now, i wont claim to 8e the guys 8iggest fan, 8ut jesus christ, shitting on this dudes career is like digging up dear sweet 8uttercup and 8eating the shit out of her just for the sake of claiming a moral high ground. of course, hes had some 8ad roles, 8ut like, who hasnt? ashton kutcher as steve jo8s? topher fucking grace as eddie 8rock in spiderman three?? to 8ase the merit of an actor solely on 8ad roles, and worse yet, poor casting is such a shit way to critique something and yet again just proves that you want to shit one some8ody just to shit on some8ody–which can 8e fun, sure, 8ut youre really gonna sit here and tell me its purely 8ased on fact? now, it pro8a8ly isnt the sign of a quote ‘good actor’ unquote that he sort of /needs/ to 8e typecast 8ut frankly so does jim carrey and you dont see millions of people calling him 8ad at his jo8–the point im trying to make here 8eing that for the roles nic was good in, he was GOOD. into the spiderverse? the sorcerers apprentice? the fucking CROODS???????? everyone neglects the good roles he had in favor of making fun of him for movies he was cast poorly in or movies that were poorly produced (looking at you, ghost rider 2) or movies that try to shoehorn him into the role of the conventionally attractive lead man that gets the girl when its just… entirely unecessary for the plot? and yeah, theres sometimes a 8it of disconnect with his roles 8ased purely on how he sounds 8ut i really dont think that justifies the pure and sheer vitriol even 8ringing him up incites! i have never seen a rage so primal and a8solutely incandescent as the type of anger in a self-entitled, self-important cinephile dead set on convincing anyone within earshot that nic cage is a [[end transcription]]
