ahaha um mini life update? so i've already noted multiple times i've been feeling awful and dealing with suicidal thoughts (it's gotten annoying tbh) but i'm also at risk of being kicked out by my uncle, so unfortunately it's been kinda struggle city for me. i don't want anyone to worry but i really don't think i can stomach working on any of my milgram projects without seriously wanting to die. i'm probably being overly dramatic and i'll come back soon enough hopefully but for right now i'm probably leaving for a good while again

haha i thought to myself "oh i should clarify i've been depressed on my milgram account so that's why i've been gone for so long!" but surprise surprise i've already done it. that's... funny isn't really the right word here. what a joke.

sometimes i'll listen to an milgram song, get an itch to come back and work on my current posts, but the feeling fizzles out when i think about logging on. there's times where interactions on here have left me feeling completely stupid and unwelcomed, and it just makes me anxious thinking it'll start up again.

but things have gotten better for myself mentally atleast compared to a few months back. day-to-day life isn't as hard and i've managed to write more often so that's good. i might not do anything for awhile but i would like to catch up what i've been missing atleast

I wanna quickly point out something about Kotoko and Jacques Roulet.

Something important to understand is that the case of Jacques Roulet actually happened during the Werewolf trials in the 15th-17th century.

If you don’t know what werewolf trials were, they’re linked to witch trials where mainly women were convicted and killed for practicing witchcraft. The werewolf trials however, were mostly men being convicted and killed for being werewolves that ate children. Jacques Roulet’s case specifically happened during the werewolf witch trials, which was a combination of the two.

The reason I bring this up is because this paints another parallel between Kotoko and Fuuta because of his connection to the Salem witch trials. Since his victim (kilcheroy) seems to take on the appearance of a witch, he quite literally sent a witch hunt after her and burned her at the stake. (Fuuta’s fire symbolism)

Witch’s were accused of witchcraft and devil worship but most of them were actually innocent, like how Fuuta’s victim was accused of wrong doing but in actuality didn’t do any thing wrong.

In contrast, Jacques Roulet actually did kill and hurt children, similar to Kotoko’s victim.

Kotoko’s victim was also male, which further adds to the link to werewolf trials of mostly men. Fuuta’s victim was female, and the witch trials were mostly women.

Their pursuits for Justice were witch/werewolf hunts.

And like people have pointed out, they became what they sought to destroy. Fuuta became the witch burned at the stake. Kotoko became the beast that mauled people.

(You could also argue that it kinda ties to both their relationship to gender and masculinity. But I’m not the most well versed in that topic)

oh! i'm not quite sure if you're asking for a life update or if i've done smth concerning but overall i'm fine ( just been a little quiet since i'm doing twelve things on different blogs atm but i'm rushing back rn for the ktk interrogation )

ALSO KYAAAAA I HAVEN'T TALKED ABOUT DECO*27 IN FOREVER BUT ROOKIE OH MY GOD . . .??

tbh i haven't been super impressed with nina's recent catalogue — though i'm not one to seriously dunk on him for "all his songs sounding the same" when i genuinely don't care. i just feel songs like volt tackle and blue planet commit the fatal sins of being really boring, and hell i've only recently come around to rabbit hole ( if only because the "love bluh bluh bluh" part is extremely addicting )

BUT ROOKIE AKAIWUEHWJWB the opening with the bass immediately hooked me in. it's been a while since we've had these kinda edgy, high-energy songs from nina and i'm aaaaaall for it. and aaa the song slowly becoming softer to represent her change in behavior is sooo smart !!

ALSO ALSO ALSO the middle bit where miku suddenly switches to english is TOTALLY A HIBANA REFERENCE and it worked like a charm on me. i've been kinda rolling my eyes at the self-referential nature of the recent songs but i loved this one. it shows off nina's growth extremely given the length and complexities of the lyrics, and i'm so happy for him man.

now i'm just hyped for if we'll get a rachie / will stetson cover . . .
