“Critique” This started with a reader asking what could make Mordecai smile.  I had a few ideas.  For a change of pace, I went with the more saccharine one (I also had a little kitten in the house at the time who provided some inspiration). I posted this a while back, but in its original horizontal layout, it was impossible to read here.  I recently reformatted it for Webtoon, so I figured I might as well reformat for tumblr too. Biology Buddies

A short dark-academia themed comic. It was originally for a zine but some stuff came up and I couldn't meet the deadline, I finished it anyways cause I just really like the vibe of it! I cant get enough of cosy slice of life :)

(I'll throw some rambling about the au here under the cut)

SO I've this very indulgent AU where Uncle Chuck works at a local museum in research, Shadow's at University (Team DARK have long ditched GUN by this point) but working at the museum for an extra module. Chuck had heard of Shadow before, but really got to know him while they worked together. Shadow's insistent on keeping his presence at the museum private, so Tails is a bit shocked at the revelation, BUT turns out Shadow's a lot more approachable when they're not stressing about fighting or missions. He takes threatening scenarios very seriously, but they enjoy desk-work a lot and they find it relaxing (Rouge finds it boring so she usually doesn't stick around too long but she likes to make sure he's taking care of himself and show support! He's also an excuse to go buy coffee haha)

Tails is old enough that he's starting to do a few classes and get qualifications, but he's still too young to actually go to collages or anything so Chuck's letting him use his office in the museum (though he ends up sharing with Shadow a lot too.)
