I finally come bearing Nelson studies as requested @mikey-stardust-way. I had so much fun with these, I just had to draw a second page too as that blue lighting is 🤌 Thanks again Joel!
This took longer than expected as I totally fell down the Flatliners rabbit hole on AO3 and discovered @zoi-no-miko’s amazing David/Nelson fanfiction. Please check their work out, it’s sooo good 🔥♥️
My mood hasn’t been great the last few days, so who better to draw than the absolute ray of sunshine Sam Stanley. I had a lot of fun drawing these, and would like to dedicate them to @mikey-stardust-way and @hesawifebeaterdanusethegun who I know are both big Sam fans ♥️
This man is just so handsome 😍 I had a lot of fun staring at his face for a few hours!
(Thought I’d add the process video as this was a pretty straightforward piece - rather than the long-winded, chaotic mess my more original illustrations are)
Later this year I have plans to get either leather pants or leather chaps, though I am leaning more towards the chaps since I don't like ordering pants online. I'm also planning on cutting the collar off my vest to just sew onto this jacket since I'm tired of wearing them separately.
So @hypocriticaltypwriter suggested drawing ‘kabedon’ David x Michael from a ship art prompt list. I’ll admit I had to look it up 😂 Hopefully I’ve managed to get the pose right 🤞♥️
I see a lot of people posting art who apologise for it being "bad" or "cringe". NEVER APOLOGISE FOR YOUR ART. NEVER APOLOGISE FOR YOUR ART! Anybody who writes or draws knows how much effort goes into the creative process -- we don't need your apologies, because we understand. And the others who don't draw or write? Not only will they start to believe you when you say your stuff is bad, they'll think that, because they aren't "creative", they themselves shouldn't even try. And if you say it often enough, you'll start believing it, too.
Be proud of what you've created -- if it's not quite as good as you'd hoped, that's all right -- keep trying to improve. But don't put yourself down.
The world needs more art -- of every level of skill. Not less. Don't apologise for your contribution.
