JUSTINE‘S ACCEPTANCE OF HIS INVITATION delighted him. They exited the library and went to the coffee shop. It was just near the university, and the walk took them less than fifteen minutes. They arrived at the establishment. Luckily, the place wasn‘t packed, and there wasn‘t a line. Making a beeline towards the counter, he greeted the barista politely. ❝I‘ll have the nitro cold brew,❞ he stated, and then he turned his attention to Justine. ❝What will you have?❞ he asked.
She wasn't quite sure what she expected of Victor, but it was clear there was much more to him than she initially thought. The more they spoke, Justine found herself drawn to know more about him. "So you're a nerd, got it," she replied in a playful tone. Maybe she had judged him a bit too harsh too soon. "Well I can't say I'm well versed in theology or science, but I do love coffee..." As a student, coffee is what got her through many mid-day slumps or even the occasional late night study session. "I'd like that."

SPONTANEOUS AND FUN. TWO WORDS that never suited Lee. She had always been uptight, needing everything to be planned. It was different with Grant. She allowed herself to let loose to the point of recklessness. ❝Well, fun and spontaneity is good for a short time, but it won‘t do you well in the long-run,❞ she riposted.
He smirked, noting the blush on her cheeks. Grant would let it go, at least for the moment. Pushing too hard wouldn't work with her. He had to be patient, wait for his opportunity. "Stability is overrated. Be a little spontaneous, have a little fun."

❝WHY NOT? WE‘RE FRIENDS. ISN‘T that a great foundation for marriage?❞ Daniel was an ordinary guy, but his simplicity made him harmless. He was different from the usual dangerous men she associated with. His lack of connections from the world she lived in made him the perfect candidate. She never had to worry about the risk of getting exposed.
"I don't know. Maybe it is." His eyebrows furrowed together slightly. "I just don't see why you'd want to be married to me is all." Daniel didn't see himself as a remarkable guy in any aspect. He didn't really have any hobbies. Most of his free time was spent watching TV or drinking. "Like out of everybody you know, why me?"

THEIR RELATIONSHIP HAD ALREADY ENDED. Imogen shouldn‘t feel bad for him, yet there was a part of her that empathized with Zach. She had fallen in love with the man she had told him not to worry about. And to add insult to injury, they were expecting a child and getting married. Talking to her ex-boyfriend face-to-face brought her guilt. ❝I—I just really love him a lot. More than I loved you,❞ Imogen said bluntly. She didn‘t think that one was better than the other. She and Zach were just not meant to be. She loved him, but not as intensely as she loves Cooper. ❝I‘m sorry.❞ She knew that an apology couldn‘t make things better for him, but this was all she could give him.
Hearing Imogen say that she can't see such a life with him , had only caused the heartache caused by her to become even more intense than it had been the night they had the fight about her not wanting marriage or children. The fight that had broken the couple up. He had thought he couldn't feel anymore pain after learning that she'd been involved with Cooper Anderson after their split. A man that Zach often expressed worry about , and now she is giving him two things that she'd spoke about never wanting to do with her life. ❝ What is so much better about him than me? There has to be something if you're welling to change your mind about something you were so dead set on being against. ❞

❝I DID. SHE CARES TOO much.❞ Victor didn‘t want to speak ill of her mother. He thought she was overbearing, but the blonde already knew that. It was the complete opposite of his own mother, who couldn‘t care less about what he did in his life. Talking about Delilah‘s problems, they succeeded in distracting him from what had transpired. ❝I think you deserve the best man out there, but he‘ll have to be stubborn and unfazed by your mother. It‘s definitely not that guy you had dinner with.❞
"Well, you've met my mother. Every guy I genuinely like, she scares off and then sets me up with some rich asshole's son." In her mother's eyes, there were hardly any men who were good enough to marry Delilah. The men she believed were, were so far from Delilah's type that it wasn't even funny. "The last guy she set me up with talked through the entire dinner. He didn't even let me order for myself. And then he expected a kiss goodnight when he walked me to my car. It was truly, truly terrible."

