The Plot
Welcome to Skaia! What was once a bustling, prosperous metropolis is now in a state of constant fear and ruin. This, shockingly, isn’t due to the human population that lives there. It belongs to a population that isn’t of this world. In fact, it belongs to those who live… a little bit lower. Demonic creatures are running amok through the streets! These hellish entities are organized, fierce, and dangerous. Gangs are being formed, lives are being lost, and terror grips the city all due to one thing: Becquerel’s Horn. This enchanted instrument can summon mythical beings: The Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse. Under the horn’s song, these powerful knights of plague and death listen to whoever called them… and who ever they listen to could reshape the universe into their own image. The holder of the horn could destroy and rebuild as they pleased! Yet, it remains hidden… lost within the labyrinth of streets and concrete that make up the sprawling city of Skaia. Where exactly it lay is unknown… but what is known is that the city was the final resting place Becquerel. This information is newly discovered due to the angels unearthing the ancient beings journals. The supernatural creatures that now roam the streets are desperate to find it, yearning for a power that they do not deserve. Thankfully, the local human populace has no idea that the gang activity is being perpetrated by demons and angels… but even so… something is obviously wrong.
Two powerful and devilish gangs have taken hold of the city. The Ignis Inferi who reside to the west and Draco Spiritu to the East. The worst of the worst inhabit these hellish groups; from demons hungry for blood to those who just wish for power. Their monstrous appetite for death and destruction has attracted the attention of those of a more holy persuasion. Angels have come to bring a halt to these uproarious actions… yet, even the angelic can feel greed. Some have begun searching for the horn as well! All of this paranormal activity has drawn many mortals who desire to eradicate all supernatural life from the world. Hunters of demons, angels, and of all that lay between are now entering the city. Chaos ensues. Nobody knows who to trust! Who is friend and who is foe? Will the forces of good be able to get the horn before the unsavory grasp it in their clutches? And, above all…

The Rules
General Server Rules
- Be kind and courteous to your fellow members. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
- There is a three strike system in place. After three strikes, you will be permanently banned from the server. No ifs, ands, or buts about it!
- This is an 18+ rp server. If you are discovered to be underage, you will be immediately removed.
- Please avoid controversial topics and discourse. This includes topics that may have; transphobia, homophobia, racism, political stances, etc.
- If you would like to invite a friend, refer them to the tumblr page.
- If you are inactive for a week with no previously mentioned excuse, you will receive a warning. If you continue to be inactive, you will be kicked and your characters will be up for grabs.
- Please make sure to read the room descriptions!
- Have fun!
Applications
- You must fill out the entire application sheet, unless the items on the sheet does not apply to your character.
- If you are applying for two muses, please submit both applications within the same post!
- If you are fearful your character will be taken, you may reserve it! Head on over HERE and give us your name, pronouns, discord handle/tumblr and the character you wish to reserve. It will only be reserved for 24 hours from the time we received your message, and you may only reserve once more after that!
- We will be a lot more selective with the more popular characters!
- Characters who do have definitive personalities (Ancestors, Guardians, The Felt, ect) are allowed to have personalities you (and the mods) deem fit for the character. Make sure it lines up with canon, and that they have some spark to them!
- Hiveswap characters are allowed!
- Sprites cannot be chosen as characters solely for the fact that they are far too similar to characters that are already established.
- You may not take two beta trolls or kids as you characters, due to their popularity. Same goes for the alpha kids and trolls. You may have one beta troll and one alpha troll, but not two of the same.

Roleplay Rules
- There is a two character limit. Your two characters can not be directly related. I.E, you can not be Dave and Dirk. However you can be two trolls of the same blood caste, for example you could be Gamzee and Chahut (as they are not directly related.) - Characters related via Homestuck canon (ie: an aged up Kid with their/a Guardian) cannot be romantically-connected. In simplest terms: no incest, even if you choose not to have them related in this particular AU. - We are ignoring The Epilogues since the timelines diverge, so it is not the best source to be taken from for your character. - Trans head canons are allowed, but your character must present as the gender they are in the original canon! - Within the realm of Demonstuck; it is expected for characters to be powerful and all-knowing. Just don't take this to the levels of where you character is god-like and cannot be hurt. Everyone can die, everyone can be hurt. They can have strengths and weaknesses, but don't make them impervious. - In the event of a serious fight, understand your character's limits. It is advised you discuss beforehand if you are okay with a character being injured, especially if it is a permanent injury. Permission is needed before any sort of severe occurrence. - Following this, do not presume your character is all-powerful. Every character has weaknesses, as stated before, even as a demon/angel (ie: iron, salt, holy water, etc). Hunters will know how to deal with demons/angels. Demons/angels will be resilient against normal methods of violence (ie: hitting them with your car). Your character may be strong, but they are not gods. - All characters must be above the age of 18 years old! - If you would like to drop a character, you must notify a moderator and reapply for what ever new character you may or may not be taking up! You can't consistently pick up and drop characters. It will be taken note of whenever you switch. - The general public recognizes that there has been a crime wave (with the gang activity), but do NOT know that angels and demons exist. - Angels and demons should not reveal what they are to large groups of people (i.e, public forums), unless they want to get; laughed at, ridiculed, or get actual hunters on them. - Hunters CAN be demons or angels, but you must have an explanation in story for this. - NO HALF-BREEDS. There are no half demons or half angels. Humans can have demonic or angelic ancestry, or one of their parents could even be a one! This does not give them powers or make them strange. They are either born a demon, angel, or a human. End of story.
