Taskmaster comedian Harold x Taskmaster comedian Bertie,,, lowkey obsessed with this au

(theyre not dating. yet.) One of the tasks being a team one and it's like 'Put on a show for Alex. It must last 5 minutes. The two of you must be touching elbows at all times. Most outrageous wins.' They make loads of comments like "would channel 4 censor it if we just started having sex" "Is having sex on camera too risqué?" "The most outrageous thing we could do would take longer than 5 minutes..."

The two of them decide to just make out, à la Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery in that one golden globes elevator video. They come last, and they're like "homophobia at its finest 😔"

One of the 'bring something in' starter tasks is "bring in something you've forgotten to give back" and Harold's is a pair of Bertie's boxers, and then it actually transpires that he's had them since they had a fling at Cambridge, and the tumblr taskmaster fandom loses their minds

One episode they keep up a bit when after it's a team task where Bertie was with another contestant, Harold acts like a scorned lover and makes all the contestants move around so him and Bertie are at opposite ends of the chairs

Another episode Bertie disputes the validity of one of Harold's tasks, and they do the classic "shut up" and "make me". Harold goes and sits on Bertie's lap and they're all "is something wrong Greg" and he says "get back to your seats you filthy heathens!!!"

Any task they do they manage to make an innuendo about each other, like the task is eat a banana without using your hands and Bertie is all "if I just think about Harold I'm definitely gonna win this task"

Harold wins that series of Taskmaster and makes it to the champion of champions episode, where the starter task is "steal the best thing from the other contestants". One of the other contestants takes a photo with Bertie and tells Greg they stole Harold's boyfriend, which is how it's revealed Harold and Bertie are dating

MMU Week 2024

So I'm not exactly sure whether this has been done this year before but I've already done this so-

In honour of the 10th year anniversary (I'm a bit late, I know) and it currently being Daisy Wells month, I've decided to do a lil something to celebrate.

You (and I of course) can all post fanart, fanfiction, book reviews etc all in line with the above throughout Sunday 23rd June - Saturday 29th June.

MMU reading headcannons

Because apparently I've been struck with inspiration

Daisy Wells

- reads modern, gory, adult thriller books and feminist non-fiction

- can't sit still enough to read books in a physical form so uses audiobooks

- the books she does have are in the worst condition possible, creased and crinkly and pages falling out, having been in the shower, on the ground and tossed around in a school bag (both George and Hazel are horrified)

- loves hearing poetry read aloud, especially sapphic poetry

- doesn't have a bookshelf, just book piles all over

Hazel Wong

- mostly reads feminist non-fiction but secretly also loves rom-com esque novels

- her comfort author is Enid Blyton (has a soft spot for Mallory Towers)

- loves the smell of bookshops

- highlights passages in her books but would never annotate them

- has a kindle on her at all times and prefers it to physical books

Alexander Arcady

- likes audiobooks more than physical books

- reads alot of YA detective fiction because he finds it more relatable

- loves sci-fi

- often seen down the library asking about the latest doctor who novel

- volunteers in the school library in exchange for being allowed to keep books on space over their due date

George Mukherjee

- his favourite book genre is fantasy, especially queer fantasy but also enjoys reading old fashioned detective fiction

- keeps their books pristine but does annotate them

- learned to read quite early and used to sit on his dad's lap flicking through medical textbooks

- really good at book recommendations for any genre

- steals all Harold's books from him while he's at uni
