Until I Met You [Keith x Reader]
requested: yes! this was QUITE the thing to write!
genre: soulmate!au
pairing: keith kogane x reader
word count: 3438
plot: After 17 years of seeing in black and white, (Y/N) finds her soulmate, Keith, and things become as better as they could have ever been.
warnings: death, some cursing, SLIGHT (seriously is almost nothing, I don’t feel comfortable writting about this stuff hehe) sexual content and the feels man.
There it was again: a rainbow. Everyone in your surroundings had stopped in their tracks and were staring at it; some of them even taking pictures. You couldn’t help but wonder, how did the rainbow look to have so many people enthralled by it? What was so special about it that it was worth a picture? And, chiefly, how did the colors look like in the rainbow?
You knew this curse you were holding was because it would be the way you’ll find your soulmate. But, was it really worth it? Not being able to see the marvels of color and how they exhilarate the world’s days?
For your whole life you searched for your significant other, but is was of no use. 17 years of life without being able to see the different shades of colour. 17 years of your life without knowing if your clothes were matching or not, and for what?
The rain was not something anusual in your hometown, specially in this time of the year, where summer storms happened at least once a week.
That day was like no other, you have forgotten your umbrella at your house so the rain had drenched your outfit, shirt stuck to your upper body, while you were making your way towards work after a long day at school. Hopefully you might have left something in your work’s locker that you could change into so that the uncomfortable feeling of wet fabric wouldn’t have to be a burden during the rest of the day.
You were volunteering at a kindergarden until night for those kids whom parents had late work hours. It started at three p.m and ended at eight p.m. Parents had the option of leaving their kids during the whole time or fetching them when it was more convenient for them. Some kids staying until the last minute, while others leaving 10 minutes after their school hours had finished.
Being honest, you really enjoyed your work; it was what motivated you during the day. Watching the kids play with one another, smiling, and sharing laughs and giggles lightened up your mood. Maybe it was because it made you remember about your happy childhood when nothing really mattered, not even the fact that you couldn’t perceive color, and when life was a blessing: no problems, all good and happy vibes.
You arrived there 6 minutes later than you should; not that it was a problem for the rest of the volunteering group, but you were already annoyed, and this annoyed you even more.
You had already changed when you heard Madison shouting your name while making her way towards you and hugging you tightly once her little legs had reached to where you were. Madison was a 4-year-old little girl. Pale skin and short golden locks. Eyes as big as plates which shone as stars but had the color of the ocean. You really couldn’t see how she looked like, how gorgeous people said she was because of this, but the way her eyes showed so much elation, was all you needed for believing she was the most cherful person in the whole planet.
You were crouched to her level, so that both of you could look properly into each others eyes. She was smiling, showing the little gap between her front teeth.
“Did you know someone new is coming today?” Her words surprised you. Someone new? You didn’t know people enjoyed staying up until late everyday just to take care of some children; you have always thought you were one of the few ones that did.
“No. I didn’t know. Are you excited? We might have someone to add to our princess squad after all.” You replied. Smiling as well. Her happiness taking away the nuisance that was consuming you moments ago.
“YES! It will be so much fun! I can’t wait for her to arrive.” Madison then giggled and grabbed your hand. She was taking you to your usual spot: a little playground in the back of the building that had the tower you used to pretend was your castle. There, it seemed as if you escaped the ordinary word and became the cousin of the princess of Neurlia, a made up place by Madison’s creative mind, while the little girl was said princess. You both would spend hours there, laughing and creating a shield from the people around you.
“But princess Madi you can’t marry a prince if you are not in love with him.” You said, playing along to the story she had created.
“It’s for the sake of my kingdom, Lady (Y/N), there is no other way” she dramatically said, putting the back of her right hand infront of her forhead. You held back the laugh that was about to scape your lips.
That’s when Laura, your boss and organizer of this project, made her way towards you with a boy, though it was Madison who took notice of this and informed you about it. You looked up then, and locked eyes with the boy. And suddenly you felt as if your heart had stopped beating and were lost again, only that this time, not in the fantasy world of princesses and princes were Madison and you were trapped moments ago. You were lost in a world of amazement and relief. You were being able to see the color of the boy’s eyes. What color they were? you had no idea, all you knew, was that it was your new favorite color.
He was shocked too. He had believed that the whole soulmate thing was all a lie and that, the reason because he couldn’t see color, was because he was color blind or because of some medical condition that couldn’t be cured. But seeing you there, looking into his eyes as if he had been the solution of all your problems lighted up a spark of hope in his heart. He was intrigued by you; no one during his whole life had made him feel that way.
