Shortly after the start of the Seventh Moon, the citadel has announced the beginning of Autumn. The temperatures are getting a little bit cooler across Westeros, the leaves are beginning to turn various colorful hues, and the oppressive heat that some regions deal with during summer is finally beginning to become a little bit more bearable.
In order to celebrate the season, we have come up with some seasonal prompts for threads/posts that can be used with characters regardless of the regions.

The assassination attempts on the King and Queens and their half-brother have led them to believe that something needed to be done in order to ensure that no further attempts were made and that the family was safe. The decision was made to create a Kingsguard and Visenya Targaryen suggested that they modeled the vows the knights would be taking after those of the Night's Watch.
Invitations have been sent out to all noble houses, inviting any knights from their families to come to Aegonfort to stand in front of their rulers if they wish to be chosen as one of the Kingsguard Knights. If chosen though, they would be giving up the right to marry, father children, and to hold land once they swear their vows as it is a title that they will hold for their lifetime. Only six knights will be chosen in total to stand alongside their newly named Lord Commander, Yrian Darkwood, representing the seven Kingdoms that were united under Aegon Targaryen's rule.
Building off of the event from the last few months, the June event is focusing on bringing the Kingsguard into existence! We cannot wait to see how people use this in their posts this month!

Though peace is slowly settling throughout Westeros and the lands are learning how to exist as a single kingdom, not everyone is happy about the Targaryen rise in power. The Faith of the Seven has technically endorsed Aegon Targaryen as King, there are those that do not agree with the High Septon's decision to do so.
The Grand Captain of the Faith Militant doesn't appreciate that the Targaryens get to pick and choose what aspects of the Faith they follow, flaunting their disregard for the beliefs through their practice of polygamy and incest. They believe something needs to be done about it and those that follow them seem to agree that they need to suffer for these sins. There are even those amongst them that believe the Targaryens and their sins are to blame for the Summer Sickness as it was clearly a punishment from the Seven.
Despite wanting to take action, the Grand Captain knows that nothing would be sanctioned by the High Septon and therefore, they decide to operate in the darkness. Their main targets are of course the Targaryens, but they take this opportunity to target other sinners in order to try and throw suspicion away from them and the fact that they are in fact committing treason.
The April event is continuing through the month of May! The posts that have been done for the attempts themselves have been a joy to read so far, as have some of the reactions! This will tie into future plots and we can't wait to see what people come up with.

He was home when news came of dragons, dragon fire, and a King wanting to be the only King. Aegon. An ambitious task. Between rangings and hunts, his play-by-play of the Conquest was fragmented. No dragons came as far north as he did. It was quite a tense moment to return to when news of Harrenhall and its burning came. The Lord Commander's family. He kept his vows and remained with his black brothers. As he should. The vows were a binding promise. Osric doubted the gods would look kindly upon him if he abandoned his vows to march with his ten thousand brothers to avenge Harrenhall and his brother. Aegon received his crown. Osric continued ranging beyond the Wall. Dragons wandered in his daydreams, the horse at times growing wings. A dragon in the grasp of the Others would be a devastating thing. So he hoped dragons would remain in his daydreams.

She grew up knowing she was not an attractive child. She had seen the beauties of the Gardener court, and she did not think she compared. While her brothers spent time practicing with the Gardener children, she also spent time with other girls at court. While she did not think herself a great beauty, she did have a confidence to her and musical talent that helped her in making friends around her age. And once she had her younger sister, she easily took on the role of taking her sister with her and introducing her to others, wishing for her sister to make friends as well. As she flowered and became a woman, though a little later than some of the other girls she knew, she found a certain beauty in herself, and a confidence in her worth. While she found an enjoyment in flirting with boys, she did know better than to truly test any of the waters. While she may have had a few secret kisses, she was sure never to go further, and in truth the boys she kissed did not seem to press for much more. Danelle likes to believe it was really down to the chivalry the Reach was known for, but it could have also been her brothers that kept men in check. It did mean she could be a bit of a tease with some of the boys, and she enjoyed the game of flirting, though she ensured she kept her virtue. She had hopes of marrying into the Gardener family, if her father could negotiate such, and she would not let rumors that she was promiscuous jeopardize that.