- There are only TWELVE slots total for Archangels/Archdemons. The current number is 2/12.

The Aspects, Virtues, and Sins
A brief overlook of the various Aspects a Seraphim or Infernal might possess, and some examples of potential abilities they grant. Humans, Cherubs and Concubi can also be more mentally attuned (or drawn) to a certain aspect, unable to tap into it, but somewhat resistant. SPACE: Those defined by space tend to be patient, with a grasp on the bigger picture. These powers deal with the physical aspects of the universe, and it is common for those with this aspect to be able to manipulate the matter around them. This can manifest in forms like telekinesis or transmutation, though they are limited in the scope of their abilities, as using their powers requires a great deal of stamina.Archangels have more powerful abilities, being the original crafters of the universe as architects of stars and other celestial bodies, while their unholy counterpart - the (arch)demons - exists solely to ruin what they have created. They defy the laws of the universe, and may exude control over kinematics or gravity. TIME: Angels and demons of time tend to be aggressive or impatient, though their powers are some of the most varied out of all of the aspects. They might be able to peer into the future, see the past of objects and people, or even pause time within a short radius of themselves, though doing so can cause drastic physical physical fatigue.An archangel might have the additional ability to accelerate or decelerate events according to need. Whilst to them, they perceive things as being normal and are able to move around just fine, the very world around them would be moving to a different beat. An archdemon on the other hand might just be able to “skip” certain things entirely (like someone talking or moving from point A to point B) or rewind recent events to manipulate a more favorable outcome. Well, to them, anyway. MIND: Angels of the mind could have their powers manifest in ways such as being able to heal mental rifts, peer through memories, and bring back that which has been forgotten. Meanwhile, demons would do almost the opposite; disrupting a person’s mind, making it difficult for them to think or focus, as well as they locking away a memory and cause them to forget important events (or people).An archangel on the other hand could link together the minds of others, causing shared dreams, or a temporarily synchronized consciousness. In some cases, this ability has allowed parties to feel what others do both physically and emotionally, whilst through a demon’s intervention a mind could be separated from its body entirely, leaving it a husk. HEART: Power over the heart (or soul) manifests itself in the form of being able to sense the intentions or feelings of those around them. Though it might not be perfectly accurate, they can look into others and determine if their acts are fueled by sin or virtue. This ability is shared by both the angels or demons, though angels tend to be more accurate and insightful with righteous souls, and demons with the sinful.The archangel and archdemon of heart are among some of the most powerful. Although this power does not come in the form of a combative ability, instead it is from their role; They are the only angels and demons that are capable of transforming a mortal into one of their own kind. With archangels of heart being able to purify the souls of mortals, and allowing them to transcend into an angel. Meanwhile, an archdemon of heart would be able to corrupt a soul, and transform a human into a demon. HOPE: Angels of hope manipulate their own holy energy. In the metaphorical sense of their powers, can inspire and strengthen faith, while also able to turn on the offensive by creating beams of concentrated light. A demon of hope may seem like an oxymoron, however they can use their aspect to deal with it’s own destruction, or use it to reinforce themselves rather than strengthen others.An archangel of hope could have a similar ability to that of a normal angel, except on a much larger scale. They are capable of affecting a mass of people around them, imbuing them with whatever conviction they want them to have. It’s these archangels who are used as messengers, as it is hard to say no to a being capable of making you believe you want to listen.Their archdemon variant though may just be one of the most terrifying things you could be faced with. As they do not just make a person feel lost, they completely destroy them. They are capable of making even the most devout person question their own convictions, in some cases even causing them to become angry and hate what they once believed in. RAGE: This aspect’s name may be deceiving, as it actually has little to do with the emotion itself. Rather, it focuses on instinct. An angel of rage would have the ability to empower instincts and senses, causing their fight or flight response to kick in with a boost of stamina or strength. These angels may be referred to as Guardians, as they grant their subject the boost they need to survive - whilst demons do the opposite and they break them down for fuel to empower themselves instead.Archangels of Rage intervene as a last resort, and are protectors of humans. They are capable of temporarily spreading their own resilience to a group of humans, possibly strengthening small armies while rendering themselves vulnerable. They are natural commanders, as they inspire strength amongst those around them, whilst archdemons nurture fear and chaos. BREATH: Breath is much less of a standard aspect, and is more of an experience. It is defined by freedom and existence outside boundaries; Seraphim and Infernals are able to free themselves and others from their physical forms, becoming light or completely intangible, and able to pass through barriers with ease. The aspect is attuned to wind, and as such those channeling it may take flight with greater ease.The Archangel of Breath is the emancipator, the breaker of chains. They are said to control the storms, and are historically the one that comes down to save people from great injustice. Their power over the wind is both physical, and metaphorical. They are capable of changing