There once was a girl who was joyful

never mean, never sad, and never hateful

I am dead

 There once was a girl who would get sad but she never thought anything of it

just always told herself “be happy” “be glad”

I am dead

 There once was a girl who cuts her wrists and cries

and when she says she’s fine I know she lied

I am dead

 there once was a girl that couldn't stand the picture in the mirror

she just pinched the fat and stood there and watched the tears

I am dead

 there once was a girl that wanted to die

she stood there with a blade and watched the blood flow by

 there once was a sad girl, but she is no more

she found relief when she knew
