This is just canon. c!Techno is a pigman/piglin and minecraft mobs don't have sex differences so their gender can't be based on that. He's got a deep voice and he's big so people use he/him. He wears whatever's practical. Sometimes a comfy skirt is practical, sometimes it's full netherite.

What's gender, never heard of it.

Also his best friend (the old one) wears robes and longs to be a beautiful anime boy. Bird-gender.

Imagine if the first person you met who really really cared about gender was Thomas IsItNot. You'd probably just shrug and throw the whole concept in the trash, too.

i stand firm on the idea that c!techno is agender because he simply feels gender doesn't apply to him. he doesn't have time for that. most people are gonna use he/him but he doesn't care. he can be called whatever. he's got old skirts and dresses he wears because sometimes on a cold day, he likes to prop his legs up in front of the fire, y'know. get nice and toasty.

I suspect that the ratio of hits to techno vs dream is a partly Q actually having the opportunity beat Techno up for the first time. That's a long standing grudge, and in many ways it's more personal than his issue with Dream which is mostly book related. He's also had a Dream shaped chew toy for months, he's not as interesting.

Techno is also much more annoying than Dream, he's actively resisting and running around, and using distraction methods. I think also Techno trying to punch him into the lava probably scared the shit out of Big Q and being scared (but not scared off) can make a bully meaner.

A lot of this may have been deliberate, to protect Dream. It doesn't seem like he takes Dream's torture very seriously, but everything's joke with Techno until it isn't. Plus Dream's the one who can bring people back to life when it comes down to it.

In conclusion, if Sam were smart, he would have given Dream the steak and plenty of it, so that they could beat Dream up longer without him dying. Very short sighted, Sam.

Right so in light of my last [post] I thought it’d be fun to look even further at the total physical abuse that happened in the prison. So naturally as the engineer I am I put together a table and charts :)

Some interesting details here are that Tommy hit Dream 40 times before Dream hit him, and only 8 of Tommy’s punches came after he died. Also, Tommy actually asked Dream to pinch him and Dream’s punch to Techno was probably more a shove than meant to hurt him, but I still counted them anyways.

As you can see, something I talked about recently [post] is that we actually witness Dream hit Quackity quite a bit, in fact almost as many times as Quackity hits him and I just find that interesting. Most notably though, Tommy hit Dream more than his actual torturer did on stream lol, and despite dying in the prison, Tommy actually gets hurt less than Techno in that one torture visit alone… Though to be fair that is hits seem on stream, which isn’t very representative for Dream since only 4% of his torture is shown. But let’s assume Quackity visited Dream for 82 days before Techno (March 17th to June 8th) and to be the conservative side let’s say that Dream is hit 4 times per a visit (like he is in the visit with Techno), than it would look more like this:

Though, this is still pretty flawed. I mean given that Quackity hit Techno 53 times it does make 4 look rather unrealistic, which makes me wonder what the actual average amount Quackity hit Dream in each visit is. I assume it depends on the weapon of course. Additionally, we talked about before [post] that had Sam not killed Dream in one punch after finding him in the hole, there likely would have been more punches thrown. Plus, who knows how much Tommy and Dream fought in the time we don’t see. So it isn’t a very accurate depiction of Dream’s total abuse in prison. Still it is interesting…

who is this propaganda for because it's sure as heck NOT c!techno?

there's nothing about separation from family in his story, there's only the brief mention of his parents being killed by orphans. there's definitely nothing about generational trauma. trauma, yes, but again, his family isn't even present in the canon of the dsmp!

unless they're like. giving him a much bigger role in c!phil and c!wilbur's storyline than he actually had??

and political ideology didn't tear anyone apart in c!techno's story. him and c!phil didn't fully see eye to eye but c!phil also still sided with techno in the end because he saw how harmful the government was.

if anything, from techno's end, his ideology brought him together with people! he gained a friend in c!ranboo and c!niki.

this is really funny to me because like. the idea of c!techno getting stuck in the syndicate meeting room and needing help.

because it's a good way to show he's really not what a lot of people see him as: 'the blade' or unbeatable or whatever. he's just a person who doesn't always get things right, especially the little things, y'know? he knows how to speak the language of violence because that's what gets people to listen but somethings don't come naturally to him.
