Something I'm Working On:

Because I've noticed a lot of sites are either heavy in text or heavy in one aspect and not another I felt like I should try and make a sort of bucket of ALL the information I can find on one site! So, that's what I'm working on!

I plan on it having information on prayer, aspects, offerings, crystals, art, history and differing legends, all kinds of stuff!

I want to express I'm not an expert and sources will be linked if it's not something I've found out myself from meditation and it'll certainly be disclosed if I've used the offerings and crystals I mention and all sorts of information.

The focus will be on the Netjeru I work with so Set, Wepwawet, Anubis, and Anput.

It's going to be a while till I release it but once it's done I think it'll be a good source for everyone who finds it to see more sources and to kinda get a condensed version of everything.

hello, tumblr!

good to meet you all. my name’s aria, and i just joined here a couple hours ago.

if the name didn’t give it away, i’m a kemetic or worshipper of the ancient egyptian gods. my main deities are Horus (Heru-Sa-Aset or HSA specifically) and Set, but i may include more in my practice as time goes on. i’m still relatively new to kemeticism and paganism in general (i only started to pursue the path this past august), not to mention that this is my first ever blog. needless to say, this’ll be a learning experience.

anyway, i’m here to find other kemetics and just help build a larger community. i’ll try to update this blog with my experiences in kemeticism and prayers and observations i might come across, but keep in mind i’m finishing high school so updates may be sparse for a couple weeks at a time. nice to meet you all, and i can’t wait to see where this leads!

Altar Update January 2021

Hey y'all! I wanted share with all of my current altar as well as my goals for it in the coming months.

Now, this isn't the prettiest, most modern altar I want but money was tight and supplies limited but that's not gonna stop us this year. Anyways, we've got my paper idol; the dumb crayola box haha, filled with Egyptian Musk and Tropical Fruit incense sticks that smell so good and I'll talk about the gods favorites in the next post! I've got my offering dish which, lil fact: is the lid from the crayola box. My little elephant jewelry holder. The hematite and tiger's eye stones, and the altar art!

Something else I've added is a red string around the Idol's neck which I saw a red scarf can be seen on Anubis occasionally so I thought that was fun to add.

What I wanna add/change

I'm currently creating a new piece of art for Set but I've already been offering to him and working with him, but I do feel the need to add him to the altar in a physical piece just like Anubis, Wep, and Anput.

The Board

The board that it is sitting on is a board on top of my dresser. I'm looking to move my dresser but for now I just wanna fix this situation. I'm hoping to fix it with black fabric or something similar. I tried to use a blood red table cloth to welcome Set to it but it was obnoxious and sounded like old fake thunder.

The Idols

I still need to add Idols for Set, Wep, and Anput! Maybe a better one for Anubis although the homemade one makes me happy.

I either wanna spray/paint these rose gold or replace them which leads into the next which is

Can anyone who works with/worships Bastet help me out a little?

I'm trying to contact her but I feel like I'm not really getting through? I tried tarot and well my mental state is a mess right now and nothing I drew made sense (not that I'm particularly skilled at tarot anyway). I prayed, of course, but I didn't feel anything strong like I do with Ares (my main deity). Maybe that's just not her style? Or I'm reading too much into it and stressing and I shouldn't be?

I just wanna know if there's anything I should know about talking to her that I'm clueless about.

My First Prayer to Set

I can't remember or tell you exactly what I said when I first spoke to Set but I offered him very little. I was at the end of my hopes in a very bad mental breakdown and I didn't get to meditate or give Set the time I planned to give him but during that meltdown and struggling to even just compose myself I found myself looking to him. I prayed to help me, to help ease my sadness, and to calm me down and through praying I ended up calming down a lot and was able to recover. At the end I begged him for a sign. The next morning, (25th) my mum opened a letter that said in January my provider is going to include mental health, so I can finally have affordable help.

I've heard so many times that Set helps those like me who are unstable and in bad mental health and if this isn't a huge sign then I don't know what is. I'll take it as a sign and walk with Set.
