When you picture two brothers and their little sister, “musical powerhouse” is probably the last mental image to come to mind. However, Delphi (18), James (22), and Luke (23) are all that and more! The three grew up in a San Francisco Bay Area home with musical parents and a musical environment, where the musical instruments were the surroundings, outnumbering the furniture. This and more would come to dramatically influence their upbringing, young adulthood, and, eventually, their band. At the tender age of thirteen, Delphi started writing her own music. A short while later, in 2014 at age fifteen, she had created enough material to take to the streets of San Francisco, busking for tips on high-traffic corners, and in popular areas such as Union Square and Ghirardelli Square. One year later, she began collaborating with her older brothers, Luke and James. These siblings are truly musicians, and have been so for most of their lives. They were members of the Napa Valley Youth Symphony in high school, and took private music lessons from childhood through their teens. Delphi, James, and Luke are multitalented and their abilities are pronounced and well exhibited in this band through vocals, piano, and violin, everyone contributing equally to create their signature sound. Outside of making the music, everyone has their own role as well. The extensive music background, audio engineering education, and production skill set of Luke and James, combined with Delphi’s skill and passion for writing music, make this trio a self-contained development, production, and performance machine. In 2016, after a successful initial collaboration for Luke’s and James’s final projects at SAE-Expressions Audio Engineering Trade School in San Francisco and Emeryville, CA, the band began their first fan-funded EP project, which they named "Who Am I?" This EP later evolved into a thirteen-track album, “Audio Cinema.” This original album features drummer, Donny Baldwin, and pianist, Chris Smit...

“We self-produced this 80’s MTV-inspired, Tom Petty-esque music video. A casual hike into the woods leads me into an abandoned clubhouse, the sound of my own music drawing me deeper into the mystery of self-awareness. “Going Down” just might mean going up…who knows, you’ll have to watch the video to draw your own conclusion.”

Bay-Area sibling trio Delphi Freeman have been making waves with their debut album Audio Cinema. The album was co-produced by the trio, OwlCove Productions, and Jefferson Starship’s production manager, Lewis Robertson. Today we’re excited to premiere their new video for “Going Down.” The video showcases a passion for videography and a style that perfectly suits the song and creates a compelling atmosphere. We’re also willing to bet you’ll have the song stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