And so were you. You were so drawned to the boy infront of you that for a moment, you forgot that you both weren’t the only living people in the world. But then, you started noticing how the color of his eyes was not the only one you could see, but also his skin and hair color, and how bright of the kindergarden was. You started looking all around you, not being tired in the slightest of this new discovery of yours.
Then, you looked towards were Madison was. The little girl was so confused about the whole situation. But you just focused in her eyes which were said to be the color of the ocean. And, if the ocean really looked like that you couldn’t wait for meeting with it again. Her hair was so bright, and full of light, it mirroed the small girl’s personality. Was that how the sun looked like? You looked up to the sky, but it was covered in clouds, which color was almost sad; nothing new for you to see. Nevertheless, you weren’t affected by it, as the smile on your face was as bigger as it had ever been.
Laura cleared her throat, clearly figuring out that something had happened between the two of you. Her eyes fidgeting between your’s and the boy’s ones, which were, once again, locked into each others.
“So (Y/N)” she said, making your head turn slowly in her direction. You realized that her hair was the color of the trees and her eyes a shade lighter than her hair. Also, that she used very jazzy make up. When you smiled at her, showing that you were paying attention to whatever she was about to say.
“This is Keith Kogane. He will be working with us during the whole the year, if not more. I was showing him around and you were the last one for him to meet.” In the loss of words, you smiled again, and looked at Keith one more time while still smiling, only to find he was smiling at you too. Not even realizing that your boss was no where to be seen.
“My name’s Madison. But (Y/N) calls me Madi. Would you like to play with us?” It was Madison’s turn to speak up, inviting the boy who’s name you had learned was Keith into the kigndom of Neurlia.
He laughed a little, and your heart melted even more.
“Yeah, sure.” Keith said. Not only his laugh was melody to your ears but also his voice. Deep and rough but calmed at the same time.
Seconds, minutes and one or maybe even two hours passed by and, nonetheless to the fact that it was a little more uncomforable than those times you had spent alone with the golden haired girl, it was something you were willing to do again more frequently.
Once it was eight p.m and Madison had already been fetched by her mother, a woman in her early thirties, Keith and you made your way out of the building. An uneasy silence made it’s way towards the air; both, Keith and you, not knowing from where to start talking. Should they start from the part when they both started seeing color, or from where Madi and you played together and had an amazing time recreating the scenary of princesses and princes.
“So. Umm. You are my soulmate?” He speaks, and internally cringes at how stupid the question was. But then you giggled, and an instantaneous smile appeared in his face. It was weird for him to smile, but he couldn’t help it, something about you made him happy in ways he couldn’t describe.
“Yes, seems like it” you replied.
Keith offered to walk you home which you gladly agreed to. During the walk you talked about what did each other like and found out you had the same taste in music and were very drawned by it for the same reasons: it was the only way you could express yourself, apart from writing. Art has never really astound any of you, but had really intrigued you your whole life, and now, that you were both able to see color and how supposedly artist could play with so easily and flowly, you organized a date at an art museum and exchange numbers to set a date.
After that day, you noticed Keith more. He was in some of your classes but you, surprisingly, have never seen him before. It was weird for your friends that you had taken interest in the loner of the school with all the boys that were trying to get your attention. But when you explained to them that he was your soulmate, thing turned around. They helped you with colors: telling you what was the name of the specific colors you asked about.
Keith and you had talked during the following day and sat together at some of the clases you shared. Conversation flowing as if the two of you had been friends since the beginning of time. At the afternoon, walking together to the kindergarden where Madison was waiting for you to go into the world of fantasy with her; it was a routine.
__
The day of your date at the museum arrived and you were thrilled. You couldn’t wait for four o'clock to arrive and once it did, you rushed out of your house towards said museum.
Your parents were so amused by the fact that you had found your soulmate and told you, again, the story about their meeting once the news escaped your mouth. They had always wished for your happiness.
You arrived at the museum and catched your breath before entering the enourmous building.
“Keith! Hi! Where you waiting for me for a long time? I’m sorry if I arrived la-”
“No, no. I arrived here two minutes ago. Let’s go and make the best out of this.” he said, linking his arm with you. This caused your cheeks to burn and a smile painted your face.
The whole time constisted in both of you looking at paintings or pieces of art, complementing the colors and the different techniques artist used. Once in a while he would crack a joke, and you would respond with a witty remark, causing the both of you to burst out laughing earning angry glances from the other spectators.
