Don’t worry, we’re not going for doom- we’re just trying to strive for reasonability.

Put it this way- if you’re getting ready for a hunger games style revolution where we completely overthrow the government, one way or another, maybe ground yourself a bit. But if you’re stockpiling cyanide pills because you think the trains are coming next tuesday, maybe calm down. Don’t be terminally online radicalized, and don’t panic.

What I do advise that you do, right now, is donate to causes you care about- like PBS and public libraries and suicide hotlines- and get ready to be a bit more self-sufficient. Maybe in the long-run, if you can, make plans to get out of the country. Do be ready for them to be in office the next 1,349 days, but do not make even one of those days easy for them.

It’s just now hitting me how many of us don’t remember their last term. I’ve been going through this under the assumption that we all know we’re going to have to bear through the next 1,349 days, and that there is no protesting, impeaching or assassinating our way to a shortcut.
