If you look at the beginning notes of the first chapter of The Shadows Move, you’ll see I had no idea if it was gonna be more than just one chapter

I personally loved it!

Barb wanted to unite every troll kind just like they used to be but the only way she saw she could do that was to turn everyone into one genre, and she chose hers because she was familiar with it

But in the end, she learned that there’s a reason everyone is different, and that being different is a lot better than everyone being the same

It really drives home the lesson that being different is good and to accept people for who they are, and not to judge based on looks

Also Branch and Poppy canonically started dating and that’s adorable so-