fate, freeing people from the paths they are going down. They are also capable of sprouting new life, and accelerating the growth of plants and animals. Demons of the aspect are the destroyers, only capable of absorption, leaving corruption, shriveled up corpses or wilted plants in their wake.The Archangels are bringers of life. They are capable of influencing the creation or evolution of plants and animals. These angels are the guardians of life itself, and their height, they may even be able to resurrect a mortal after death. Though death may be the antithesis of life, however it is not the worst thing you can do to it, which is the mindset by which the powers of an Archdemon of Life are formed. They are the corruptors of life, bringing on damnation to the Earth. These demons are able to force their demonic energy into living creatures, turning them into warped beasts and thralls to their will. DOOM: Angels of Doom are also known as Angels of Death, and are the ones who bring the righteous dead to Prospi, thus they have a sense for when death - or near death - is about to occur. Demons of Death are actually not so different to their angelic counterparts, as they share a similar purpose. They are the gatherers of the damned, and are the ones who drag sinners down to Derse when their time on the mortal plane is up.The Archangel of Doom is the great spirit of death. This is the angel that is meant as the bringer of Death, and acts as the channel of justice for Prospit. When a disaster strikes, it is this angel that comes to reap the souls of the many. The Archangel of Doom is also said to be the protector of those who have experienced great loss, and is capable of allowing people to speak to the dead. The Archdemon meanwhile is the one who keeps the damned in hell. They are the guardian to the gates of Hell, and ensure that humans stay in Derse. If a human were somehow able to escape to Earth, then this Archdemon would hunt them down relentlessly. Often bringing great disasters with them, such as massive natural disasters which cause the losses of thousands of lives. LIGHT: Angels of Light are blessed with knowledge, though that does not mean they know everything. They are capable of learning with great ease, and may have have flawless memories. With this power, they are also capable of bestowing what they know upon others. Of course, their more interesting power is being able to allow humans to see Angels and Demons for what they really are, enlightening them to the world of the arcane, albeit only temporarily.Demons of Light are similar in that they deal with forbidden knowledge. They are cheaters, hustlers and natural gamblers. Essentially, they know the street smarts rather than book smarts, and use their knowledge for mischief. This is often viewed as them having incredible “luck” when in truth, their actions are quite calculated.The Archangel or archdemon of Light are great observers. Though they too do not have infinite knowledge, they may know of many things going on in the world at any time. This being works closely with others, telling them what they need to know in order to fulfill their purpose, or how to exploit the weaknesses in order to foil their enemies. VOID: The representation of absence. Seraphim of Void are capable of obscuring information and making others forget or involuntarily avoid places, objects and people. They are considered ideal for safekeeping artifacts for this reason, but can just as easily steal them for themselves, and demons in particular might use the void to cloak themselves or create a temporary pocket void into which they can retreat.Archangels of Void can be keepers of great secrets, prone to knowledge others aren’t, and potentially capable of deleting something from existence itself. Ironically, they’re inclined to use their aspect to destroy, whilst their demonic counterparts are the ones to use it for creation - though their makings tend to take the form of dark and horrifying terrors. Concubi and Cherubs are unlike other classes of angels or demons in the way that their abilities work; They feed on and draw power from others through manipulating sins, virtues and emotions, of which they typically specialize in one. CHASTITY: Chastity is defined as being sparse - or even completely refraining from - drinking, smoking, having sexual relationships or engaging in other “impure” behaviors. A cherub of this virtue would at best just encourage caution in their subject, and at worst paranoia or desire for excessive control over other people’s actions. LUST: Lust is the stark opposite of chastity, encouraging over-indulgence in things like narcotic substances or carnal pleasures. A concubus of lust would inspire immense passion or desire in its prey, potentially causing rampant cravings or obsessions that can be damaging to oneself and difficult to control. TEMPERANCE: Temperance in this sense is about personal restraint; Those who might have previously been prone to impulse could be granted more control or caution, though the influence of this virtue can also lead to abstaining from doing things entirely and becoming forcibly passive even in situations where an action is required. GLUTTONY: Gluttony is partaking in (or devouring) material pleasures - specifically more than you actually need, and often at the expense of those who do. This may include eating, drinking, hoarding, or indulging in other pleasing activities to the point of excess, making victims prone to addiction and obsession. CHARITY: Charity is the free sharing of the things you have in your life to others who don’t. When a cherub of charity influences others, they will lessen their feelings of attachment to things (both material and otherwise) and find it easier to part with them, sometimes giving more than they actually have and experiencing difficulty saying no when faced with a request. GREED: Greed is inherently selfish, and in contrast to Charity, when this is brought out in a person they will become attached to the point of obsession with the things or people in their lives. Guarding what they own, and working harder to get whatever they want, experiencing a need for gain that can’t be quelled. DILIGENCE: Those blessed with diligence