I’m still not over how I’ve managed to link Thoma to the Akame school in my hcs but here we are

Fatui weapon desginer/manufacturer Sviatopolk Mstislavich Akame, his wife Tamara Vadimovna Akame and their son Rostislav (aka my take on Thoma’s father)

Sviatopolk and Tamara are children of some of the other Akame smiths who fled with Akame Kanenaga to Snezhnaya, but also saw it as an opportunity to expand their art by actively collaborating with the Fatui.

The Fatui, in turn, continued to be gracious by taking their son in after they both suddenly passed away…

New chapter’s up! Might as well finally post this old doodle from late last year of Oksana and Ignacy too while I’m at it

Some first concepts (2021-early 2022) vs current designs. Tesey’s probably the oldest since his first concept’s from May 2021, but back then he was known as Mikula and probs way better at hiding how he felt (trust me that dude still had issues LMAO)

Last set are Thoma’s parents (Klaudia Abendroth and Rostislav Snezhevich/“Yukimoto Ryosei/雪元令成”, yes that fake name has the subtlety of a truck and yes, he’s like Lyudochka [Inazuman, raised in the HotH and roped into Efim’s rogue faction]), granted the concept designs are basically their designs from their youth as opposed to how they look now

What if Childe did in fact go back to Snezhnaya? What if he had to finally talk to his older siblings again?

A v self indulgent fic but also my first proper multichapter fic and I’m p proud of that alone. It’s primarily from Tesey’s POV but it does deal with the older bunch and their relationship with Ajax in general

I’m trying to strengthen an argument about how Childe’s demo theme (Letter From Ajax) maps out his character story and THE PIANO MOTIF IS STILL THERE EVEN BENEATH ALL THAT GUITAR+CRASH CYMBALS+DRUMS

I don’t know which part of him it symbolizes but the fact that it’s consistent is surprising considering all the mess on top

Aight SO:

Oksana Fedorivna Neschadymenko (Оксана Федорівна Нещадименко, née Kalashnyk/Калашник)

- actually p shy and introverted, can be p sensitive and sentimental at times too

- lived in Morepesok her whole life, her family settled there some time ago during its heyday

- she’s the middle child and has two brothers (an older one name Myroslav who’s moved to the city and has three daughters, and a younger one named Anatoliy who stayed and has five kids), her younger brother and her parents don’t live too far away from her and Serhii’s home

- nowadays she just wishes her kids would all come home more often since she worries about them so much and wants to make sure they’re ok

- she’s always been more on the stereotypically feminine side (being quite capable at the loom, embroidery, cooking, etc, I mean hell, she handmade nearly all the kids’ clothes before they started earning their own incomes*, probs still does even with Ajax’s harbinger money), when Kirena was young she probably tried to encourage her to play with dolls more often than playing in trees, but that didn’t work and she was too soft when it heavily upset Kirena so she didn’t push it further

*keep in mind this would’ve been the necessity for a lot of peasants especially but idk how similar Snezhnaya is gonna be in terms of wealth disparity and stuff. Traditional dowries also consisted of rushnyky and embroidered shirts to show one’s prowess but regardless, Oksana enjoys spending her time at the loom and with her thread and needle

Serhii Mykhailovych Neschadymenko (Сергій Михайлович Нещадименко):

- is actually the extroverted one lmao

- was abandoned as a baby and raised in a Cossack monastery, but ultimately became an adventurer to find somewhere he felt he belonged. As a result he was extremely pious, but over the years has become more and more disillusioned with the Tsaritsa following the Ajax shenanigans

- came across Morepesok by accident, ended up courting Oksana and settling down there permanently

- Jack of all trades since he picked up various skills on his travels (he can fight with his twin shashka, sing, dance, play bandura, etc), but nowadays he’s mainly tending to his own garden and does beekeeping since his health isn’t as great as it used to be

- his basic view regarding his kids is that they’re free to choose their own paths and do as they please so he’s probably the more laidback parent in comparison, but he wants them to at least look out for one another

- his biggest regret is sending Ajax to the Fatui

I think both of them have accepted that they can’t change what happened but there’s still a lot of regrets over how they handled everything with Ajax (I won’t go into full details of that yet since uh, currently working on a fic ehe), that and there really isn’t much they can do now. Also like, I need to emphasise that they’re country folk from a small village in a fantasy world, there is a lot they probably wouldn’t understand compared to what we would know now lmao

But before all of that they’re basically that one couple who seemed to have a romance that came straight out of a fairytale and doted on their children. They could’ve continued what was basically a cottagecore dream too if Ajax didn’t end up wandering off

Could you tell us more about Tesey and Kirena?

Oh sure! Not sure what you’d want specifically so I’ll just post a dot point compilation of random bits about them that I don’t think have been mentioned yet lol, if there’s anything else (from anyone) you’re more than welcome to ask

- Tesey loves syrnyky, it’s something that gives him a lot of comfort especially when he’s overseas (he has similar feelings with varenyky). Kirena’s favourite food is pork knuckle/golyashka since it wasn’t something they had very often as kids especially

- Tesey loves learning things and adored reading as a kid (he did get an Akasha in Sumeru, and yes he very much enjoyed being able to use the internet lmao), Kirena preferred to play outside, running amok and climbing trees and all that (their mother tried to encourage her to play with dolls more and be perceived as more ladylike, but she was too soft to fully enforce it since Kirena really didn’t like that). Sometimes they played role playing games with Illya and Ajax (Ajax especially adored these games), Kirena always volunteered to be the dragon

- They all learnt an art from their dad: Kirena is able to twirl shashka like Ajax, Tesey happens to be a good singer (he’s always been p shy about it though, he mostly sings to himself)

- Out of all the siblings, Tesey’s the one with the most negative view on the Fatui whereas Kirena is like Illya (doesn’t exactly approve of or like what they do but are otherwise indifferent and have accepted it as something that is part of their lives regardless).

- They’re both fluent in their parents’ mother tongue, standard Snezhnayan and Teyvat common. Tesey’s more proficient in languages though as he’s also able to understand Fontainian, some Liyuenese and also Sumeru’s main languages

- Both Tesey and Ajax have a traveller/Podorozhnytsya motanka made by their mother, Kirena’s necklaces are also primarily hand me downs from their mum
