When this couple from Austin, Texas first saw my fish print "Eliza's Mu" they knew they had to have it. As collectors of fish art, it spoke to their good taste, but more importantly, their hearts. And that's how art should be collected. #buywhatyoulove #originalart #gyotaku #fishprint #hawaii #maui #waileamarriott

"Enenue" 14 x 24, ink on handmade paper, original gyotaku. This was a large handsome Enenue that was speared off the shore of Maui by my husband. After I finished with the rubbing, we put it on the grill and enjoyed it with some french bread, salad greens and paired with a nice reisling, making it a perfect day, in my book.

"Auinala Nenue", 16 x 20, ink on silk. This is an original gyotaku fish print. This Nenue, or Gray Chub, was speared off the shore of Maui by my spear-fishing husband. I always use non-toxic inks so that after I am finished printing, we enjoy the fish in a meal. Copyright 2013, Debra Lumpkins. All Rights Reserved.

The latest edition of Maui No Ka ` Oi Magazine (one of my favorite publications) is out and the good people there included my gyotaku fish prints in their Gift Guide section. I couldn鈥檛 be happier with how it turned out and I'm stoked for the awesome feature. Mahalo! http://www.mauimagazine.net