Westeros. The Rogares had never been there, but they saw Aegon and his sisters and they saw opportunity, an opportunity for old blood of Valyria to meet in kind. Power and position, the head of house Rogare often said, are everything. And the Rogares would have it again. There was also the matter of blood- were they not also from the oldest of Valyrian lands? Were they not also entitled to some of the most precious fruits there were? Dragons were power exemplified, and the Rogares hungered. Even before Aegon was king, they looked at Westeros and saw opportunity. If they could set up trade networks with the various kings and squabbling lords, then they could potentially have an even further lucrative empire. They could have exclusive contracts, the kind that would belong to their family in perpetuity. In turn, they would gain power in Lys- not just magisters, but the foremost among them, the closest one could get to royalty in Lys. With her second oldest brother as both her male guardian and to help oversee the beginning of the new roots of the next branch of the Rogare trading empire, Maera moved to the crownlands into a handsome house in the wealthiest district of a fledgling city, serving as one of Rhaeny's maids of honor, and hopefully marrying a man who could elevate the family status and bring business connections from Westeros to Lys. It's a move that has been years in planning- to gain enough trust to at least move their daughter from one country to another. Maera is aware that Rhaenys does not trust her as much as her other maids of honor, but she is determined to change that. A new world, a new land, and new opportunities.

It was lonely, though her sister joined her not long after. Serenei had dreams and a knack for the flames, but Naerys had the Lord of Light. She was a natural, it seemed, picking up first on how to see the messages from their Lord in the fire, and then on how to interpret them. While Sera had dreams of a dragon coming to save them, Naerys was taught of the ancient prophecies from Asshai, of the battle between R’hllor, their god of light and warmth and life, and The Great Other, who was cold and dark and death itself. Their struggle would only end when Azor Ahai, the legendary hero, would return with flaming sword Lightbringer, and wake dragons from stone. She saw him in the flames, but all of the priests said the same. She thought she saw him against a hydra with seven heads, but each head had a different face. Was this the face of the Great Other? She kept on with her prayers and spells, learned to like the loose red robes and subtly rebelled with jeweled belts, always with rubies and garnet. She learned to masquerade her appearance with magic, though she only ever used it to turn her hair a fiery red.

So Olyver had to find other ways to carry on. He focused on rebuilding his strength, throwing himself into his drills and sparring matches with his brother. He hoped to be back in fighting shape in time to help put down the Sistermen’s rebellion, but King Aegon ordered the Northmen to step in far more quickly than he’d expected. Truthfully, Olyver was a bit relieved not to have to take up arms against the people of the Three Sisters, whom he’d struggled to think of as the enemy. Indeed, as soon as the rebellion was officially over, Olyver urged his father to renew trade relations with the islands. With the violence of the conquest finally coming to a close, Olyver began to find a new normal for himself. He renewed his duties as his father’s heir, even volunteering to go meet with the lesser lords and the smallfolk when necessary. Between these outings, hunting trips taken with his brother, and his continued focus on training, he found ways to stay busy. Perhaps his life was not as easy as it once had been, but he now felt certain that there was another kind of contentment waiting for him. He just had to find it.

That became one of the least of your concerns though when the Dragon King made his intentions known and began to conquer Westeros. It was no surprise when King Gardner called his banners, but was an unexpected blow from your father when he informed you that you would not be answering the call. As you were heir and had not yet provided one of your own, he would not allow for you to march off into battle with him or the Gardner forces. You were to stay at the Arbor in case the unthinkable happened because you were the future of the family. You thought he was just being overly cautious and even resented him a little bit for making you sit on the sidelines but then the Field of Fire happened and the raven arrived to inform you that your father had perished in the flames and that you were now Lord of the Arbor and Lord Commander of the Redwyne Fleet. That resentment disappeared quickly and you came to the realization that he had been right to keep you back otherwise you both would have perished that day.

