lostsonâ:
â i have. iâve never actually done the table trick alone, either. â these words are cut very short †so much for not fumbling and revealing himself. â â€so, youâre probably right. sleeves it is. â he continues to practice himself, sitting on the corner of the table as opposed to one of the seats. its been some time since heâs played a proper game ; and it shows only slightly that heâs out of practice. his old boss would have been ashamed of him, even for the slightest fumble. but heâll forgive himself, for now ; things are different, and his hands are a bit shakier than they used to be.Â
lips quirking to the side, he thinks on the possibility of tricking blackwall. a much better idea than the chargers ; he hadnât even thought of it, as he hardly pays much attention to the old man. â i like the way you think. besides †blackwall might be less likely to jump me if he does catch me. â eleonoreâs own movements catch his eye, and he nods towards the card, a curious look in his eyes. this isnât quite the reaction he was expecting. â you seem oddly okay with me tricking your companions, inquisitor. â
âyou ought to practice it alone until you have it near perfected,â she replies, flicking the card in her hand into and out of sight. card tricks for entertainment purposes are frivolous and silly, but games of wicked grace in back rooms oft hold information and gold for whoever can win, be it with skill or trickery. âthough simply stacking the deck may suit you just as well.â lips quirk as he speaks and she looks at the card for a moment before setting it on the table face-side up.       âi doubt he would react in any manner like the chargers,â Ă©lĂ©onore takes not of the curious gleam in his eye and her own blue ones are alight with interest behind the gold of her mask. âtricking them at wicked grace is harmless,â the words come easy, âand if they do fall for it, it will only force them to stay more - ah - aware of their surroundings in the future.â

ITâS NOT THE FIRST TIME HEâS BEEN ASKED QUESTIONS OF THIS SORT,  and he doubts itâll be the last time.   Everyone is on edge now,  and those not possessing the knowledge that the Grey Wardens do have every right to be ANXIOUS that they may see another Blight because of everything thatâs happening.   The answer remains the same;   â No.   I wonât claim to be an expert in matters of the Fadeâ  but archdemons?   They come from underground.  DEEP underground. âThe memory of Urthemiel and its very presence in the world and in his mind brings a faint frown to his otherwise agreeable enough countenance.  Still,  Alistair knows that plenty of dangerous things might come through a rift,  but no archdemon will be one of them.   â It is said that the Old Gods were originally summoned from the Fade,  but without the taint of darkspawn,  theyâre not archdemons.   Even if the minds of those Old Gods still wander the Fade somewhere,  physically their bodies remain underground. â
the questions arise both from her own curiosity, but also that of those around her. the desperate, dirt-streaked faces of shivering civilians in the hinterlands that would approach her with beseeching requests and frightened questions sometimes fill her mind. she cannot help them all with their small quarries and requests - has not even tried, not with worries so much larger looming above them all - but having a plain answer to their questions of the blight will help. it will, at least, get them off her back a touch faster. élĂ©onore nods again after he has finished speaking, âhave you ever thought of making such things more common knowledge?â she prods lightly, âit would surely put to rest the fears of the people.â

â Itâs no fun drinking alone, tell me do you ever have a time off? â
âdrinking alone at the heraldâs rest is an immensely difficult task. that being said, i do plan on coming with you. it is not polite to abandon a guest so quickly.â there is a mild, teasing lilt to her voice.

WHAT COLOR IS YOUR MUSE ?
you are darkolivegreen #556B2F
Your dominant hues are green and yellow. There's no doubt about the fact that you think with your head, but you don't want to be seen as boring and want people to know about your adventurous streak now and again.
Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it.
Your outlook on life is slightly darker than most people's. You try to see things for what they are and face situations honestly. You'd rather get to the point than look for what's good.

â Â you could still be what you want to. Â â // from Abel
âi will be,â she speaks with steady assurance and surety in herself, her goals, and her future. fingers remain steady around the flute of pale, bubbling liquid she had plucked off of a passing servant and Ă©lĂ©onore smiles at abel, âor do you think i want to be something i am not?â

psa -- please take your time.
The community has been growing MORE & MORE supportive overtime. Most roleplayers do not mind the length of time that it takes for you to reply to things, which is WONDERFUL!! But, there are still some people who actually do mind the length of time, so please REBLOG this if you are not bothered by the time it takes for your roleplay partner to reply to you, and would much rather prefer them to be COMFORTABLE and HAPPY.Â