“Oh shit, look at the time. My parents are going to murder me.” you said, causing Keith to laugh.
“Let’s walk you home then.” and with that you left.
__
“Which was your favorite one?” you asked with hopes of creating one of those conversations that delighted you that much.
“mmm I don’t think I have a favorite one. Everything was awesome. The colors, techniques. I never thought I would like art that much. What about you? Do you have a favorite one” he answered, clearly showing how much he enjoyed the time you spent there.
“Same as you. Each one of them were so amazing. I couldn’t get enough of them! Though I loved the painting with pastel colors the most.” You said making emphasis in the word love.
By the end of the conversation you realized you had arrived to your house and were standing at your front porch.
“Do you wanna come in?” you said “After all, none of us had eaten yet”.
He smiled. “Sure, yes.”
And with that, you opened the door with your keys to find your parents waiting for you by the living room.
Your face dropped and you cursed under your breath, making Keith emit a light chuckle.
“(Y/N)! How did the da- oh! You brought him home” Your mother spoke up, making her way towards Keith who was standing a few feets behind you.
You smiled awkardly, regretting having invited him in the first place. How could you forget about the exsitance of your own parents.
“So, you are Keith! (Y/N)’s been talking nothing but wonders about you. And let me tell you she was right when she said you were hansome.” your eyes popped out at the sudden confession of your mom, cheeks as red as the sofa from where your dad was standing up.
The boy blushed, looking shyly in your direction. You shrugged; after all, what your mother was saying was true.
Keith and your dad shook hands, and you were surprised that your father was having a smile on his face instead of a frown or a disapproving look like most father’s have when they met their daughter’s date.
“(Y/N), honey, we were waiting for you to come so that the three of us could eat, but now that Keith is here, we should all eat together.” you nodded and smiled, Keith doing the same as you and helped your mother by setting the table up.
Dinner went amazingly. Your parents talking about anecdotes from not so long ago or asking Keith about his life. He told them he was living with his mother and that his father died when he was a kid and how much he loved the stars. Also, that if possible, he would like to study something related to that in the future.
Once everyone finished with their meals, you dragged Keith to you back garden where you laid on you backs while watching the night sky.
“Do you see that constelation over there?” he asked, while pointing up to the sky.
“Yes. What about it?” you said, now sitting up and looking down at him.
“That’s my favorite constellation. My mom used to go away from home a lot to work when I was younger and she told me that everytime I looked up to the sky and saw that constellation, wherever she was, she would be looking at it too; thinking about me while I was thinking about her.” he replied. Still looking up to the stars, but now in the same position as you were. You, in the other hand, were looking at him. The way the light of the moon and stars was displayed on his face and made him look one hundread times better than usual.
And then, he turned to look at you, and found you already looking at him. Your eyes holding so much love and admiration he believed this was all a dream. You looked beautiful; hair falling perfectly, cheeks a little red because of how flustrated you were. You were everything he was looking for and that’s why he started leaning in; you doing the same. Faces inches away from each other, hestitating if it was really the time to do this. Keith decided to take the risk by closing the little gap between the two of you.
His lips were as soft as pillows, and as gentle as the big hoodies you use for sleeping. Your lips, were more than what Keith had imagined; plump and sweet as candy. You both tasted of strawberries, being that what you both had for dessert, making the kiss even better.
It did not take long for your hands to travel from where they were resting in his thighs, up to the back of his head, where his hair was; exploring the mess of soft black locks you had waited to touch for weeks now. He moaned a little in the kiss, loving the feelin of your fingers in his hair while he hugged your waist.
You broke apart with smiles in both of your faces and giggles erupting from both of your throats.
__
The next monday you made it official to your friends, that were then also Keith’s friends.
Things, were great. Keith would take you out on dates every so often, or sit with you in class, he would go to study to your house, which always ended up in making out, or you would even go to his house where you had met his mom. You two would share loving glances or pecks on the lips while walking down the school hallway. He completed you in ways no one will, and you completed him in ways no one could.
That day, was one of those days where the black haired boy and you were making ouy in your room even though he had went to your house to study after the volunteering hours in the kindergarden. It had been a year and a half since you both first met and it was a procedure for him to be there at your house. Your parents were out in one meeting of their work, trusting Keith and you enough to stay home alone.