are hard workers, fueled by determination and incredibly focused on whatever they set their mind to. Through the influence of a cherub they become persistent, difficult to dissuade from the paths they’re set onto, even at the cost of their own health - or that of those around them, if they stand in the way. SLOTH: Sloth is the disinclination of doing activities, even those you once held dear. A concubus will cause a person to become incredibly lazy, and lose interest in their jobs, hobbies, or relationships. Their attitudes grow relaxed and apathetic, while they spend much of their day sleeping or mindlessly indulge in vices. PATIENCE: Patience is the ability to wait, endure pain, and the ability to forgive the transgressions of others. A cherub blessing a human with this virtue would grant them the ability to withstand the challenging situations they are put in, ignoring personal suffering, as well as pardoning people whom they normally would not be able (or want) to forgive. WRATH: Wrath is the embodiment of anger itself, and those who are unfortunate enough to deal with a concubus of wrath will find themselves becoming quite enraged in turn. Whilst some could channel the aggression into passion, victims are more likely to be short-tempered, bad mannered and prone to lashing out both physically and emotionally. KINDNESS: This is the virtue of compassion and consideration. Those blessed with this aspect become far more welcoming to friends and strangers (sometimes enemies) alike, noticeably affectionate, and understanding to a fault. Too easily, this can turn to smothering their friends and family whilst adopting a forced, unnatural cheeriness. ENVY: Envy is all about wanting what others have and - usually - what you can’t. Concubi of envy will cause others to become spiteful and jealous of those around them, growing irritable, defensive and at times even aggressive. If there’s something they’re unable to get their hands on (an item, a relationship, a status, etc), they might try to make others lose theirs - because if they can’t have it, no one can. HUMILITY: Excessive humility is the lack or diminishing of self, and those blessed with it will care less about their own needs, desires, and contributions, whilst more about that of those around them. They may do all they can to support the people around them, whilst growing depressed and neglecting themselves to potentially alarming degrees. PRIDE: The sin is arguably one of the most dangerous sins, and one other angelic beings in particular are prone to falling victim to. Those who have this drawn out of them can grow from confident to self-centered to incredibly narcissistic. They will do whatever they please, and be highly defensive about their own self-worth, growing impulsive and trying to achieve personal goals through means they normally wouldn’t.

Our Story Begins...
In the beginning there was nothing, only a veil of darkness across the cosmos. Then, a light broke the darkness and creation began; First were the angels, meant to help propagate creation. They spread out across the universe, filling in the void, and once their job was done, they congregated to discover a home had sprung from their place of origin. It was Prospit (‘Heaven’ to humans), and it was there they then resided for millions of years. During this time where they became more independent, naming and dividing themselves among their own ranks. The highest were the Archangels, those created first. They were the eldest and most powerful, though not all was good among them. Since they did not know their own creator, some believed themselves the rightful rulers of the universe, two such Archangels being Vulnus - the creator of space - and Calmasis, the creator of time. The two were as brothers, and together, they agreed pledged to assume control over both Prospit and the universe. The flaw in their plan, however, was that they did not have one in the first place: Vulnus wanted to draw people to his side, working his way up in a peaceful manner. Calmasis on the other hand was quite impatient (despite having created time), and thought they could wage war against their brethren for power. When they could not agree, they parted, and eventually clashed. This war became known as The Scratch, nearly splitting the skies in two as just short of half of the angels joined the side of Vulnus in protecting Prospit against Calmasis, who lead the other half to take over by force. By far the bloodiest feud ever known, claiming the lives of nearly all living angels, and lasting nearly a millennium before Vulnus was declared victorious.
Calmasis - and his surviving followers - were banished to a new realm named Derse (‘Hell’ to humans), as Vulnus took the new name “Doctor Scratch” and Calmasis became “Lord English”.
Post-Scratch
Following some time after the war, a new creation was discovered, one not made by the angels: The solar system, and in it a funky little planet called Earth, resembling both Prospit and Derse. Populated by small, mortal creatures which eventually evolved into humans, these beings possess something the angels (and the fallen ones, now demons) do not. Souls that can - upon death - move on to enter the realms of heaven or hell. --And, on rare occasions, be reborn.
How To Change
Humans who are especially righteous or sinful may become an angel or demon, without retaining any memories of their previous life - though death is not the only way for a human to undergo such change. Because of this curious nature and the mass loss of life in the Scratch, mankind drew the interest of their supernatural neighbors, and occasionally there are those changed directly by the hand of an archangel (or Archdemon), granted greater power and claim of their memories in exchange for eternal loyalty and servitude.
Other?
Due to the The Scratch, irreparable damage was done to space-time. This damage, known as “The Crack” has left it’s echoes through the ages; It is due to this crack in space-time that many magical artifacts - even magical energy itself - has spread throughout the universe, with a strangely particular concentration on the Earth. Many of the angelic (and later demonic) weapons used in the war were and remain lost in this manner.

