It's so beautiful to see how balanced Charan and Khanin's relationship is despite their massive difference in social standing. Taking into account that Khanin desperately needs Charan to feel safe and only trusts him, one could have easily made Charan just the typical bodyguard type of boyfriend. His literal duty is to keep Khanin safe. But instead they made Charan vulnerable, they gave him weaknesses that make him cry and break down and feel insecure. In these moments it is Khanin who is there for Charan, calms him down and takes care of him. Despite his general brat personality, Khanin is actually really mature and emotionally intelligent and wonderfully caring. This balances their relationship into neither of them being actually really dominant over the other. While Charan might be physically stronger, Khanin has political power and although Khanin can command him, Charan does not blindly follow whatever Khanin wants. He thinks for himself and acts reasonably.