The heated kiss was leading somewhere you two had never experienced, at least not together, as Keith’s hands were tugging at the end of your shirt wanting it off. That’s when you pulled away from him. This would be your first time, and even though you were comfortable enough with Keith, you were still afraid. Keith noticed this and smiled softly at you.
“Are you sure you want to do this? I can wait for you, as long as you want.” You melted at his words and kiss him softly.
“Yes. I’m sure.” you replied. And after a moment of silence he spoke up.
“I love you, you know” and then kissed you again.
“I love you too” you said in between kisses.
__
The next morning, Keith was no where to be seen. You only had a text message from him telling you that he would meet you at school.
The day went as usual only that that time you would go alone to the kindergarden because he had to go and help his mom with something.
You were there, at the top of the tower in the playground playing with Madi, feeling odd with not having Keith by your side whilst playing with her. When suddenly, the color of Madison’s eyes which you were looking into, turned black again; as the rest of the things that surrounded you. And that’s when you knew something had happened to Keith. The little girl might have noticed the look in your face beacuse she asked what happened.
“Keith” was all you said. “Something happened to Keith.”
And with that you were running towards his house as fast as you have ever run. And were broken to find his mom, crying in her knees with her phone resting on her hand. You approached her, putting your hand on her back. Tears threatening to escape but not yet letting them do so.
When she looked at you, you knew your suspections were right. The broken look in her eyes gave it away; Keith had died. And the color in your life, is now forever lost.

Until I Met You [Keith x Reader]
requested: yes! this was QUITE the thing to write!
pairing: keith kogane x reader
word count: 3438
plot: After 17 years of seeing in black and white, (Y/N) finds her soulmate, Keith, and things become as better as they could have ever been.
warnings: death, some cursing, SLIGHT (seriously is almost nothing, I don’t feel comfortable writting about this stuff hehe) sexual content and the feels man.
You arrived at the museum and catched your breath before entering the enourmous building.
"Keith! Hi! Where you waiting for me for a long time? I'm sorry if I arrived la-"
"No, no. I arrived here two minutes ago. Let's go and make the best out of this." he said, linking his arm with you.
"Oh shit, look at the time. My parents are going to murder me." you said, causing Keith to laugh.
"Let's walk you home then." and with that you left.
__
"Which was your favorite one?" you asked with hopes of creating one of those conversations that delighted you that much.
"mmm I don't think I have a favorite one. Everything was awesome. The colors, techniques. I never thought I would like art that much. What about you? Do you have a favorite one" he answered, clearly showing how much he enjoyed the time you spent there.
"Same as you. Each one of them were so amazing. I couldn't get enough of them! Though I loved the painting with pastel colors the most." You said making emphasis in the word love.
By the end of the conversation you realized you had arrived to your house and were standing at your front porch.
"Do you wanna come in?" you said "After all, none of us had eaten yet".
He smiled. "Sure, yes."
And with that, you opened the door with your keys to find your parents waiting for you by the living room.
Your face dropped and you cursed under your breath, making Keith emit a light chuckle.
"(Y/N)! How did the da- oh! You brought him home" Your mother spoke up, making her way towards Keith who was standing a few feets behind you.
You smiled awkardly, regretting having invited him in the first place. How could you forget about the exsitance of your own parents.
"So, you are Keith! (Y/N)'s been talking nothing but wonders about you. And let me tell you she was right when she said you were hansome." your eyes popped out at the sudden confession of your mom, cheeks as red as the sofa from where your dad was standing up.
The boy blushed, looking shyly in your direction. You shrugged; after all, what your mother was saying was true.
Keith and your dad shook hands, and you were surprised that your father was having a smile on his face instead of a frown or a disapproving look like most father's have when they met their daughter's date.
"(Y/N), honey, we were waiting for you to come so that the three of us could eat, but now that Keith is here, we should all eat together." you nodded and smiled, Keith doing the same as you and helped your mother by setting the table up.
"Do you see that constelation over there?" he asked, while pointing up to the sky.
"Yes. What about it?" you said, now sitting up and looking down at him.
"That's my favorite constellation. My mom used to go away from home a lot to work when I was younger and she told me that everytime I looked up to the sky and saw that constellation, wherever she was, she would be looking at it too; thinking about me while I was thinking about her." he replied.
You were everything he was looking for and that's why he started leaning in; you doing the same.
__
The next monday you made it official to your friends, that were then also Keith's friends.
The heated kiss was leading somewhere you two had never experienced, at least not together, as Keith's hands were tugging at the end of your shirt wanting it off. That's when you pulled away from him. This would be your first time, and even though you were comfortable enough with Keith, you were still afraid. Keith noticed this and smiled softly at you.