The Demon Gangs
Ignis Inferi
The Ignis Inferi are a gang that function along the lines of 20’s mobsters. They are flashy, and tend to make grandiose demands. When they want to make an example of someone, they do it publicly to cause an immediate panic. The leader of the Ignis Inferi is known as the “Boss” and is solely referred to by that title. Most members have not even met the Boss, nor would they know who they truly are. Those who do know the Boss and get orders from him are known as his Consul, and it is the Consul who give the normal members of the gang their orders. The normal members of the gang are referred to by the old term of Mafioso, and are expected to follow all orders given to them.
Draco Spiritu
The Draco Spiritu is a gang that takes a more passive approach to their ordeals. They act more like boogeymen; striking fear through their mysterious nature and terrifying demeanor. The Draco Spiritu focus more upon their commerical aspects by manipulating local businesses and threatening them from the side lines. They always strike during the night, leaving nothing but agony and horror in their wake. Their leader is known as the King, and is just as mysterious as the other gang’s Boss. Their second in command are known as their Knights, who function like the Consul. The average member are known as their Vassals, who follow the orders they are given... unless they wish for an early demise.

Hunter Types
Demon Hunters
They were known by many names over the years. Exorcists, vampire hunters... all of them fall under the same group of Demon Hunters. Across the world there are several guilds, however the local group is known as The Skaian Protectors. Those indoctrinated by the guild are trained from an early age, many being born into the organization.
T.S.P can be found popping up in local communities and cities, creating a bond between the populace and indoctrinating them with an almost cult-like mindset. People born into the guild are raised believing that the root of all evil in the world comes from the demons, and that they must be wiped out. Then, and only then, can humanity live in peace.
In order to combat demons they use a variety of weapons, both standard and magical. Many of these are situational, such as having silver bullets, or literal pressure hoses with holy water. Others tend to be more standard, such as divinely blessed weapons like swords or spears. They’ve also been known to salvage “parts” off of demons (bones, horns) in order to incorporate them into their weapons.
Their strength comes from their unity and training. They are some of the most prepared hunters of the bunch, and have relatively large numbers. Those born into T.S.P are trained from their earliest days, meaning they practically live to kill demons. This may also be their biggest weakness, as they tend to suffer emotionally and mentally due to the harsh upbringing and horrors of hunting demons from a young age.
Angel Hunters
It may seem strange for people to hunt these holy beings. Yet, to some, these creatures are anything but good. There are two major groups of people who hunt angels. Demon sympathizers/worshipers or those who have been harmed by the angels interfering with their lives. For you see, angels tend to meddle in the lives of humans. So as one can imagine, when humans learn that their lives have been ruined by an angel, they will seek revenge. Unlike demon hunters who often operate in groups, angel hunters tend to act more like assassins. They can be found working alone, or in rarer instances, smaller groups.
Angel hunters tend to use weapons that have been infused with demonic energy, or hunt with weapons they created out of the very angels they have slain. These weapons are almost always ranged, such as bows and crossbows. They may use other weapons, such as blades and knives, though these are usually reserved for when the angel has been grounded.
One of their greatest strengths would come from the fact that they generally work alone from the shadows. An angel is a far bigger target than a demon, and it is more noticeable when one dies. It is a double edged sword in most cases. They may be blessed with anonymity, but they are also making themselves targets simply by choosing this path in life. The demon worshipers who walk this path are far from salvation, and others who have suffered at the hands of an angel tend to fall in this same boat. What could wash away the sin of killing such a holy being?
Government Hunters
These hunters are known to be the most brutal of the batch. They are part of a top-secret government organization known as P.A.C: Paranormal Assault & Containment. Their top priority is to contain angels, demons, and any other magical items in order for the government to study them. However, if there are extreme events going on that require immediate assistance, the Black Squad will be sent in. These mercenary-like hunters are essentially a hit group that gets sent to take out high priority targets such as Archcreatures.
The P.A.C members are equipped with more modern weapons, ranging from stun grenades to assault rifles. They are trained in a similar way to secret agents, blending in with the people around them and carrying small arms on them instead. Their most common weapons are guns loaded with bullets made from a mixture of angel and demon parts.
Members of the Black Squad arrive in modified SWAT gear, armed to the teeth with holy and damned weapons. The plates in their body armor are made from the bones of particularly powerful angels or demons, an expense only afforded by members of this special team.
Their biggest pro is that they are both well trained and well funded, however they often experience the same issue as any soldier. Possibly more so given their dealings with the paranormal. They are also split up by squads rather than ranks, with each squad focusing on a different aspect. The blue squad being members who focus on discovering paranormal creatures and items, the red squad being more like basic hunters and extractors, and lastly Black Squad, who have been well explained prior.
Rogues
Rogues can be hunters from previous categories who have for one reason or another abandoned their lives. Whether they had a fight with the others around them, or were blinded by greed, they now hunt anyone or anything for the right price. Similar to the angel hunters, they often work alone. However they have been known to work together when they are being hired by the same person for the same target. At the end of the day, they simply want to be paid.
