SVA Interior Design Thesis: THE GARAGE by Danielle Kachler from Jennifer Joelle Kachler on Vimeo.

For my thesis presentation I am creating a custom 10’x9’ cardboard box wall that will display my final design titled ‘THE GARAGE.’ My project, titled 'THE GARAGE,' is a multi-disciplinary facility that provides both space and equipment, such as wood, metal, and digital fabrication, for New York City residents whom desire an affordable space to start and finish any project. All SVAID thesis students are required to create their own design that will provide a solution to a socio-economical need within the restraints of selecting an already existing building.

Set in February of 1960, "Horizon" is a film dealing with the struggle of losing a loved one. Charlotte, a widowed woman, raises her two children while being haunted by her past. The reality and fantasy of Charlotte's emotions clash, forcing herself to reevaluate the importance of being a mother.
