The American Ballet Theatre is debuting its first same-sex pas de deux tonight, performed by Calvin Royal III and João Menegussi. A snippet of the performance has been circulating on TikTok (above), and it’s so beautiful, I was moved to tears. I tried to capture the tenderness of these thirty seconds in charcoal and pencil as best as I could. (Below.)

Prompt for the askbox meme from your main blog! Milky/Copper first time? Doesn't have to be their first time in general, just the first trying any sort of thing of the nsfw variety~

Summary: Milky and Copper try something new. 

It wasn’t like their first time. That night had been awkward and fumbling, with Milky’s hands fluttering uncertainly across skin she’d never even seen before, and Copper—shockingly—telling her to be rougher, not to worry about breaking her.

But breaking her hadn’t been Milky’s concern. She knew enough about Copper’s past to be wary, and too little to know if Copper would react badly to certain advances. Milky wanted to cover her in kisses, to worship every part of her smaller lover, from head to toe, and Copper was only so patient.

“Milky… Milky please…”

Milky hadn’t ever heard anything more alluring in her life.

Tonight was different. Amethyst had arranged for the couple to stay in a hotel again—a different one—and Copper spared no effort in shifting into something fancy, lacy and revealing.

There was no room for preamble; it was still early, not even dusk yet, but as soon as Milky had drawn the curtains, Copper was on tiptoe, kissing her collarbones and neck. The quartz shivered, dipping down to kiss her lover, and Copper slipped her arms around her shoulders, pressing flush against Milky like they’d done this a million times.

Milky felt a flush spread across her pale cheeks. She hoped they could do this a million times.

Her hands faltered a little, distracted by Copper’s expert application of lips and tongue, and she whimpered when the smaller Gem drew back.

“I want to try something new,” Copper said daringly, golden eyes wide, and Milky was relieved to see that she was just as flushed, but much more beautifully. “Can I—can I touch your Gem?”

Milky blinked owlishly, but nodded. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I let you…?”

Right. Because Copper couldn’t tolerate it, herself.

“If you don’t like it, tell me to stop,” Copper ordered, in a voice that gave no room for argument, and Milky responded with a gentle kiss to her forehead. “I want to—to see if… it’s good for you.”

“I’m pretty sure anything you’d like to do is going to be good,” Milky admitted, “I trust you. I’m not scared.”

“You’d better not be,” Copper teased, ghosting her hand along Milky’s shoulder, down toward her Gem. “I never want to hurt you. Ever. You know that, right?”

Milky shivered as Copper’s fingertips skirted the cut of her Gem, electrifying and shockingly comfortable, and it went straight to her groin. She willed away her clothing without prompting, and Copper paused to take in her lover’s form. Milky was soft and supple in every way that the pearl wasn’t, muscular but padded with surprising curves for her caste. Her breasts were round and heavy, not perky the way Copper’s were, and her waist tapered close to the base of her ribcage. Her hips were wide—Copper was quite certain that she could be fairly happily crushed between them—and muscular. Copper sometimes envied that.

Copper let her eyes linger between Milky’s legs, where a faint blush of yellow bloomed beneath the curly hair that tried to hide her heat. She wanted to touch her there, too, but for the purposes of her experiment, it would have to wait.

“Can I use my mouth?”

“H-huh?” Milky asked without dignity, cheeks flushed a similar sunny yellow.

“On your Gem.”

Oh.

Oh yes.

The quartz smiled, dipping down to press a kiss to Copper’s jaw. “Anything you like. Ah… But not by the window?” She didn’t think she could stand for Copper’s teasing.

Milky got her wish; Copper tugged her arm, softly brushing her free fingers down the swell of her bosom, and they were on the bed in short order for the remainder of the night.