Their freedom does come at a cost though, as they lose access to many of the resources they once had as professional hunters. Instead having to totally rely on neutral parties and black markets in order to get their supplies. In exchange, they are now free from any restrictions they once had for being a member of any group. They live kill to kill, paycheck to paycheck. It’s not an easy life, but it’s one only the bravest dare follow.

Demons and Their Sub-Types
Demons are the byproduct of what happens to an angel when they fall from grace. Their goal is to destroy all that the angels have created, bringing pain and suffering in their wake. There are two major sub-types of demons: Concubi (impish tricksters who feed off the sins of man) and Infernals (your more classic demon). Looming about both are the hideous Archdemons. These amalgamations of sin and hate live to see angels fall beneath them, and crave to be superior to those considered more holy then they.
A trait which all demons share is their incredibly warm bodies. This is due to their home environment of Derse (known to humans as hell) being incredibly hot. Their bodies stay warm regardless of their forms, leaving them vulnerable to colder climates. Another similarity is that all demons have horns, although the size and shape of these horns are dependent on their sub-type. In addition to having horns, all demons have bat-like wings which sit upon their backs. The size of these wings also varies on the type of demon they are, and Archdemons are specifically noted for having exceptionally large (and multiple) wings. Demons may also have “mutations”, which include: multiple limbs and eyes, lacking proper senses, and things of the like. All demon blood is pure black and thick, almost like oil.
As of current, demons have been found to have human-like feet or hooves of various types. This isn’t the only part of them with variety, as a demon’s skin can be essentially any color of the rainbow. However, their skin tones tend to be one of two extremes. It is either a dark tone, or a vivid, almost neon color. Not all, but most demons have fangs, or at least sharper teeth when compared to a human. The last major similarity between demons is their size. Most Infernals and Concubi range anywhere from standard human height to around eight feet. This however is not true of an Archdemon of either type. Due to their immense energy, an Archdemon can be upwards of twenty feet tall.
Concubus
The Concubus (feminine: Succubus, masculine: Incubus , singular: Concubi, Succubi, Incubi) are the emotion based creatures of Derse, similar to The Cherubs. They feed off of the sins of humankind, and each Concubi is separated into one of seven sub-categories: Sloth, Pride, Lust, Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, and Envy. The more a Concubi is exposed to their sin, the more powerful they become. Once discovering a human vulnerable to the trait they desire, the Concubi will encourage and feed off of this emotion (and others) until the human is left with nothing but a pillar of sin. Concubi are known to be solitary hunters, preferring the company of their prey over others of their kind - They would rather bond and mate with man-kind then their own, and may grow extremely possessive over those they have chosen to feed from. They are tricksters by nature, and love to play malicious pranks on others. Concubus, like all demons, have two forms: human and demonic. No matter the form, they always come across as very attractive to whoever is viewing them. Their demonic forms consist of tiny horns, wings that can be on their back or lower hips, and long, curling tails. Their skin, as well as their devilish attributes, can range from usually a dark or neon color, matching whichever sin they draw power from (Red/Wrath, Pink/Lust, Green/Envy, ect.). Their eyes are a solid color, though some are known to have either pure white or black pupils within. A Concubi can also have cloven hooves, though this is a bit more uncommon. Their human forms resemble the demonic, minus the demon attributes and strange skin. Note that a Concubi, while disguised, will always feel quite warm to the touch. Their nails will always be a little bit too sharp, and they don’t seem to blink too often. They are the emotional powerhouse of the fiendish persuasion, for along with flight and ability to withstand high temperatures: they have empathic abilities which allows them to influence (and sometimes control) the emotions of others. With just a touch, kiss, or things of the more salacious nature, a Concubi can drain the emotional essence of others until they are nothing but a husk. This is usually a last resort method, as most Concubi enjoy having a consistent victim to feed from, though the act of draining can heal or even give them the boost they need to fight off foes. A Concubi can only drain those around them in such a manner whilst in their true form. Concubi, like all demons, are damaged by holy water and blessed artifacts. Salt can be used to trap them when placed around a Concubi. Angels (and other demons) can hurt Concubus, and weapons made from the bones of an angel or demon can cause life-threatening harm. When presented with a cross while someone calls their true name (rarely given), their human form will be forcibly removed from them for a period of time ranging from an hour to three days.