Her husband had always been loyal and steadfast to his father, and so when the dragons came calling to him and the Mootons of Maidenpool, they answered. She waited at home as the picture perfect wife, handkerchief in hand with their son, barely a year old, and mentally prepared herself for the potential that she would become a lady regent if all went askew. Even if their world would end up shaken, it was in a different, arguably better way - with their defeat in what became Aegon’s First Test, the Darklyns threw their weight behind the young king and not the sitting Storm King Durrandon. Her good-father slain, her husband was the lord of Dun Fort and Duskendale. It was terrifying when he left again, and the fear crept in, but with their new position as one of their earliest allies, Sylva flourished. She went to Aegonfort as it was being expanded to offer support, lend a hand, and ingratiate herself at court though she held no position, being the lady of Dun Fort and her husband absent. She was a woman about court and pleased to be so. Increasingly she hid her pre-married life. House Buckler was among the houses sent forth by their king to prevent the march from Aegonfort, and failed to hold them back. One of her brothers was killed in the melee, another in the burning of the dragonflame in the woods there. They were subjects now of Lord Orys Baratheon, rumored to be their new king’s bastard brother, and she feared what would become of her and her station if they knew about her family.

Even as the Targareyn army marched south towards them, with the Gardener name extinct, and fear and grief rising, they tried to manage peace, and pray for their losses, and her father surrendered the keep without a fight. Four moons after she turned sixteen in the shadow of such loss, her father was elevated to Lord Paramount of the Mander and Warden of the South. The day that the Tyrells would have their titles and their keep had come. Suddenly Elinor Tyrell was the most eligible lady in the Reach. Her brothers had ladies lined up to marry them, as Theo, who once only hoped to inherit a stewardship, was set to be the Lord of Highgarden one day. Their rise did not come without adversaries, as Florent, Redwyne, and Oakheart denounced them, their claim to the seat being shaky. Even though they carried the blood of Garth Greenhand as well, it was through marriage many years after their own, stronger claims. It put them in a precarious position, with embittered families to mollify. And so as she began to adjust to the attention of her position, Elinor was told of her betrothal to the young Lord Redwyne. They had peace to maintain in the Reach, after all, and what better way was there than marriage?

After becoming clear that the Iron Islands were not capable of settling the power struggle themselves, King Aegon I Targaryen has turned his attention towards doing it for them now that his children have been born.
The King arrived in the Iron Islands upon the back of Balerion to Great Wyk, hoping that a show of force would not be necessary, but brought warfleets from Highgarden and Lannisport, the Redwyne fleet, and longships from Bear Island to accompany him. Once again, it showed that the kingdoms were now united as they turned their attention to bringing peace to the Iron Islands.
Tired of the fighting and chaos that had enveloped the Iron Islands for the last few years, many of the ironborn welcomed the King and the fleets. Lodos however, attempted to call for krakens to destroy the fleet and when that failed, he filled his robes with stones and walked into the sea to commune with the Drowned God and many of his followers went with him.
Qhorin Volmark stood against King Aegon in single combat and was slain by Blackfyre. Despite his refusal to bend the knee however, Qhorin's infant son was allowed to inherit the title of Lord of Volmark and keep it in the family. Seeing this, the rest of the claimants bent the knee to their King.
While many suspected that King Aegon would just appoint one of his supporters, he instead allowed them to hold a Kingsmoot in order to choose who they wanted to rule the Iron Islands in his name. In the end, Vickon Greyjoy was named the Lord of the Iron Islands and they officially released their claim on the Riverlands.
Now that things have begun to settle some in the Stormlands after their ex-Princess and new Lord Paramount were wed, Lord Orys and Lady Argella Baratheon will be setting out on a Lord's Progress during the Third Moon.
It is their plan to travel to all of the main Houses of the Stormlands in the hopes of showing a united front in order to bring the unrest about an outsider being at the helm to rest. It is a chance for all of the Lords to be able to spend a little bit of time with their Overlord and also gives Orys a chance to try and earn their trust while addressing any concerns or issues they might have in their lands.
It is also the plan to spend enough time in Cape Wrath and the Dornish Marches to try and figure out how the bring the attacks there to an end, while supporting the families most affected by the attacks.
Ravens were sent during the Second Moon in order to inform the Houses of the fact that they would be taking this Progress and when they could be potentially expected so that the families had plenty of time to prepare.
March has begun and we continue with our mini-events! For the entire month, the mini-event in the Iron Islands will continue to focus on the aftermath of a leader not being chosen and working towards finding one. In addition to that, there is a Lord's Progress happening in the Stormlands in order to address any concerns or issues the people might have..