"Are you sure you want to do this? I can wait for you, as long as you want." You melted at his words and kiss him softly.
"Yes. I'm sure." you replied. And after a moment of silence he spoke up.
"I love you, you know" and then kissed you again.
"I love you too" you said in between kisses.
When suddenly, the color of Madison's eyes which you were looking into, turned black again; as the rest of the things that surrounded you. And that's when you knew something had happened to Keith. The little girl might have noticed the look in your face beacuse she asked what happened.
"Keith" was all you said. "Something happened to Keith."

Shiro with an over reacting S/O
requested: yess!
So, I think at the beggining he would be shocked.
I mean, he didn’t understand why you were screaming over an anT ON YOUR COMPUTER. like, what?
He would find it really cute though.
Until you threw a glass full of water to scare it away causing your computer to break.
That’s when he decided to put his “super heroe” mode on and hopped in to help.
He would try to calm you down and help you realize that this problems t were not as big as you thought they were.
He would show you, the next times, that ants (or anything for the case) are not harmful or bad and will try to show you the positive aspects of them.
protect this angel
All in all, he is a sweetheart and will not treat you different after this.
On the contrary, he will help you out and will tell you how he faces things when they scare him and will advice you on thinking things before doing them.
He loves you so much and will do anything to help you out.

HCs or imagine for Shiro whose s/o encounteted a relatively small problem (say, ants on their keyboard or computer desk) and they got into this frenzied frantic panicky state and their"solution" would make things a thousand times worse. (like one time i found ants in my keyboard so i tried drowning them in germx and ended up short circuiting it. i couldnt use my computer for a week)
Thank you so much for requesting! I will be posting it now! I don’t know if it’s exactly what you asked (or if I understood correctly) but hope you like it.

Little Heart, Big Love [Shiro x Reader]
pairing: Shiro x Reader
requested: yes! ( @glomp-me this is for you)
plot: You bring a lost little girl to the castle and Shiro and you start to take care of her.
word count: 764
The little girl’s eyes looked straight into yours. Little blue eyes that were asking for you to protect her. She was pleading for your help through her gaze, and you couldn’t do nothing about it. You thought Shiro might not like the idea of having a little girl running around the castle, it would be yet another distraction, but, you decided to take the risk and grab the child’s hands asking her about her family or if there was anyone who was taking care of her. After all, you might have been wrong when you thought the girl was lost. Maybe it was just your brain trying to play games with you by bringing negative thoughts into your mind.
“My Mommy and Daddy left my house a while ago. They didn’t come back home since then.” She spoke up, after asking my questions, looking extreamly broken. You could clearly see that in the way her eyes looked lost, as if she had lost hope of founding her parents a long time ago.
“What’s your name sweetie?” you decided to ask.
“Penny” She replied. Her voice so soft and innocent. You wanted to grab her cheeks gently and give them a light squeeze, but you hold yourself back from doing so.
You standed back up, since you were resting in your knees so that you could face Penny better, and made your way towards the Castle of Lions with one of the child’s handl in one of yours. Thinking about what your boyfrind would have to say about this lost child. Things could go well: he might take care of her as he does with the paladins, or be the father figure she was needing so desperately, or things could go very, very, wrong: having a fight, breaking up...
For your relief, thing went right. It hadn’t been long since you had brought the little girl and Shiro has already fond of her. He would make her laugh, and sing her to sleep, be there when she was sad or ready to fight anyone who made her cry.
At the moment, you were playing with Shiro and her with some little dolls you had bought in a mall a few days ago.
“Okay. It’s time for you to sleep” Shiro said, while bopping Penny’s little button nose.
She pouted at his statement. It was clear she still wanted to play and didn’t want to go to sleep just yet.
“But I’m not tired. At all.” She responded. But her actions showed different to her words as she yawned at the end of her line.
You and Shiro looked at each other; both of you already in love with this little girl.
“Come on. If we go now we’ll both sing you to sleep.” You said. Smiling. You were just so happy: you had always dreamt of raising a child with Shiro. After all, you were sure he was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your lif with.
And he was also happy. Not only with the fact that he felt so loved by this little girl and that he could give her the place she needed to live so bad, but also because he was able to share this wonderful experience with you. Shiro could see how much affection you had towards the girl and how good of a mother you would be if you two ever had a child. He was so proud of you.
When Penny heard your words, she run fast towards her bedroom. Shiro and you laughed at her actions and followed suit, though your legs moved way slower than hers.