IT BAFFLED VANNA HOW THEY HAD become friends. They were polar opposites. A high-profile person like Fletcher was the last person she should be involved with, considering her ties to a dangerous world. Knowing the truth about her family might scare him off, but she didn‘t intend to reveal it to him. She could if she wanted to completely scare him away, but she didn‘t want to. ❝It doesn‘t suit you anyway. You shouldn‘t curse or be angry on my behalf.❞ Deep down, she loved how fussy and annoying he was. ❝They must be proud of you. They‘ve raised a refined son,❞ she quipped, rolling her eyes at him playfully. She had always been independent and free-spirited. The last thing she‘d do was lean on anyone, but she liked his readiness to be there for her whenever she needed.
Fletcher can't help but roll his eyes at her words but it is true. Swearing isn't a usual thing for him , but that doesn't mean that he likes being called out on it when it happened. ❝ It was only because of the heat in the moment. It won't be something that happens often. ❞ He felt like it was very much necessary to make it known that it isn't in his character to behave in such a manner. Fletcher is a prince , and that meant he was raised to act proper no matter the situation. ❝ Maybe you're right , Vanna. However being rude or cruel isn't the way that my parents raised me to be. Plus I don't want to scold you Vanna. I just wish that you realize that I'm on your side , and that means I am here for you to lean on if you need to. ❞

RECALLING THE DISASTROUS FAMILY MEETING, Vernon drew a deep breath. Regardless of everything that transpired, he loved Bethany, and nothing had changed. The two decided to spend some time apart. It would allow him to contemplate about everything, and her to sort things out with her family. He didn‘t want to reveal his girlfriend‘s well-kept secret. But Zach was his best friend, and he trusted him a lot. In addition, he was bottling up a lot of emotions; venting might actually alleviate his concerns. ❝Her older brother threw a fit and revealed her big secret. It turns out, she has a daughter, who‘s raised by her parents.❞
Zach is sure that Vernon is more than aware that he still stands on the fence about his relationship with Bethany , but he always wouldn't not support his friend's happiness. If she truly made his best friend happy than he would put his own personal feelings aside and support him and the relationship he has with her. The male's interest had been peaked the moment he spoke about things being eventful. ❝ How eventful are we speaking about? You know whatever you tell me won't leave these four walls. ❞ Zach knowing that whatever Vernon was about to tell him would be hard to keep from Arya , but he'd do his best to do so. Unless he felt like his wife deserved to know.

i wish worldbuilding was more hyped up and coveted in the rpc. i deeply miss building towns with writers and carving out the various settings, from the coffeehouse-bookstore combos to the hole-in-the-wall bars to the neighborhoods, i miss selecting existing cities and depositing characters in there and connecting them as we see fit, hell maybe even with charas from other threads, i miss carefully weaving together universes and forming romantic, platonic, and familial relationships with our charas of varying ages, nationalities/ethnicities/races, socioeconomic statuses, orientations, etc. i miss the variety that worldbuilding and multimuse content brings to the table and i’m not sure why it’s so difficult to find people who have a mutual interest in this 💔 let’s b u i l d

VICTOR WAS DETERMINED TO RESOLVE this issue and completely ease her from apprehension. ❝You can count on me,❞ he assured her, pressing a tender kiss atop her head. He‘d do everything he could to provide her the security she needed. For now, they set aside their problems. He‘d make the most of their time together in their little trip. He‘d made some calls, contacting their chalet‘s caretaker to notify them about their arrival. ❝We have a few hours to pack and prepare. Make sure to bring something that‘ll keep you warm.❞
“i’m counting on you for that — i need it.” there was, for now, always going to be some doubt harbouring in her mind. it would perhaps remain until victor had taken care of the situation. whenever that might be, she didn’t know. she did feel a little bit less tense in the shoulders and with him arranging the little trip for the two of them, she really didn’t have to worry about much.
#sunliights#victor & ione#m: victor#q#this can honestly be a timeskip or just an end. idm what you feel. we can always start something new if you're not musey for this anymore.

