| Hey guys!
I’ve officially decided to put this blog on a indefinite hiatus. I might come back at some point, I don’t know, but for now, I won’t be around.
In the mean time, you might be able to find me on my Nael blog @corvusfortis, since I’ve been attempting to get it ready to go for roleplaying again. |

What were the social repercussions of Edmont's affair? Did the other High Houses try to take advantage? And did they try to slander him in more serious ways because of that, with phrases like 'How can he remain faithful to Ishgard when he can't even remain faithful to his wife?'
I’m sure the very second the rumors began to get around that he was having an affair, his good reputation faltered. I imagine he was the one everyone knew as the count with the cleanest record, but naturally that didn’t last after that.
I do imagine he dealt with and may still deal with some amount of slander like that, more now since the 3.1 story, and while the recent slander is for a different reason, I’m sure those who remember still bring it up along with that. It’s unfortunately something he doubts he’ll ever escape, but despite his loyalty to anything coming into question more times than can be counted over the years, he doesn’t regret it all.
#headcanons#i don't know how long this has been in my inbox#if it's been a bit then sorry this took so long to get to!#Anonymous

Some commentary from the Heavensward Artbook
This isn’t all of the commentary from the book, but a few things of note.
Alphinaud’s new outfit had to be adjusted as to not emphasize his crotch so much (lol).
Aymeric has the look of an “ill-fated but earnest prince”. The artist thinks the lack of arm armor makes him look confident. Ill-fated doesn’t give me hope about his lifespan though. (╯︵╰,)
Y'shtola’s new outfit is more modern-looking cause Sharlayan has their “own sphere of culture”.
YoshiP communicated with the artist on the image in this magazine cover
so that the positioning reflects each characters status, their relationship with the player, and hints about their future.
Haurche’s dad was modeled on Basch from FF12.
The Vanu were made from a suggestion from the developers to make a fat Ixali.
The gnath were modeled after the Urutan-Yensa from FF12, but insectoid and Samurai-like.
The AST esoteric gear was designed with female characters in mind (I think we knew that, lol).
The DRG eso armor is supposed to look/feel more organic, as the artist thought the AF was too designed. The DRG eso weapon is based on something Amano drew.
MNK eso was inspired by Yang from FF4.
WHM eso based on FF3 WHM job look.
The most outlandish of the artists sketches was chosen for the SCH eso.
WHM/BRD eso weapons started as alternate designs for the 2.0 WHM/BRD relics.
The brief for King Thordan’s design called for a sinister shape that embodied a lust for power. The artwork of King Thordan + the Knights of the Round was also colored to look like blood.
The Paissa design called for eyes that never seemed to focus on anything.
Moghome originally was going to have a design suited for the tastes of Good King Mog.
Neverreap is intended to look like a traditional Shinto shrine since it’s supposed to be a place where the Vanu talk with the gods.
They made Phoenix’s flames burn blue to contrast with Bahamut’s red megaflare.
The Valerian armor is from the Ogre Battle series.
They would like to make a second wedding dress someday. The artist notes he went with something traditional for the one we have right now, so I guess a future wedding gown would be less traditional.
The Demon Robe of Healing was intended to borrow from Amano’s earlier art for FF with a mix of Celtic elements.
The artist struggled with finding a balance between Yugiri’s eyebrows and her eyes.
There’s also art labeled “first son” and “second son” accompanying Edmont, and neither of which resemble Artoirel or Emmanellain. (The designs actually remind me of the Tales series - the older one looks with Asch from Abyss, and the younger one looks like Yuri from Vesperia.)

Suspicious person spotted in Eastern Thanalan. Possibly the agent codenamed “The Count.” More than likely under disguise. Needs confirmation before adding pictures to the files.
#cyberpunk AU#I might have actually made the character to get screens oops#I'll have to take clearer ones at some point!#though I need to actually DO something with this AU aside from just making headcanons#maybe I should make a starter or something :lc

Edmont’s back problems are nonexistent thanks to a series of bionic implants, some replacing discs and others just attached to his spine to provide support. He still carries around the cane sometimes, though, just because. These implants would also be considered illegal by the Garlean Empire because of their strengthening effect. Parts of them can be seen along his spine on his back.
He is indeed a leader of the recon agents of Ishgard, but not THE leader. He also works on the field just like anyone else, but is so skilled at what he does that the Empire only barely knows he even exists, much less his real name or what he looks like, neither under disguise or otherwise. He is a veteran and is considered one of Ishgard’s most valuable agents as of this time.
It’s quite rare to see him in his real form these days for various reasons, to the point where you have to be family or a very close friend to even have a chance. He appears as a black haired, blue eyed Xaela woman to most thanks to transformation potions, similar to Haurchefant. He literally downs these things like candy to ensure no one sees the real him that isn’t supposed to. This has gotten much worse since he found out the Empire finally knows of his existance.
He is literally so thorough with this that there are many people he works with who have no idea what he actually looks like.

HC + Forgiveness
Edmont is a forgive but don’t forget kind of person. If you do him wrong, he may find it in himself to forgive you, but he won’t EVER forget what you’ve done. It’s actually pretty hard to do something that he won’t forgive you for, but someone has managed to do it.

What was the Count doing at the exact time of Haurchefant's birth?
| I can’t imagine Edmont knew it was happening right then and there, just that she was due at any time, so I can’t imagine he was doing anything worth noting, but I could see him having been restless? I doubt he could have been there even though he really wished he could be, so he’d just be wishing that everything would be alright when the time came. |