Once in her room, Penny made her way under the covers and you both sat at the end of her bed. You sang her a lullaby after he had told her a story about a hero rescuing a princess. Both of you sharing glances while this was happening.
The girl was about to fall asleep. That’s why you kissed her forhead after Shiro had done the same.
“I love you Mommy and Daddy” was all she had to say for your heart to melt. You had never heard someone call you mommy and it was one of the greatest feelings ever. You were about to tear up when Shiro grabbed your hand, because he realized how you were feeling. He was feeling the exact same way.
You both gazed at each other lovingly after having standed there, completely in shock, for a solid couple of minutes.
And, since now, until forever, this little girl, that once was lost and hopeless, would have a family to take care of her.

Cuddling Grins [Hunk Garret x Reader]
pairing: hunk garret x reader
requested: yess
plot: after having a pillow fight with Hunk, you both share your first cuddling session.
word count: 542
Giggles emerged from both of your throats, filling the room with happy sounds. White feathers were floating everywhere and the blankets, that were once tiddily covering the bed, were bundles of cloth dispersed all over the floor.
A pillow hitted your head and you gasped at the sudden contact and, with a laugh, you threw the pillow you were grabbing towards his way; Hunk’s way. You two had a playful and sweet relationship and that’s why it wouldn’t be weird for someone who knew you to walk in while you were having a pillowfight in his room.
Hunk loved moments like this with you: both of you caught up in your own worlds. Words where nothing wrong could happen, where problems did not exist and where the emotions the two of you were feeling were only loving ones.
One thing lead to the other and, after the laughter had died, and you were laying in his bed; smiling to yourself because of how lucky you were. You could have never imagined yourself being so happy with someone so perfect being part of your life.
Suddenly, you felt Hunk move below you. Wait- Below you?
Yes. He was indeed below you. You had been so caught up in your thoughts you haven’t even realized he was under you this whole time. He was just so comfortable and warm you thought you were resting your head in his pillow instead of his chest. Emotions started to kick in: embarrasment, shynnes and nervousness being some of them. You giggled a little bit though, you found funny how this guy made you feel.
He was also in heaven, but he didn’t know how you were feeling about being in that position with him. He didn’t want to push you into anything or cross bondaries, even though he was wishing to stay in that position for the rest of his life. But, when he heard your giggle, all those worries flew away and he relaxed. The way your head was resting in his chest brought nothing bout warm feelings to his heart and he fighted the urge to squeeze the living hell out of you. The boy was blushing so hard, Keith’s lion would envy the color of his cheeks.
You weren’t any better either: your cheeks were blushing as hard, if not even more, as his.
Everything was so flawless but awkard at the same time; after all it was your first time cuddling. You wanted to laugh and giggle but also sleep and rest.
You, then, changed position, resting on your side with Hunk hugging you from behind. Chest pressed to your back while his hand was awkwardly resting on your waist.
Once again, you moved. You weren’t that comfotable in the last position and that’s why you changed it: you were then with your chest againts his back while you cuddled him as if he was a teddy bear.
For the first time in your life you were being able to sleep without your teddy bear as sleepiness had started to kick into your body and you felt your eyes shut.
Hunk was happy. So happy he had always thought he could never feel that way.
And he sighed happily. He was there, with you wrapping your arms around him. Nothing could be better.

Curing The Blind [Matt Holt x Reader]
pairing: Matt Holt x reader
requested: No. Requests are open by the way.
warnings: a little angst hehe
plot: Matt is hoplessly in love with his best friend who constantly comes asking for comfort after her boyfriend has, again, cheated on her.
word count: 1196
[Thank you, once again, @pikilovesstraykids for checking the work before I posted it]
Matt was soothing you, in the bed of his bedroom, again. Combing your hair with one of his hands while the other was holding your crying figure. Your face on his chest was drenching his t-shirt with tears. He was used to it by now.
You would come crying into his house because of your boyfriend, telling him how much you hated him for cheating on you for God knows how many times now, and then, the next day,you were all over him again. Benjamin was the kind of boyfriend that used you only for the times he needed you. He didn't love you, at least not as much as Matt did. But you were clueless to that fact.
Your friends had warned you multiple times: stay away of him, or he is going to hurt you, that's not love (y/n)... but you didn't listen. You were so caught up in your fantasy and wanted to believe everything was perfect since you convinced yourself that he loved you, even when it was not true. You were blind and nobody was being able to open your eyes for your own, and everybody elses, good.