ARYA NEVER THOUGHT THAT THEY‘D get to this point. She didn‘t expect that she‘d ever be this happy. Meeting him, falling in love with him, and having their son was unexpected. Life truly was full of surprises. Hers did a complete 180—in the best way—going from miserable to happy. ❝That is so.❞ She held onto him tightly, kissing the back of his neck. Her lips curling into a smile when he placed his hands on her lower back, keeping her in place. She had no intention of moving away from him. ❝Exactly. You‘re sick. You can‘t spread it around,❞ she quipped with a giggle, going along with his jest.
After the heartbreak he had gone through with after many things to do with his ex Imogen , Zach never thought that he'd get a second chance at happiness. Arya and their son had proven otherwise. ❝ Oh is that so? ❞ Smirk forming upon his lips as he questions her in a teasing tone. Hands going behind his back to place on fem's lower back to keep her from moving away from him. ❝ Oh no , I think I am coming down with some kind of sickness. I can't be irresponsible and going to work and spreading it around. ❞

ARRIVING AT THE HOT TUB, he spotted Isabelle, who seemed self-conscious around him. It would be a first for them to have one-on-one. Edwin didn‘t want to make it awkward. It wasn‘t his first time being alone with a girl. Though this was different than the other times since she was a friend—a part of their circle. ❝Hey,❞ he greeted in response. Slipping off his shirt, he got into the hot tub and joined her. ❝That‘s alright. It‘s more peaceful like this anyway.❞
She stood hesitantly at the edge of the hot tub as she waited for Edwin to arrive. Would it be weirder to wear her shirt in the hot tub or strip down to her bathing suit in front of him. Probably wearing the t-shirt. Isabelle had her t-shirt halfway off when she heard him walking up behind her. "Hey." She shifted self-consciously before placing her shirt on a chair and getting into the steaming water. "I'm sorry everybody else bailed."

WARMTH PERMEATED THROUGH HER BODY from their closeness, her fingers tenderly caressing the the other‘s cheeks, tracing the outline of her pretty face. Guinevere noticed Faye‘s eyes lingering on her lips. She smiled in anticipation, her excitement growing. Her response to the bold and fervent kiss Faye initiated was prompt. She leaned closer, and pressed her body to hers, reciprocating her passion into the kiss.
perhaps. faye wasn’t convinced by how non-committal the statement was, not when it was so easy to get guinevere happily closer to her. “hm… perhaps,” she echoed contemplatively, as if her eyes weren’t lingering on the other woman’s lips. “come here…” she murmured, mind already made up as she leaned in to let herself press their lips together in a bold and fervent kiss.
#sunliights#guinevere & faye#m: guinevere#q#feel free to timeskip or end it here if you don‘t feel like diving into details#i‘m just picking up threads and possibly concluding them if that‘s what my partner wants

❝I‘M NOT LIKE MOST PEOPLE.❞ Truthfully, Jesper‘s assumption wasn‘t far off. Genesis had engaged in meaningless dalliances, one after another, just to get over him. Even with his correctness, she didn‘t want to admit that he meant to her more than she let on. She held onto her pride, relentless with her denial. Her lips pursed, watching him sit comfortably and munch on the snacks. He was seated like it was his rightful place. Once upon a time, she thought it was. She was still trying to undo how conditioned she was having him in her life. ❝I‘m not lying to myself. If you‘re not too concerned about it, then why are you insistent? Sounds like you want to be right.❞ She bit the inside of her cheek. ❝Do you really want me to enumerate everything that‘s wrong with you?❞
"who said you had to sulk in a corner to show you're not over someone? don't people usually dive head first into something?" in this case, the pants of another who didn't even hold a candle to jesper? or, well, that's what his big head thinks of the guy. eyes roll and he continues to chomp on the snacks she didn't offer him, now convinced more than ever that she's lying. why feel the need to boast and defend if the sex really was that good? "believe me, i'm not concerned about it. i was just wondering when you're going to stop lying to yourself is all. my shortcomings? like what, hmm?"

IT WAS RARE TO FORM a genuine connection in their world. There was always a motive behind every friendships forged. Everything was about networking. One had to know the right people and be part of the circle to remain relevant. Andrew was different. He was a true friend. ❝They surely will.❞ The prospect of him resorting to ass grabbing had her chuckling. ❝I know you won‘t ever do that. Kissing is fine. We can do it if it‘s necessary.❞
The superficial connections was the thing Andrew hated most about their world. He'd grown up in a small town where everybody knew everybody. Now everybody just thought they knew everything about him. "Okay. Uh, I mean I'm sure they'll expect some level of physical affection. I'm not planning on grabbing your ass or anything, but kissing each other is okay, right? When we're out in public, I mean."
