When mc infiltrates his room, he doesnt even blame MC. I felt like he was wanting/had a hope that MC wasn’t bad person. “Hunch”
I like how this is flipped in masquerade kiss. It’s usually mc who has to deal with all those ‘trust’ issues.

Masquerade kiss’s MC/comparison b/w Eisuke and Shido
Can I just go ahead and say I LOVE THIS MC? Like dam, she is sassy and isnt afraid to talk back, but at the same time she is kind and genuine like other MCs. I can’t wait till future releases! I feel like mc×guy gonna be badass couple in masquerade kiss! (I cant wait to see developments between two!) We finally have MC who can help scheme with main guys (than just being protected 100%). Don’t get me wrong. I wish this mc has some vulnerable sides too, but I like the fact that they are standing on ‘equal’ ground.
Shido was also surprisingly VERY genuine. Maybe bcs MC was genuine. But he was nowhere close to what I imagined. I can see the resemblance between him and Eisuke, but personality wise, they were VERY different. Few of different things were:
Unlike Eisuke, Shido LIKES crowded places. He doesn’t at all mind acting like 'commoner’ or doing what they do(that’s how he does business with resorts).
More approachable. Shido talks more than Eisuke, and I felt like he was more approachable in general.
He has an image of being a 'womanizer’ (but actually he isn’t that big of womanizer….). In fact, he acts nice to them for ulterior motives(to figure out what they are scheming). But hates to core that they are only for his money and power.
More expressive than Eisuke (in general)

Some things similar:
Filthy rich
sweet tooth
Both have tragic past (eisuke’s real father went bankrupt and ran away. Similar thing with Shido, except he was so poor that he had to live in the streets for years)
Actually lonely cinnamon roll who WANTS PPL TO NOTICE THAT THEY ARE LONELY
Only act nice to certain people who are suspicious, and once they figure out, they are both ruthless (eisuke will say “gtfo of my sight”. Shido will probably throw sarcastic comments and try to kill them or prison them LOOL)
Both had a lot of women (one night stand) before MC came to their life.
They both have “hunches” when it comes to villains.
I can definitely see him and Eisuke getting along.
#masquerade kiss#this mc is probably my last hope for voltage#voltage inc#kissed by the baddest bidder

And also: I saw that her profile that it says in private she’s scatterbrained and is what you would consider fangirlish and naive...BUT the fact that she can separate and distinguish these two sides of her personality is what I can admire and find impressive
Yet somehow, MC will default to scatter brain, I promise you. I really, really (Please for the love of otome, let me be wrong!) hope I’m wrong and MC will be able to finally be more competent. Like I’m begging you Voltage, don’t set up with the top and then during a mission give us the bottom.
It would be unbelievable. In that, such a highly skilled, seasoned and professional agent, would suddenly be unable to tie her own shoe laces.(I’m exaggerating of course) Or some other highly irritating ridiculously simple thing.
#AND ITS WHAT I WANT#love the double personality#btw this is an opinion of mine and not meant to offend anyone#voltage inc#masquerade kiss

Holy shiet so I’m not the only one that feels like this. Seriously I could go ON A RANT about how much some particular MCs annoy me. And because of that it keeps me from enjoying the game. I’m giving this game a chance(yes, even despite the love choice type that voltage enforced) because this MC might actually give me what I want for once, fingers crossed 🤞

Women In History
I grew up believing that women had contributed nothing to the world until the 1960′s. So once I became a feminist I started collecting information on women in history, and here’s my collection so far, in no particular order.
Lepa Svetozara Radić (1925–1943) was a partisan executed at the age of 17 for shooting at German soldiers during WW2. As her captors tied the noose around her neck, they offered her a way out of the gallows by revealing her comrades and leaders identities. She responded that she was not a traitor to her people and they would reveal themselves when they avenged her death. She was the youngest winner of the Order of the People’s Hero of Yugoslavia, awarded in 1951

23 year old Phyllis Latour Doyle was British spy who parachuted into occupied Normandy in 1944 on a reconnaissance mission in preparation for D-day. She relayed 135 secret messages before France was finally liberated.

Catherine Leroy, War Photographer starting with the Vietnam war. She was taken a prisoner of war. When released she continued to be a war photographer until her death in 2006.

Lieutenant Pavlichenko was a Ukrainian sniper in WWII, with a total of 309 kills, including 36 enemy snipers. After being wounded, she toured the US to promote friendship between the two countries, and was called ‘fat’ by one of her interviewers, which she found rather amusing.

Johanna Hannie “Jannetje” Schaft was born in Haarlem. She studied in Amsterdam had many Jewish friends. During WWII she aided many people who were hiding from the Germans and began working in resistance movements. She helped to assassinate two nazis. She was later captured and executed. Her last words were “I shoot better than you.”.

Nancy wake was a resistance spy in WWII, and was so hated by the Germans that at one point she was their most wanted person with a price of 5 million francs on her head. During one of her missions, while parachuting into occupied France, her parachute became tangled in a tree. A french agent commented that he wished that all trees would bear such beautiful fruit, to which she replied “Don’t give me any of that French shit!”, and later that evening she killed a German sentry with her bare hands.
After her husband was killed in WWII, Violette Szabo began working for the resistance. In her work, she helped to sabotage a railroad and passed along secret information. She was captured and executed at a concentration camp at age 23.

