Twilight is canon. Midnight Sun is canon. New Moon is canon. Approximately 22 pages of Eclipse are canon. The idea of Breaking Dawn was a collective fever dream wherein we all hallucinated the dumbest possible addition to the Twilight trilogy. Hope that helps xo

what even is your plan with your Roxy spin-off? feels like you go off of nothing and jump around ideas

Oh, I do jump around ideas with this one A LOT -even more than I actually post about. My ideas for Winx: Terrestrial Magic -working title- are still in baby shoes and will probably keep changing.

Essentially I take good ideas from season 4 onwards, World of Winx, as well as a bit of the comics and see how I could use them the best.

When I look at what was my first plan for book 2 - it is more and more becomming book 1. The base idea for it is from the Fairies of Vengeance in season 4, but also Tinkerbell in WoW. BUT all that's left of the terrestrial fairies is Morgana, so she's now hiding in the Sibilini Mountains (what was Sybilla's Cave), to keep Klaus and Roxy save from herself. See, she's ... spoiler ...

It will really only focus on Roxy, her introduction to magic and her relationship with Morgana.

With book 2 I look at the interesting ideas of season 6 - Selina, Acheron, the Legendarium... However, I won't use Mythix!

Sometime during that book, about halfway through the story, Roxy will help Selina and they will also find Macy has magic. Maybe by the end of it all three girls will have their Charmix.

For book 3 the girls wil finally fully work together, against the Wizards of the Black Circle, which has me circeling back around to season 4. Tho the Sorcerers will have completely different powers -not Ogron, the others tho- and Gregory, from the comics, will also play a part in it all -tho, his name will be Grey. Originally I had planned to use Damien from the leaked reboot designs, but I wanna keep my hands off the reboot.

Of course book 3 means the girls will become Enchantix fairies, but I'm unsure how they will (re-)introduce magic to the humans, if at all. Like, Tír na nÓg is a whole island hidden by magic and I'm soooooo unsure about how to tackle this... Even canon dropped it after the beginning of season 5.

And there is still the possibility that I'll decide the girls will have to gain Believix instead, since normal magic doesn't work against the Black Circle. So, just... please bare with me while I figure this out.

I'm very much a writer who loves planning everything out first - I've been working on-and-off on a Twilight rewrite for the past 8-10 years and now that I'm finally happy with every part of it, all that's left is writing it. HWEVER, there are my Winx ideas floating around my head, of which most are still a work in progress, and yet I post about them already.

The Terrestrial Magic spin-off specifically will be me striving away the furthest from a canon yet and it is -like Winx Club's later seasons and WoW- only bare bones so far, but it WILL become something! Tho probably with shorter books than the rewrites of the first three seasons.

This is a me-problem, but I'm very excited about my Winx: Rewrite Universe project and I love sharing it on here. If I wouldn't have started doing that I would never have met some amazing firends, who are a part of the fandom <3

Zenith

Zenith has a mage-made Magical Core -

After the exploration of Magix' Moon lead to a station and portals being put on it, a group of powerful Mages were sent there to experiment. It took them years, but they eventually bonded their magic together and were able to stabilize it into a new core, looking like a plasma ball without the inner electrode and the outer glass. Trough that a new Pixie was born and, as it is common, they chose their own name to be Zenith.

Through the years five platforms, bigger than the Moon's space station, with artificial gravity and domes, simulating atmosphere, were built and a few years later, the first groups of people decided to live on the moon. Since then, about 1000 years have gone by and the city has become independent from Magix.

Zenith it the most technical advanced place in the Magical Dimension and is kept cooler than most of the planet's Realms, to keep the technologies running.

As the Moon is tidally locked to its planet one day-night cycle is as long as a month on Magix (21 days). Because of that Zenithians have evolved to not really need sleep, although they have to rest regularly. They have grey skin, just like their city's Pixie and low body heat, with a cold aura.

Zenith's Core has magic of innovations, but only a few babies every generation are born with a specific magical power and even fewer decide to practice magic and become Mages. Zenith is the only Realm without a Nymph, as no Mage has yet succeeded to connect more deeply with the Magical Core.

Besides Arcadia, Zenith is also the only other Realm to not have a royal family and the system of voting for representatives, which has been introduced to the other Realms, came from there.

I imagine Zenith looking like Night City from Cyber Punk - all lights and advertisements lighting up the always dark "skies", inside of huge domes, which are kind of like Zaofu in Legend of Korra, but made of glass.

did some more color-testing, this time for my redesign of Selina - she has an undercut now!

her canon colors for comparison - they were so strong for giving her that puke green hair

make it blond

make it brown; both of these felt wrong, but could have been her natural hair color

was the palette of my first redesign, where @parola-di-winx and I shared the idea of giving her a reverse Billie Eilish moment

I was combining the blonde with the Billie moment and figured she bleaches her black hair to death, because she wants it white. She also has a darker skin tone now, for more contrast in her palette and because I decided that she's southern Italian after parola-di-winx helped me find a last name, which has to do with snakes - Ceravalo. She might not be the Witch or Fairy of Snakes anymore, but I wanted a nod to that ^^

Saason 4 really put Bloom front and center at all costs. But besides that it characterizes Musa and Stella horribly, to the point that Musa isn't even herself (maybe she was replaced by her twin?).

I will stand my point saying season 4 was the start of Winx' downfall.

Bloom rant no XYZ

ARGHHHHHH. For the whole first half of the season (4) it was Musa who sang in the Frutti Music Bar. The Winx even said that Musa has an angelic magical voice. She got even asked by Jason to become a (solo) Star. And now? Musa asks her friends if they wanted to form a band. What's the first thing Bloom says? "yUo hAvE tO gIvE mE sIngInG leSsoNs thEn" NO, SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO. You could simply learn an instrument and let Musa, the fairy of fucking music, the girl with the angelic voice, fucking SING like she did for the past episodes. This makes me so fucking angry 😡💢. Whoever says Bloom's main character syndrome was a thing of the later seasons, nope. It certainly wasn't. She simply suppressed Musa. I hate that bitch.

I'll post this in the anti bloom tag. So that her fans don't see it (how can you even be a fan of bloom?). So if it shows in the main tag. Sorry this is not meant to be seen by you. Do me the favour and don't defend her in this post. I'd delete it anyway.

did some testing out of color pallets to tweak my Roxy redesign-

is just with her canon coloring

for that one i used her concept art colors

is Klaus' palette, but with Morgana's hair color for the long hair of her jellyfish cut

has Morgana's colors with Klaus' hair color on the long part

was my first redesign, because I still kind of like it

is literally just color-picked from @teawinx's Roxy redesign, since that chaos gremlin is so close to my heart and I love her green hair

in the end however, I decided to mostly go for Klaus' color palette, but with Morgana's eye color. Roxy is not really allowed to dye her hair, since her friend (Selina) fried off her hair when bleaching it. But Klaus was fine with compromising and allowed her to dye the bottom half of her hair darker. Roxy chose a reddish black, which reminds Klaus even more of Morgana - I will elaborate more on a later point and on my rewrite dedicated sideblog
