I think the funniest thing that happened during mine and my drunk friend's run of chapter 3 was my friend saying that the Elnina, Lanino, and Starwalker polycule was Krusielle foreshadowing because both groups are composed of: a she/they lesbian, a she/he pansexual, and the crazy-ass they/them gremlin they met behind a gas station

It's so funny and weird that the recruiting mechanic is just us bringing abandoned stuff around the town to the school's closet. By the end of chapter 7 we'll have a whole bunker in there

I have a weird problem where i keep accidentally misgendering kris or using incorrect pronouns for them, i do believe and recognize that theyre nonbinary but sometimes my mind just slips and ill call them "he" by accident, i just wish i was better at properly gendering them sometimes because theyre my favorite character and i feel bad whenever i do
Don’t feel so bad! It’s an honest mistake and at the very least you’re trying to correct yourself.

Ok I'm gonna use this askbox to gush about some things that I loved about ch3 is that ok? Ok cool. Spoilers abound!
-ch3 shows a lot of progress in deltarune on a technical level right from the get-go. When Susie and Ralsei's dialogue started playing while you're walking, without doing the undertale and deltarune1&2 thing of pausing for a cutscene everytime someone starts speaking, I went "DAMN!!" out loud to myself like a goofy idiot. It makes some scenes feel a lot more natural and really makes the pacing of the chapter flow better imo. Small detail but makes all the difference. And the chapter continues to show a technical improvement from previous chapters without being jarring!
-Tenna is a genuinely good antagonist during chapter 3, but the whole TV world cast is so so charming!! Obviously I'm partial to the shadowguys (because look at them those are perfect designs) but every enemy is so full of personality, I would say even more than previous chapters. There's so much charm and polish to them. Love them to bits mwah mwah. Also RAMBBBB RAMBBBB MY BELOVED literally what's wrong with him. I love him.
-Speaking of charm and polish, the sneaking scene where the TV world enemies joined the team one by one so everyone's just walking in a big group is genuinely my favorite part of the chapter. It truly was only there for personality and flavor, but it was the scene that made me really conclude that yeah this chapter is awesome. I could gush about it for hours. Their little animations. Ugh.
-I like that ch3 didn't have a Hometown session at all, like we as the player had very little control over how it began and ended. It starts with Kris having opened the fountain and ends with the Knight appearing and Undyne in the bunker -- within the chapter itself the adventure is normal, but everything surrounding it is knocking the player off their feet and breaking expectations. Feels like the beginning of a turning point that gets realized fully on chapter 4.
-as much as I got my ass thoroughly and embarrassingly kicked by the Knight, it's so exciting to see their first appearance and finally have a face to the title. And their design is So Cool!!! We've got theory fodder for a while, and a lot of discussion coming up, all because of the little details in that fight. Kris doing less damage to the Knight is my personal favorite detail, but there's the Swooning and the horns and the sword and the animations and ugh. It's incredible I love it
-every chapter, KSR act more and more like friends rather than just allies - though I do think Kris has a bit more focus on chapter 4 than 3, Susie and Ralsei's relationship gets really boosted on 3 (building up for more development later) and it's so good to see Susie come out of her shell while Ralsei slowly learns to want things for himself. Genuinely good character writing.
-I never wanted to redo a fight over and over as much as the Tenna fight. WarioWare? WARIOWARE?!?!?! I FUCKING LOVE WARIOWARE DUDE THAT FIGHT WAS SO GOOD
In conclusion: good chapter. Nice job DR team. I love tv deltarune.
I'm sorry mod for flooding your inbox. Chapter 4 gushing could be incoming soon as well LOL
No Idm it at all, it’s good to see happy confessions!

In russian, 'divorce' translates to 'развод' which also means 'scam' and I think it's funny as hell considering Spamton's status as the divorce mascot. Повелитель развода, if you will

I know this is kind of a weird confession, but as a transmasc with BPD, it always bothered me that people treat BPD as a feminine/womanly disorder, so seeing so many people interpret Tenna as having BPD while still being a guy is nice.

