Even despite their oddly begun friendship and whispy moments on whimsical nights, the light in Kou’s covered eye glowed briefly as he assessed the truth in that enthusiasm.  His ego soothed, some of the tension in his body left.  Of course she was pleased to see him.  After all, he was a beautiful, talented idol and he’d provided plenty of service to her already, hadn’t he?  So long as he could get what he wanted in turn, it was only natural that his presence would appeal to her.  

Leaning forward against her shoulder playfully without actually pushing his weight upon her, he winked.  “Yeah, my schedule got complicated for awhile.  Looks like I’ll actually be around again...so you’ll spend some time with me, right~?”

i want to write relationships that are complicated.

i want to write the on-again-off-again relationships. i want the screaming matches and the cancelled dates and the hurt feelings and the second guesses and second chances. 

i want to write people who completely shake up each other’s daily routine and flip their entire world on its axis. i want them to drive each other crazy and question why they bother sticking around and then remember the way their partner laughs or see them in a moment of vulnerability that tells them ‘this is is why i stay. this is why i love you.' 

i want to write relationships with struggles. with class differences and financial divide. two people who are so completely different they somehow complete each other. i want the jealousy and the feelings of inadequacy that goes with it. 

i want to write people who aren’t afraid to be honest with their partner. who aren’t afraid to say 'yeah you’re being an asshole’ followed by 'but i still love you, you idiot.’

i want the first time they see their partner cry and the morning after their first intimate night when everything feels so right.

i want people who get so used to one another that they stop going the extra mile. i want the 'you don’t make the effort because you already have me’ argument.

i want relationships that challenge each other to be better people and make each other question their beliefs and moral compass. 

but most of all, i want to write relationships that are real. that make you feel something. i want to go on the emotional rollercoaster right along with them.

that’s what i want.

Shuu, Ayato, Azusa, and Kou come to mind.  Riskier ones that’d be a lot more dangerous but I’d be happy to just cuddle with would be Kanato and Laito, but...  again, that’s dangerous for different reasons.

3. Who’s your favorite Mukami

Can I say all of them?  If I absolutely had to pick, probably Kou.  My initial favorite Mukami was Azusa, but it quickly branched to Kou the more I read Laito’s More Blood route.  Kou is a...very dynamic person.  You get very different sides of him in Laito’s More Blood route compared to his own route.  He’s more dangerous as a romantic partner and significantly less of a problem as a friend.

5.  Who’s your favorite parent

I really love all three of Karlheinz’ wives and how complicated they are.  I think I personally probably love Beatrix the most because of how much of her is beneath the surface and the pure tragedy of her, even though I think Christa and Cordelia are more interesting on the surface.

9.  Do you hate anyone in DL

Not really.  I think Karlheinz and his wives get all the worst parent awards, though.

11. Favorite to least favorite (all the bros)

Laito, Kanato, Kou and Ayato are all roughly on the same shelf/1st place section.  For the rest...  Shuu, Azusa, Reiji, Subaru, Kino, Ruki, Yuma, Carla, Shin

Wow we’re just diving into hard mode.  I’ll attempt it.

Ayato - nazlanmak; Kanato - pâro; Laito - mimeomia; Reiji - soigné or palinoia; Shuu - occhiolism; Subaru - mauerbauertraurigkeit; 

Ruki - nighthawk; Kou - liberosis; Yuma - nemophilist; Azusa - nefelibata;

30.  What do you think of Yui

I love Yui.  I gush about Yui sometimes.  I prefer when people don’t write her out of the story for convenience, since Yui is somewhat necessary for certain characters to shift just so.  However, I also understand that some people wanna have only their character be in the story, and that’s cool too, just not my preference.  There’s a few times I’m willing to go pre-Yui bride route, but in my head it’s either ending badly or Yui won’t be the only woman in the manor when she arrives, if the woman stays alive long enough.  I find it far easier to write shipping/romance with OCs when Yui also exists, because...there’s...there’s thirteen boys.  In all verses I play.  Yui is only one person, so that’s at least 12 guys who’re single...   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Just interests me more the more complicated things are.

6.  What is your favorite picture of the brother/brothers

Tough call, actually.  I have a special weakness for anything illustrating people’s thoughts on their interactions as children.  Whether it’s fanart or canonical, anything depicting the Sakamakis or Mukamis interacting with their respective brothers makes me happy.

7.  Who is your favorite Tsukinami

I honestly have no idea at this stage.  I know I love Kino already, but he’s not a Tsukinami.  I think I’ll probably like Carla more, but enjoy writing Shin more because of the hijinks and plots I’ll be able to jumpstart just by using him and his penchant for violence.

20.  Who has the best eyes

Kanato has the best pokeball eyes  Laito’s eyes are offensively breathtaking to me, but I really love all their eyes.

Disregarding anyone else’s potential interest, Ruki strode deliberately down the book aisle.  At a pace that matched his brisk, steady feet, his eyes traveled over book spines in search of the book he sought.  Aha, there it was.  Ignoring any others’ potential interest in it, he plucked the rare book from its shelf.  In decidedly good condition, it was worth purchasing a decent book on Artemisia Gentileschi.