Grace Hopper was a computer scientist who invented the first ever compiler. Her invention makes every single computer program you use possible.

Mona Louise Parsons was a member of an informal resistance group in the Netherlands during WWII. After her resistance network was infiltrated, she was captured and was the first Canadian woman to be imprisoned by the Nazis. She was originally sentenced to death by firing squad, but the sentence was lowered to hard lard labor in a prison camp. She escaped.

Simone Segouin was a Parisian rebel who killed an unknown number of Germans and captured 25 with the aid of her submachine gun. She was present at the liberation of Paris and was later awarded the ‘croix de guerre’.
Mary Edwards Walker is the only woman to have ever won an American Medal of Honor. She earned it for her work as a surgeon during the Civil War. It was revoked in 1917, but she wore it until hear death two years later. It was restored posthumously.

Italian neuroscientist won a Nobel Prize for her discovery of nerve growth factor. She died aged 103.
EDIT
jinxedinks added: Her name was Rita Levi-Montalcini. She was jewish, and so from 1938 until the end of the fascist regime in Italy she was forbidden from working at university. She set up a makeshift lab in her bedroom and continued with her research throughout the war.

A snapshot of the women of color in the woman’s army corps on Staten Island
This is an ongoing project of mine, and I’ll update this as much as I can (It’s not all WWII stuff, I’ve got separate folders for separate achievements).

Here’s the thing about the air nomads.
I introduced a friend to ATLA a few nights ago, and they had only known two things about the entire show: the cabbage meme, and that Aang apparently wants to ride every large and dangerous animal he can possibly find. We got through the first five or so episodes, and my friend noted that Aang is exactly what a 12-year-old would be like if given godlike powers, and that this is literally just what he could do with airbending. He can’t even wield any of the other elements, and he’s one of the most powerful people on the planet, because he’s an airbender.
And that got me thinking.
This snippet from Bitter Work is one of the few pieces of concrete information we get about the airbenders, at least in ATLA. Iroh is explaining to Zuko how all four of the elements connect to the world and to each other.
Fire is the element of power, of desire and will, of ambition and the ability to see it through. Power is crucial to the world; without it, there’s no drive, no momentum, no push. But fire can easily grow out of control and become dangerous; it can become unpredictable, unless it is nurtured and watched and structured.
Earth is the element of substance, persistence, and enduring. Earth is strong, consistent, and blunt. It can construct things with a sense of permanence; a house, a town, a walled city. But earth is also stubborn; it’s liable to get stuck, dig in, and stay put even when it’s best to move on.
Water is the element of change, of adaptation, of movement. Water is incredibly powerful both as a liquid and a solid; it will flow and redirect. But it also will change, even when you don’t want it to; ice will melt, liquid will evaporate. A life dedicated to change necessarily involves constant movement, never putting down roots, never letting yourself become too comfortable.
We see only a few flashbacks to Aang’s life in the temples, and we get a sense of who he was and what kind of upbringing he had.
This is a preteen with the power to fucking fly. He’s got no fear of falling, and a much reduced fear of death. There’s a reason why the sages avoid telling the new avatar their status until they turn sixteen; could you imagine a firebender, at twelve years old, learning that they were going to be the most powerful person in the whole world? Depending on that child, that could go so badly.
But the thing about Aang, and the thing about the Air Nomads, is that they were part of the world too. They contributed to the balance, and then they were all but wiped out by Sozin. What was lost, there? Was it freedom? Yes, but I think there’s something else too, and it’s just yet another piece of the utter brilliance of the worldbuilding of ATLA.
To recap: we have power to push us forward; we have stability to keep us strong; we have change to keep us moving.
And then we have this guy.
The air nomads brought fun to the world. They brought a very literal sense of lightheartedness.
Sozin saw this as a weakness. I think a lot of the world did, in ATLA. Why do the Air Nomads bother, right? They’re just up there in their temples, playing games, baking pies in order to throw them as a gag. As Iroh said above, they had pretty great senses of humour, and they didn’t take themselves too seriously.
But that’s a huge part of having a world of balance and peace.
It’s not just about power, or might, or the ability to adapt. You can have all of those, but you also need fun. You need the ability to be vulnerable, to have no ambitions beyond just having a good day. You need to be able to embrace silliness, to nurture play, to have that space where a very specific kind of emotional growth can occur. Fun makes a hard life a little easier. Fun makes your own mortality a little less frightening to grasp. Fun is the spaces in between, that can’t be measured by money or military might. Fun is what nurtures imagination, allows you to see a situation in a whole new light, to find new solutions to problems previously considered impossible.
Fun is what makes a stranger into a friend, rather than an enemy.
Fun helps you see past your differences.
Fun is what fuels curiosity and openmindedness.
Fun is the first thing to die in a war.

I asked my boyfriend in Canada once, how he deals with polar bears because I was curious about what to do and he was like, just be calm, let them know you’re there, and give them space and they’ll usually just go away.
