like how hard is it to understand that feminism isn't being 'forced out of traditional gender roles' (as much as i believe that they SHOULDNT be a thing). its being able to CHOOSE whether you stick to them or not. feminism is being able to choose if you want kids. feminism is being able to choose if you want higher education or not, or being able to choose if you want to get married. feminism is not having to choose between a job and a family. feminism also isn't just distinct to cishet women. feminism is also not forcing any of the above onto anyone. feminism is accepting that this applies to ALL women. TERFS are not feminists. the act of excluding certain women from your feminist beliefs actively goes against it.

Some things I want to add to this post -

I'm not trying to defend any personal decision I've made. I'm pretty independent as a woman. I just firmly believe that women shouldn't have to defend these decisions to begin with and that women can do kind of whatever they want and that should be okay, whether that means they get high paying trade or corporate jobs, go into the arts, get married young and decide to have a family, or live as sugar babies. I don't give a fuck, and nobody should. Isn't the point of feminism autonomy? And I think that goes both ways.

And you immediately assuming that this post was made because I felt invalidated in choices I had made (which I haven't) by other women being praised (which I don't) shows that you have little to no reading comprehension and/or were looking for a fight and I'm not going to continue arguing with you. The post was simple, cut, and dry. And I don't like fighting- that's also my choice.

Clarification- this isn't about women being praised. Women should absolutely be praised for breaking barriers. This is about people who shame women for wanting to live autonomous lives independent from somebody else's political views/feeling like women owe you a particular lifestyle in any direction because of your beliefs.

1. It is absolutely not cool that this ask was removed from my inbox, I do not consider it spam, I am a Christian and a person asking for help is never spam to me, I consider the removal of such a request to be insulting

Genuinely like you are going to have some of the most boring coworkers and neighbors in the world. You are gonna have annoying people who are loud and have the most reddit opinions and personality you can think of and who are just as awkward as you and who may make jokes in poor taste. But you still gotta be able to just like talk to them about the weather and shit. Hear people talk about their kids or their jobs or what movies come out recently. Obvs this has limits with like outright bigots but as a general rule you gotta cause that's the only way you can build real life community. You'll never be able to borrow a cup of sugar or host a block party or organize a union by only talking to people who you like. If you wanna build a better world with those around you you gotta learn their names first.