Do you take poll requests? There’s a thing I really wanna poll but I fear it may be controversial. The poll goes as follows:
Like just text anywhere, or this confession itself: Just want to preface that I don’t care about the whole “well you’re not REALLY enby you’re what you physically are!” Because that’s literally not the point of this. I wanna know how people see Kris from a narrative and character standpoint, because I do believe that your assigned gender at birth CAN impact your non-binary experience.
Title: So we all know Kris is non-binary, however what do you personally think they were assigned at birth?
Option 1: AMAB
Option 2: AFAB
Option 3: Some variation of intersex
Maybe not

I hear the people when they say "Ralsei looks too much like the Dreemurrs and thus I think it's weird to ship them", I personally don't ship the two for this exact reason. But I would like to point out what I see in Toby Fox's character designs.
Yes Ralsei looks like the Dreemurrs, and it's a very intentional choice to make him as such. But I don't think it's for the reason we think: ie *literally* being related to the Dreemurrs. Because Toby uses same species designs to indicate non-related connections too. Or at least not direct sibling relations.
Toriel and Asgore look like each other, but they are not designed that way to imply they're related to each other, but imply that they're related to Asriel. The same with the Holiday family and Catti's family. Pretty much anytime you see a family with children, the whole family is the same species and both the parents are designed to resemble their children. The only exception being the humans that are adopted into the Dreemurr family.
I don't think Ralsei was intended to literally be related to the Dreemurrs, but he is intentionally designed after them and that's going to serve a narrative purpose. I feel like Toby threw out the idea that he had some connection to Asriel on the bases of looks, but also thew us with the idea that Ralsei resembles Toriel, and that's not something I see a lot of people talk about. How Ralsei and Toriel have connections or parallel each other.

I personally hate this "good vs bad" thing that everyone's obsessed with. I think we need to deconstruct this binary way of thinking. Nothing is truly "good" and nothing is truly "bad". Good people can do bad things, and bad people can do good things. Good people hurt others, bad people help others. When a good person hurts someone, that doesn't negate all the help they've done, and when a bad person helps someone, that doesn't negate all the pain they've caused. To think that someone is a good or bad whatever is not a good way to discuss anything and largely ignores a good portion of a person's being.
I mainly bring this up because of the Toriel confessions (not just the recent one, but all of them). But honestly this applies to literally everything everywhere.

both toriel and asgore are pretty mediocre-at-best parents. theyre okay at some aspects, and the kids being in toriel's custody is definitely better from a "she can actually manage money" standpoint, but like. you dont have to be abusive to be bad at being a parent, and being a bad parent doesnt mean you're a bad person overall, either.

Shouting into the void here:
hi everyone who insists anyone who's had alcoholic parents has the same view on toriel, i had two
and quite frankly i do not think she's an alcoholic or even a recovering one
we have had no indication that she uses alcohol to cope or consumes it regularly, if anything her getting very drunk with sans can indicate she has a lighter tolerance. it would be a very bizzare writing choice to imply toriel is an alcoholic in this manner given the weight of other serious topics in this game, let alone in a manner that is this ambiguous
i think her being so comfortable around sans she trusts him like this and it's meant to be a kind of silly scene where she didn't think anything was wrong and her being kind of neglectful are two things that can be true
the way kris is parented does definitely show here-- not in the alcohol.
kris had their parents argue so loud it traumatized the fucking tv. the way kris deals with things is usually not to or not directly. toriel has not spoken to kris about everything, perhaps thinking she is not burdening kris, but only making them further unable to talk about things
hypothetically speaking, if kris went downstairs and told sans and toriel to quiet down, i imagine they would-- however, kris grew up in an environment where from what i can tell, talking to their parents is difficult. so of course they resort to just ignoring it.
there's things wrong with kris's upbringing and how they were failed, pulling at very circumstantial and downright made up 'evidence' that toriel is an alcoholic isn't one of them
now people have said that because of their trauma they have a right to project this... i suppose? but it doesn't over write the text of the game. i do find it a bit worrying if your trauma is so severe that you see a character get very drunk and immediately assume they're an alcoholic. i sympathize with people's struggles but also i see a lot of bitter projection going on. do what you will but it doesn't seem healthy for yourself or the discussion going on:
because instead of navigating text people now have to navigate not 'invalidating trauma', because people take 'disagreeing toriel is an alcoholic = you don't take people who have alcoholic parents serious'
i also feel like people who have had this trauma who disagree get shoved to the side-- I'm on anon because i don't want to fucking divulge my backstory to win a media argument about a goat woman on the internet but everyone who has just freely given out that information makes it very clear disagreeing with them carries the risk of being seen as disregarding their trauma
i feel like as someone who has this trauma suddenly i 'don't get it'. suddenly I'm not included in the group who 'does get it'
even if no one's meaning to, the message becomes starkly clear that I'm not 'allowed' to use my experiences to analyze the text in the same way others are. other than me not wanting to divulge my experiences to win a media argument-- i have a very real concern that people would come out of the woodwork to downplay what i went through, all over media discourse
and yes, hypothetically insisting i can't speak for 'everyone with this trauma' when that's all I've been seeing with these takes is, intentional or not, invalidating. it doesn't entirely feel like people would say my trauma didn't happen but the vibe i get is I'm not allowed to disagree with people also using my trauma to be on a level playing field like other people are. my take is invalid because i didn't see the scene as negative
