Example of how much i love the details in Warframe characterization. Arthur was in the private protection service, so taking pauses when quoting a message can cost your career.
An important part of his route is to give him a safe space to humanize because Arthur is still not used to not being in a formal organization.
Also i like how Quincy specifically hates how Arthur keeps acting like there's someone above them in rank (there's not) and sees it as him riding an imaginary pony.
I finally got this line and the screenshots I've seen simply do not do justice to Arthur's deadpan delivery xd

'I like a lot peridot's arc because it was about softening and trusting others-' no it was not
I want to remind you that we see Steven's perspective
So, these ball fellas start appearing and they crystal gems have been breaking them left and right, Steven found them and looking for him the gems discovered that the fellas were fixing the homeworld portal, in comes peridot. However, Steven's first impression is that she's a mom, but then, he sees her stomp on one of the guys, seing as peridot doesn't care and it happens slowly, it probably was important for Steven, Garnet breaks the portal as soon as peridot goes back to what looks like stress testing.
So now peridot is not only stranded in a planet with tech from a diamond she had never seen before, a planet devastated by war, but also was being actively hunted down. We see how peridot gets more frantic each episode, eventually she becomes erratic out of stress and one day, peridot risks it all, goes to the crystal gems temple, kidnaps THE steven and asks him to fix the portal to go home.
Doesn't work. The gems come. They get her. They are not hearing anything they say. It's so bad, we not only get how it takes garnet about a second to squeeze her out of her physical form, but each individual part of her limb enhancers hitting the floor. To be fair, it's the first time steven has seen the crystal gems poof a 'normal' gem, a gem that just got to earth.
When peridot reforms and gets in the bathroom, it makes sense that she keeps her homeworld mannerisms, it also makes sense her behavior given all the stress she underwent, the pressure she's put into and also the fact that peridot it's an elite gem out of effort, so this might have been the first time in her life peridot has had the chance to be juvenile.
However, the gems actively dismiss and keep her guard up peridot even knowing this, if you ask why, i want to remind you that despite all i mentioned earlier, despite being 1 vs 3, despite being an era 2 gem with no affinity in shape shift nor ferrokinesis; peridot was winning.
Then peridot opens up more as time goes on, so I'd say it's less about softening and more about mental health.
I would have liked more peridot, for example, an episode dedicated to the relationship she has with jasper, or how peridot might know spinnel.
Or better yet, an episode built upon the fact that a good allegory for minority specific insults could be clod, since it means a pile of clay, aka era 2 gems. Lapiz and amethyst? Sure, peridot doesn't mind, they're her friends and since they weren't around that time period, amethyst probably has no idea what clod is, while lapiz is best friends with other clods. Bismuth calls peridot clod? Sure, it stings but like, amethyst calls peridot clod like it's her name, and she barely knows bismuth, but bismuth was in a bubble. Jasper calls her clod? Maybe it's time to test if those electric batons still work.
