E/uciens bragging that Elain looks sooo much happier in their fanart while criticizing Elriel fanart is absolutely hilarious.

Do they not realize the majority of their fanart does not represent canon?

Canon shows Elain and Lucien being awkward and uncomfortable around each other. Canon shows Elain shrinking away from Lucien and losing her boldness.

Canon does not show Elain smiling or laughing because of Lucien, but it does show her smiling and laughing with Azriel.

It shows her spending time outside in the sun with him. Giving him thoughtful gifts and wanting to wear his gift to her right away. Talking to him about her passion. Calling his scars beautiful. Accepting a magical blade from him so she can defend herself. Offering physical touch to him.

Fanart is fun and beautiful and a great way to interact in the fandom, but it will never hold more weight than the words written in the books.

Okay…kind of ironic now that the Vassian ship is growing we are starting to see Elu/iens say “Elriels romanticize Vassa’s curse by shipping them because of the line Feyre says “A Bird of Flame and a Lord of Fire”…

I hate to break it to you but shipping Elain and Lucien is no different. Elain was turned against her will. She associated Lucien with the most traumatic event of her life. Elain specifically says she doesn’t want a mate and you all keep wanting her to be with someone SHE FEELS is responsible for her trauma… so maybe sit this one out…because the call is coming from inside the house with this one 🤔

I wonder how Rhys and Elain’s friendship will be! I love how he didn’t underestimate her in the Feysand BC. He sees the potential in her. I hope to see Elain and Azriel on important Night Court business together and it’s Feyre who gives the order. Of course this makes Rhys apprehensive but reluctantly agrees. 🤭

Still seeing antis acting as if Elain is unimportant. That she would be last to receive a book, I’m sorry to kill your hopes and dreams, but baby girl isn’t going anywhere.

She’s the third sister. The Seer. Cauldron Made.

SJM is not going to waste her time to write about a priestess who doesn’t have any connection to a bigger plot. I don’t hate Gwyn but she had growth in Nesta’s book already. Could she have more? Possibly but the next book isn’t it.

It is crystal clear to the majority of us who can possibly see the obvious way SJM is telling her series, it’ll be Elain and Azriel.

You don’t have to like it, just accept it.

"Azriel still cradling Elain to his chest. He dripped blood behind him the entire time-a trickle compared to the torrent that should be leaking out. Contained only by the patches of power he'd slapped on it. Help-he needed a healer immediately. .. Nesta let out a sob at the sight of Elain, still in Ariel's arms. ..Rhys lunged for Azriel, taking Elain from him and gently setting my sister down. Azriel rasped, swaying on his feet, "We need Helion to get these chains off her." Yet Elain didn't seem to notice them as she rose up on her toes and kissed the shadowsinger's cheek."

There is so much to love about this scene: Azriel cradling Elain to himself, Elain making no move to leave his arms, Ariel's only concern being Elain despite his own wounds, the two of them having to be physically separated by Rhys, and then Elain giving Azriel the one and only kiss he has received in the series. This whole scene had such romantic undertones and further cemented the relationship that has been developing between Elain and Azriel.

So do antis really believe that the bond snapped for Gwyn and Azriel in the BC? Didn’t this man ignore her handshake in acosf chap 60? This was way after the BC and there was no spark in his chest there.

How can antis hate this?

Offer and permission. Light and dark. We’ve seen these two in different eyes within the IC. Azriel and Elain are connected. There’s more to them than just “lust.” Why do they deny them?

But want this? Elain is not herself with Lucien. Artists can draw them happy and loving each other but it’s not like that in canon. Elain is unhappy. Lucien is unhappy. We can see this is how Elain truly feels.

Elain has absolutely no connection to the spring court or tamlin. The ONLY person in the spring court right now is Tamlin. Lucien goes there to visit Tamlin if anything this book will feature Tamlin working w Lucien , Vassa & jurian. If SJM is hinting at a spring court book it’s about Tamlin. Interesting…I saw an anti post claiming that it’s not what the man wants but what the woman wants.

Now this may have been an anti Vassien post but they mention how we know nothing of Vassa’s sexual orientation and if she’s even interested in Lucien.

We do KNOW that Elain is not very interested in Lucien but in a certain shadowsinger.

Funny enough, wouldn’t that fit the bill for Gwyn? Antis assuming she is interested in Azriel…she’s made no mention of longing for love.

It sends a message when casual readers finish the books and the bonus chapters and still don’t understand the gwynriel ship… yet most of them see moments of chemistry and something something between Elriel.

There was no need for witty banter. No teasing. It was comfort and warmth.

It was a true friendship before there was more. There was acceptance and kindness.

There’s no light without darkness.

Azriel’s “glow” happened in the middle of acosf…then why is he still a little grumpy bat in hofas with Nesta and Bryce. You’d think he’d be “glowing” some more in some way if he indeed found his mate.

Azriel doesn’t need a mate. He wanted a friend and what do you know..he found that with Elain. Getting to know each other and not from obligation but because THEY wanted to. Their friendship grew into something more. You can’t call it lust. You don’t spend hours and hours with someone just to jump their bones.

The fact that there’s people who call him entitled and disgusting are the ones throwing him to the priestess who can’t leave the library. Yikes.

Sjm gives us this… FREE WILL AND TRUE LOVE.

Then antis are going to argue that it’s going to be about Helion and LoA..? Look that would be interesting to read but again but we are seeing this with Elain right now. She doesn’t want the person she’s mated to. Her body language near him is so telling and they still say it’ll be an enemies to lovers..? That was basically Cassian and Nesta. There was the tension and sexual tension with them. Lucien and Elain have no chemistry. Regardless if she “belongs” to him which she doesn’t. Unless she CHOOSES it. Why is it so hard to accept them Elain and Azriel? Do they despise Elain that much? Would there have been a different response if Elain and Azriel had been the second couple and Nessian the third?

It would make no sense. None to have an Azriel book with Gwyn. I can’t stress enough how there would be no exciting plot to that. Gwyn is not as important as Elain Archeron.
