time, WE ARE. Our enemies must know of our devotion to the purpose, plan and pursuit They must fear the thought of combat against such valiant and formidable opponents as we. We relish the fight. We hunger for it For, at the end of the struggle , we will be liberated.
The Plan:
Step 1. Know that this is a battle for the mind. Those who understand this fully and are willing to fight vigorously for that control, will be declared victorious.
Step 2. We arrive at the battle fields with a deficit. We have been bombarded with negative thoughts, impressions, Images, figures, portrayals, ,ideas, perceptions, thoughts of who we are and what we can accomplish. We, first must create an exit strategy for the eradication of these false visions and notions.
Step 3 We, led by our Black men, must install new constructs and concepts about who we shall be from this day forward.
Step 4. Our plan for the new BLACKNESS must be universally applied...churches, schools, businesses, organizations, fraternities, societies. The theme Is to be called, ONE VOICE.
Step 5. There will be no slogans without the ability to implement. We deserve it...has to carried out with fervor and effectiveness. We deserve it will reflect the fact we know that to merely repeat it/ THE EXPRESSION will not bring it to fruition. Everything we undertake will require and demand WORK!
Step 6. We have to believe that our history, abuse, trials and tribulations in America must be recorded, written and taught in history classes throughout America. This is a goal that will not be compromised. We have an obligation to expose and express it for the ancestors.
Step 7. Ours will not be a moan and groan history. It will highlight our successes and achievements in spite of the prejudice and abuse. We do not boast enough about our greatness. We are too silent. We must fill the textbooks, curriculum with our worth. The goals here are to acknowledge our patriotism, and exceptional achievements in spite of the domestic terrorism and our peaceful demonstrations while our brothers and sisters made the ultimate sacrifice. Persecuted, prosecuted and executed for the color of our skin. We, Black Men must make a noise so loud that our very silence is magnified.
ARE YOU NOT DISAPPOINTED? AT TIMES, ARE YOU NOT EMBARRASSED? THEN, LET US DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. WE MOVE FROM INACTIVITY TO FOCUSED ACTION. NNNNNOOOOOWWWWW!11