Infernals
The Infernals (singular: Infernal) are the mirror images of Seraphim - that is to say, the beings corresponding to man’s idea of demons - and like their holy counterparts, they form the bulk of their realm’s armies. Infernal origins vary, as some might be born thus, while many were once angelic creatures who’ve simply “fallen from grace”, and more still are made from the corruption of souls formerly human. All the same, their abilities are aggressive and sometimes erratic, Infernals being naturally adept at channeling dark energies meant to cause damage and chaos. The appearance of The Infernal can vary, as appearances with all things can, but there are key features that stay the same. They have a set of large, bat-like wings sprouting from their backs. Upon their heads are horns that can be of any shape, but don’t grow to ridiculous sizes, and have long tails. Their skin, as well as their devilish attributes, can be human tones or anything on the warmer color spectrum (red, oranges, yellows). The Infernal’s eyes can either be a solid block of color or have animal-like eyes (snake eyes, cat eyes, goat eyes, ect.). Their human forms match up to what they usually look like, minus the demonic attributes. Infernal, while disguised, will always feel quite warm to the touch. Their teeth will seem a little bit sharper than most, and they always seem to be… up to something. The powers of The Infernal depend on their aspect. The aspects are attributes that define an angels or demons powers. Every creature is created with an aspect, however, that does not mean that every creature draws from it. Humans do not have the capacity to do so, while Cherubs and Concubus draw from virtues and sins respectively. Infernal can mold their powers to manifest in many strange, unexplainable ways. Some can create wondrous illusions, while others can read the truest intentions of those around them. The infinite possibilities that are held within these strange creatures can be wondrous… but deadly as well. With power comes weakness. They are hurt by holy water and blessed artifacts. Salt can be used to trap them, and can burn their skin if applied in large quantities. They can still eat things that are salted, of course, but extensive amounts of it will harm them. Angels (and other demons) can hurt Infernal, and weapons made from the bones of an angel or demon can cause life-threatening harm. When presented with a cross while someone calls their true name (rarely given), their human form will be forcibly removed from them for a period of time ranging from an hour to three days.
Archdemons
The Archdemons (singular: Archdemon) are the fallen former comrades of the Archangels. Truly terrifying beasts in both power and appearance; it isn’t often they stray from Derse. Like their angelic opposite, they possess an aura about them that can sometimes be seen as an ominous mist that slowly creeps across the ground. They give off a predatory sense that sends chills down even an angel’s spine. To a normal human they will trigger the fight or flight instinct, making them feel as if their very lives are in imminent danger.
More attuned Archdemons can sometimes hold back, allowing the average human some breathing room. This aura- like with the Archangel- is distinct even in a human form. Hunters and other angels and demons will know immediately when they are in the presence of an Archdemon, though it is up to the individual whether or not to act on this knowledge.
Their true power ranges over a wide spectrum, encompassing both aspects and vices. They take what their lesser brethren can accomplish and make it seem like child’s play. There is no comparing the Archdemon to their accomplices. They can only be effectively matched to their former selves: the Archangels. Though their powers remain similar, they have become twisted and violent. Marred in darkness.
As previously mentioned: an Archdemon is a terrifying beast in appearance. Where the Archangels boast feathery wings and a halo, the Archdemons have abandoned their graceful appearance for bat-like wings and large horns. They appear monstrous with many different possible traits: multiple eyes and/or mouths, cloven hooves, claws, jagged teeth… They are the creatures of nightmares.
And yet… they can also be enticing, taking on human appearances that- despite the predatory aura they exude- are undeniably alluring. Tempting, if you will. They walk with a sense of pride, and a pride well-earned. Granted… such pride won’t always get them far. Like the Archangels, the Archdemons are far more sensitive to holy weapons than the average demon. Being highly concentrated balls of wicked power, they seem to be wounded more easily than their counterparts. Holy water, blessed artifacts, the works.

Angels and Their Sub-types
Angels are the creators of the universe as we know it. With their strange and mystifying powers; they create planets, life, and many assortments of things to inhabit all that they have. As of now, there are only two sub-types of angels in existence. The first are the Seraphim - close to the common concept of angels - and the Cherubs, who differ in ability and appearance. Above them all stand The Archangels. They are the most ancient and powerful of the angels, though all started out as either a humble Seraphim or a gentle Cherub.
No matter the type, certain traits are shared between them all. The first is that all angels are cold to the touch, having evolved to deal with the brutally low temperatures of space and Prospit (know to humans as Heaven), in which they reside. Due to this natural immunity to the cold they can survive in subarctic conditions, though they struggle slightly in warmer areas of the Earth. Another common trait of an angel is their halos. The halos of the Seraphim and Cherubs rest above their heads, while the Archangels halos hang more behind their bodies, due to the fact that their halos are incredibly large. To top all of this off; all angel blood is starkly a white, and is known to glow.
The wingspan of an angel will vary depending on what type they are. A Seraphim will have medium sized wings that are large enough to carry them, as well as to allow them to easily glide along the air. They are situated on their upper back near their shoulder blades. Cherubs tend to have smaller wings which are situated on the lower or middle of their back. These wings allow them to fly and hover, though they find it harder to glide. Archangel wings are the largest of all of the angels. Archangels may also have multiple sets of wings rather than just the singular set of two that the other angels have.
Cherubs
The Cherubs (singular: Cherubim) are emotion based creatures of Prospit, similar to The Concubus. They give the virtue they possess to humankind, and each Cherubim is separated into one of seven sub-categories: Diligence, Humility, Chastity, Forgiveness, Temperance, Charity, and Kindness. The more a Cherubim is exposed to their virtue, the more powerful they become. Once discovering a human in need of the trait they possess, the Cherubim will bless said human with this virtue. However, doing this can cause major personality shifts in a human. Cherubs are very social, and enjoy the company of other Cherubim as well as humans. However, they prefer to bond and mate with their own kind. They find most humans to be too boring to ever appease them. Though they do grow possessive of the humans they bless, treating them almost like a pet they are fond of. They are tricksters by nature, and love to play good-natured pranks on others.