The fifth child to Armen Peake and his wife, she grew up in a tight knit family with a father and mother who truly loved her. A blessing not everyone can claim. When Her father started focusing more on her brothers and lessons on how to be a lady started from her mother and Septa Alyce took to them quickly growing to love embroidery especially but also the rest. Certain social aspects however were slightly challenging to the girl. In this she was a foil to her oldest sister who she was perhaps the most close too. Alyce was never jealous of the boys receiving more lessons. She focused on trying to learn all she could of being a lady. She did however enjoy playing with her brothers sometimes with her sister.

A few years later though, you plans and your search for an appropriate husband were put on hold when the Dragon King from a tiny island off the coast of Westeros declared himself King. While you weren't given a lot of information on what was happening, you knew enough from your studies and from the hushed whispers that you were hearing that none of the Kingdoms were likely to take that declaration lying down. It was during the Fourth Moon that your distant cousin called for his banners and your father and older brothers march off for war. You hear whispers that King Loren Lannister had allied with King Mern Gardner, which only gives you hope that after they are victorious, perhaps he would be willing to wed one of his sons to a Lannister in order to keep the alliance going. Perhaps your dreams of being a princess some day were not dead yet... But as time ticked by and you heard of the horrors happening around Westeros as the Dragon King and his army seemingly conquered everyone in their path without much resistance, that hope was slowly fading and you found yourself instead worrying about the safety of your family when they finally faced their opponents... especially after hearing of the burning of Harrenhal. The moons continued to pass and shortly after your nameday, the battle between the Reach, the Westerlands, and the Conqueror took place and destruction was left in its wake. News of the carnage and the bending of the knee by your cousin reached you long before you heard about whether your father and brothers survived. Almost a week had passed before the raven arriving informing your family that Lewys would be returning with the bodies of your father and Kevan so that they could receive a proper burial after perishing in the flames at what was already being referred to as the Field of Fire. That was news that broke your mother, who was lost to her grief long after Lewys finally made it home and stepped into the role of Lord of Lannisport instead of simply its heir.

Lynora knows she is at the age where she should be betrothed in order to strengthen the bonds of her house but she hopes for a few more years before such must happen. In truth, she does not want a husband nor does she much desire children. She fears the bedding given she has already determined she is not overly fond of men, and as she has spent quite a bit of her life raising her sisters, she is not overly fond of the idea of having more children to raise. Lynora knows both of these will be expected of her though and really her best hope is to find a husband she can at least have a good friendship with. She prays that if she finds a good man that maybe the gods will be kind to her and allow her to forget any attractions she has toward women. Perhaps she just needs a good, kind man and once he is made her husband she will find pleasure in him and in intimate acts with him. Thoughts of marriage were put aside when the Targaryens came. The war was terrifying but somehow her father and brother found themselves marching off. When word came of their deaths and the Field of Fire Lynora could hardly keep her composure. She was terrified of the dragons, of the fire and the atrocities that happened there. When the remains were returned to the Westerlings though, Lynora experienced true grief. The smell was the worst of it. The mixing of the familiar char with the unfamiliar death. She could not comprehend how two bodies could be inside the banner but she did not look more into it. She hardly looked at it at all, unable to handle it. She may not have been terribly close with either her father or her brother but she loved them both dearly and losing them was beyond difficult for her entire family. She tried to keep herself together as best she could but she also allowed herself to feel her grief. She did not let her anger for the new rulers and their cruelty to show though.