This made Matt's heart shatter. Every time you made an appearence at his house, with messy hair and clothes, cheeks wet and eyes red and puffy because of all the tears that were no longer part of your body, a new hole was made in his heart. But he was tired of comforting you. He was tired of Benjamin not treating you as he should: like a princess. And tired of your obliviousness towards his feeling for you. Matt wanted, more than anything in his life, to be always there for you, to be able to kiss you and hold you not only when you were feeling sad like this past months, but to able to kiss you and show you how much you meant to him every single resting minute of his life
But, instead, you were there, crying and clutching his shirt with your fists as if your life depended on it while you both laid in his bed.
"I don't know what to do anymore Matt" you said in between sobs, "it's as if he really doesn't care about me, but then apologises for what he had done to make it again the next week"
He was so perplexed at your obliviousness that he didn't know what to say anymore. He was about to snap and let all his angered emotions slip away from him but he knew that all you needed was his comfort.
"Let him go (y/n). I think you are now able to realize this boy is not bringing anything more than pity to your life. You know you deserve better." he responded, as calm as he could whilst his hand was playing with the end of your hair.
You knew, at that moment, that he was right. That he had been right all along. But you just didn't want to admit it.
"but, what if I'm actually wrong? what- what if he really loves me and I'm just being selfish by leaving him alone?" you let your thoughts escape your mouth and felt Matt grab your shoulders, gently pulling you away from his chest, so that he could look at into your red puffy eyes.
"For once, listen to me: he. is. not. in. love. with. you. I know is hard for you to let that sink into your heart, as it is to me. You will be letting go a boy who has been part of your life for a big amount of time and I know it's not an easy task. But please, think about yourself and how damaged you are because of him. Don't you realize how broken I am every single day you show up at my door with your face full of tears when it should be a smile resting on your face instead? A boyfriend is supposed to take care of you, to care about you. And he is clearly not doing that. You know how hard it is for everyone around you to see you as broken as you are? Do you know how hard it is for me to see you fake a smile and pretend you are not feeling any pain?" By then, all the tears stopped rolling down your face and you could clearly look into his light brown orbs.
"I know it's selfish of me to say this, but I can't be your friend anymore if this keeps going on like this, especially when I know I can treat you so much better. I want to be more than a friend to you and make you smile. I just- I know I promised to be your friend until the end, but I just can't go on like this anymore, not while you are hurt and I can do nothing about it." Matt finished, letting go a little air he didn't know he was holding.
The boy wasn't holding into your shoulders any more. Instead he was holding both of your tiny hands in his big ones with so much delicacy it made your heart ache. It was the first time in your life a boy had grabbed your hands the way Matt did: as if you were made out of glass and could be shattered with the tiniest scratch. Never in your life a man has ever looked at you so lovingly or seemed to care about you that much. And, most importanly, that was the first time during your life a boy had ever tell you such sweet things.
And suddenly, you felt like a fool, and wanted to cry all over again, though this time wasn't because of Benjamin. How could you been so blind? He was there for you all the time, ready to comfort you whenever you needed it, with no reward. Letting you cry disconsolately during all the time you needed while drenching countless of t-shirts and hoodies in the process
All he wanted to do was make you happy and you weren't able to see that until that day. There were so many thoughts going through your head, so many things you wanted to say to him. But, alternatively, you pressed your lips on his, deciding that the only way you could show him how you were feeling at that moment, was through actions.
It didn't take much time for him to kiss you back and enjoy what he was waiting for so long. Your lips molded perfectly with his and moved in sync like a beautiful symphony. This kiss was nothing compared to the ones you had shared with Benjamin days ago. You could feel the love and affection irradiating from the boy infront of you. He wasn't pushing you into anything either, as it was slow and soft.
But that didn't last for long. As he pulled away, looked at you, and kissed you again after recovering his breath. He hesitantly rested his hands below your thighs indicating you to sit on his lap. The kiss was not needy or rushed but was more passionate than the first one you two had shared. Everything was perfect. And after a while he pulled away.
"Thank you" you said, as you hugged him.
He smiled, after all, you were now his to treat as right as he thought you should be.

Coffee Lies [Keith Kogane x Reader]
pairing: Keith Kogane x reader
requested: yess
plot: Keith goes to the same coffee shop, ordering an expresso with extra sugar and cream every time. But, that day, he wanted to impress you so he decided to order a black coffee even though he didn't like it.
