Ok, so in the original Bram Stoker novel, sunlight is not lethal to Dracula. He just loses most of his powers. I'm bringing this up cuz I want a horror comedy where the hero, sensing dawn, tears off the curtains as a last-ditch effort only to have the vampire go "Aw shit, there goes most of my fancy powers. Guess I'll have to beat your ass the old-fashioned way" then proceeds to just deck the hero cuz a vampire at half-strength is still a fucking vampire.

Self-reblog from a project-specific blog!

First actual post to this blog! Hello! As the bio of this blog says, it's just currently being used as a placeholder! If you're interested in reading my rambling about what exactly it's placehold-ing for, you can check out the rest of the post below!
If you ever followed me back in 2018-2022ish on Instagram, you probably saw me posting a lot about a few characters of mine and the world/story they lived in. These posts were all bits and pieces of an idea a had for a comic that never happened at that time. After a while, Patch and the others rarely made an appearance outside of my holiday drawings I did occasionally.
Well, fast-forward to last August when I started my last semester of college. One of my classes was on German-language comics, and our final project would be creating a comic of our own! Re-visiting this idea instantly came to mind for my final, though I was nervous and took some encouragement from friends who already knew about this idea. Every time I had to talk to my professor about my project I felt embarrassed- this idea felt so stupid, and at the same time I had held onto it and these characters for so long that I had become insanely attached to them. You know how people talk about their characters being their children? Yeah (especially Patch).
All in all the final project was turned in (including one night of staying in the university library until it closed at 2AM, then going home to work on it some more), but was still ultimately unfinished. I had never tried to do this type of thing before, and went about it horribly. I still passed, but was stupid embarrassed about it. I never went and got the pages back from the professor so I wouldn't have to face him again. This whole thing kinda turned me off of the idea as a whole for a while. But! I think I'm ready to try and figure it out. Now that I'm out of school and working full-time, I gotta find something to work towards. Anyhow, I'll probably post small things about the characters themselves to start with. I'm not sure when pages of the comic itself will start to make an appearance...
If you read all that mess, here's a rough, colored line-up of the main four as a treat! (Left to right: Patch, Danika, Sabbath and Gabriel)