Cherubs, like all angels, have two forms: human and angelic. No matter the form they always have an unearthly beauty to them that dips slightly into the uncanny valley. Their angelic forms consist of tiny wings that can either come in a set of one or two on their lower or mid back, and a tiny halo. Their skin usually matches up with human skin tones. If their skin is lighter, then their limbs color will fade to a pure white the farther it gets from the body. The same is true for darker skin tones, but with gold instead of white. Their eyes resemble a humans, but with stranger colors. Cherub eyes range from a shocking white, to a wondrous gold, to a jet black. A Cherubim may also have taloned, bird-like feet, though this is uncommon. Their human form resemble the features a Cherubim has while in their true form, minus the angelic attributes and other unnatural features. Note that a Cherubim, while disguised, will always feel cool to the touch. Their skin will always be soft, like silk, and when they jump? They seem to stay up there for just a little too long!
Cherubs are the sympathetic beings of the holy types. Along with flight and being able to withstand low temperatures: they have empathic abilities that allow them to read the emotions of others and understand those they read better. With a careful touch or gentle words, a Cherubim can give their holy energy to heal minor wounds and bruises that a creature may have. However, if they give too much of their energy to others, they will exhaust themselves to the point of passing out, or even need to be taken back to Prospit to recharge. A Cherubim can only heal others when in their true form.
Cherubs share the same weaknesses that all angels do. They are susceptible to hell fire and damned artifacts. When placed around them, Cherubs can be contained within circles of pepper or fire. Demons (and other angels) can hurt Cherubs, and weapons made from the bones of a demon or angel can cause life-threatening harm. When presented with things that are considered unholy (upside down cross, pentagram, ect.) for too long, their human form will be forcibly removed from them for a period of time ranging from an hour to three days.
Seraphim
The Seraphim (singular: Seraph) are about as close as you can get to the common concept of angels; Virtuous (and often prideful) beings which make up the vast bulk of the angelic populace and exist in order to serve a higher purpose - or at least, they believe themselves to. Due to their sheer numbers, their range of mystical abilities vary as much between individuals as their roles do. In their true forms, the Seraphim can be described as “eerie”. Modern earthly depictions capture the set of feathery wings emerging from their backs, as well as the glowing symbol (typically a circle or crescent) fixed above their heads. Their eyes are pupil-less, while their skin has a smooth, almost silky quality to it and will feel quite cold to the touch while also being any color under the rainbow. It can be human tones, but if not, they will usually stay in a pastel range. Uncommonly (albeit not unheard of) are Seraphim who take on an additional animalistic aspect to their visage - manifesting in the form of features such as multiple sets of spider-y eyes, a lion’s mane, or an expanded, bird-like plumage.

Archangels
The Archangels (singular: Archangel) are beings of legend. They are pious creatures that stand holy above all, overlooking all of Prospit in judgment as the long-lived originals of their domain. Their power is overwhelming among the average human population, their presence bringing with it a sense of helplessness, despite the easing of their words. Often times a mist-like vapor eases from them, rolling over the ground in the immediate are to consume all in its wake.
Still, more collected Archangels can hold back their mystifying power to a degree. Their calming voices counteract their own immense presence. This makes it possible to communicate more easily with the common folk, though typically well-trained hunters have a much less difficult time in the presence of Archangels. This is especially true if they often hunt either Angels or Demons, as It allows them to be physically and mentally prepared for the surging difference between these beings and mortals.
Their power ranges over all angelic prospects: virtues and aspects alike. Whilst it’s true that the other angels and their connection to these abilities make them strong, an Archangel can take these further. They dig into the very cores of their power and drag out abilities thought impossible. Archangels possess a greater understanding of their aspects and virtues, and can draw out greater potential within those who seem closest to them.
Say an Archangel’s aspect is Time, and a human they come across possesses the same aspect within them then the Archangel may bless them and draw out more of this trait. Though humans are of course limited by their mortality, you are far more likely to be struck by lightning five times in two seconds than get blessed by those who see themselves far above your race.
Though they stand tall among their peers, when one flies too close to the sun… well, with great power comes great weakness. The lesser angels have a closeness to earth still that Archangels simply do not possess, and with this being the case they are far more susceptible to unholy weapons. Being undiluted creatures, any demonic weaponry or influence can have stronger effects on an Archangel than they might on a Cherub. Visually an Archangel will leave one stunned and at a loss for words. Their sizes vary from an average human to a 20’ tall being, a multitude of feathery wings gracing their backs while a large halo illuminates the area from behind them. They can bear similar traits to their other angelic counterparts: eyes without pupils, nearly flawless and perhaps golden-toned skin, silken hair, and even bird-like feet with large talons. Their faces can bear multiple sets of eyes as well, or even none at all. They are the pillars of Prospit, and they stand out even within the golden city itself.