[Thanks @pikilovesstraykids for the help and support]
word count: 1068
The bell rings, indicating that another costumer had made it's way into the coffee shop; Mable's Coffes, name earned from the mother of your boss: first owner of this little shop.
You were a barista there for long enough for daily costumers to recognize you. They would usually smile your way or engage in a conversation with you every time they walked past you or saw you serving someone else in the shop.
It was Saturday, and your shift was in the afternoon, which meant that a lot of work was ahead of you.
As you heard the bell, you looked upwards to found Keith Kogane, boy who came very often to the shop ordering the same coffee every time he decided to make an appearence, making his way toward that small table located in the back corner of the place.
It was common for everyone to found him there waiting for you to take his order: an expresso with extra cream and sugar in it. You, sometimes, didn’t even went to ask him if it was going to be that what he was planning on orderning, or not, and directly prepared it. And, when that happened, you would have a little more time to share a conversation with him due to the speed the coffee was done. Coversations that were the highlights of your day because, every time they happened, he would smile so bright your heart would stop dead in it’s tracks and your cheeks would go red because of that majestic piece of art.
You scrubbed your hands on the stripped, white and light blue apron, that was hugging your waist, before walking towards the table where the black haired boy was sitting. He was wearing his usual black t-shirt with an unbottoned plaid shirt on top of it. Maybe it was the way he looked so perfect sitting there looking through the window, or the way the sun hitted him flawlessly, that made your hands start to sweat. You didn’t understand how some people were just so handsome.
Keith hated coffee, he only came so that he could see you again after that first met when Lance had invited the whole team there to make a catch-up on the things that had been going on in their lives. Ever since that day (ever since he saw you) he came daily into the coffee shop. Of course you didn’t have to know that he didn’t like coffee because, How in the world would a barista fall for someone who didn’t like coffee?
He has learned, through conversations, that you went to the shop on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the morning, and on Mondays and Saturdays during the afternoon. He also knew that you were studying desing in Stanford University, that you were living with your two best friends in a small apartment near that shop and that you usually went to babysit your cousins at night. Yeah, he rememers it all.
The boy was in love with you: from the way your hair looked perfect in that messy bun of yours to the way your smile could light up everybody’s day.
That’s why he thought it was a good idea this time to to order a dark coffee with only a little amount of sugar instead of that expresso full of cream and sugar that he was slowly starting to get used to. So, when you asked what was he going to ask for, anticipating his daily drink, you were startled with his answer.
Keith Kogane? Asking for a dark coffee? What?
Nevertheles you decided not to question him about it and wrote down, in the little notebook you were given, his order.
On your way back to the kitchen you couldn’t help but think about what had just happened. Sure, it was a small change, but it was so unusual coming from Keith that it made you uneasy
Once the coffee was done, you lay the cup in the black oval tray and headed back to the spot where the tall handsome boy was sitting.
“There you go” you said, putting the drink on the table. And sitting on front of your friend.
Keith just stared at the coffee, and then looked up at you. He knew he would have to drink it but never thought you were going to be there, watching him, while he made a fool of himself revealing the white lie he was able to keep for so long.
You were confused. He asked you for a black coffee and now he wasn’t even drinking it?
“Is everything okay?” you asked, gaze full of questions; looking for answers in his eyes.
No. “Yes” he decided to say while his hands grabbed the cup that was almost abandoned in the middle of that table of wood.
As he was about to put the cup in betwen his lips, he had enough, so he put it back where it was. He had been so stupid when he ordered something he knew he wasn’t going to be able to drink.
You look at him confused: one eye brow up while your mouth was almost in a pout. He took this as a question and answered.
“It’s just that I don’t really like coffee” he looked at you so that he could take a look at your actions, but, when he saw how much more confused you were, he continued.
“I never had, and never will. I was just trying to impress you, you know? You are a barista and I never thought that you would like someone who didn’t like coffee so I asked mine with extra sugar and cream to hide the strong flavour of it. At least just a little. But I tried to be brave today, and it all went wrong. I’m so stupid” the last thing he said was in a mere whisper and you almost didn’t hear it.
However, you were impressed. He had drank coffee during all this time because of you even though he didn’t like it? What a sweetheart. But, wait, he actually did like you back!
“You are so sweet! You didn’t have to do that though. I like you for who you are, not for what you drink goofus.” you said grabbing his hand. And he smiled, giving your hand a slight squeez.
And after that day, Keith didn’t go to the coffee shop anymore to ask for a drink he didn’t like. He went just to light your day up.