dragon age inquisition sentence starter
â Bad things should happen to bad people. â â Rich tits always try for more than they deserve â â Whatever the truth is, that belief gives you power. â â Canât you see why I want nothing to do with that life? â â I have seen the throne of the gods, and it was empty. â â I will not suffer even an unknowing rival. You must die! â â Tell me⊠where is your Maker now? Call him, call down his wrath upon me! You cannot. For he does not exist! â â Common ground is the start of all negotiations. â â Though darkness closes, I am shielded by flame. â â It spoke of judgement instead of acceptance. It should encourage the good in everyone, rather than rebuke us for our sins. No one should be turned away from our doors. No one is without worth. Whoever you are, whatever your mistakes, you are loved. Unconditionally. â â If weâre going to change it, why not change the whole thing? â â Iâve known mages. Some of them were better people than me. And yet Iâm free and theyâre not. Itâs not right. â â Sometimes you have to figure out for yourself what the pledge to protect others really means. â â You are who you choose to follow. â â Took me years to understand what he meant. â â But wars are won by men. â â You inspire them. â â Build on that foundation, and you will have an army that makes nations tremble. â â We all need to believe there are such men in the world. â â I needed to believe I could be one of them. â â We could make the world better. â â Itâs just easier to shut our eyes. â â Itâs not right⊠to want to do good, to be good, and have that turned against you. â â At this moment, you are the only threat I see. â â How seldom does reality match the ideal. â â We must do so with open hearts and open hands. â â I see what must be done, and I do it! I see no point in running around in circles like a dog chasing its tail. â â At some point, power becomes its own master. â â They will stand in the fire and complain that it is hot. â â I want to help. â â I used to be like you. Iâm not anymore. You shouldnât be either. â â They forgot about him. â â I came through to help⊠and I couldnât. â â Isnât it wonderful? â â Living a lie⊠it festers inside you, like poison. You have to fight for whatâs in your heart. â â Itâs my duty to stand with you. â â Iâm here to set things right. Also? To look dashing. That partâs less difficult. â â Weâre a lot more fragile than weâd like to believe. â â Life isnât about personal freedom. â â People donât always tell the truth when youâre polite. â â We pick the ones willing to make the hard decisions⊠and live with the consequences. â â Every great war has its heroes. Iâm just curious what kind youâll be. â â No real god need prove himself. Anyone who tries is mad or lying. â â I would not trade it for anything. â â I hope thereâs a damn good punchline coming. â â The truly great ones can keep their distance. They donât get attached to their people. â â I always wind up babysitting my informants and worrying about their families. â â  Heroes are everywhere. Iâve seen that.â â Thatâs beyond heroes. Weâre going to need a miracle. â â For those who value survival, sentimentality is not an option. â â Iâm never truly out of my element. â

lostsonâ:
this is the sort of work exchange he likes, quick and to the point. while there are far more interesting places to go than the hinterlands, and it wouldnât be his first choice ; its better than spending his days on nothing. vic gives eleonore a serious nod of confirmation, taking note of the plan. â donât you worry. i may not be the brightest, but i know better than to quarrel with a lad twice my size who calls himself the iron bull. weâll be alright. â playful concentration then sweeps across his face, and he looks back to the table with tilted head. perhaps sheâs right †heâs scarcely come across this trick himself, but the chargers get around far more. a childish groan mixed with a sigh leaves him, and he slowly plucks a few cards from the table.Â
â but †up the sleeves is so over-done, donât you think ? expected, even ? â a card is put up into his sleeve as he speaks, and he idly practices discreetly drawing it to fidget. â i mean, its the oldest trick in the book. gets borinâ after awhile. there must be something better. †maybe iâd be better off using the table trick on someone else. the commander, maybe ? â
âit seems that would be common sense, and yet,â the iron bull could easily take down most anyone in skyhold, yet those who would attack the attaché of the inquisitor seem to take no heed of his sheer size and power. shoulders rise and fall in a mild shrug as she moves to sit across from him at the table ( not before making sure the seat had nothing sticky or wet on it ) and peer at his movements as victor draws the cards from their hiding place. with practice ad nauseam one might be able to do it perfectly, and yet she still suspects the chargers would realize they were being conned quite quickly. theyâre rather sharp.       âyes,â élĂ©onore agrees - up the sleeve is perhaps the most expected way for someone to cheat, âthough you have likely done it more often than the table, have you not? you will be better at it, less likely to fumble and reveal yourself.â she reaches over and selects a card, palms it with a well-practiced motion to make it seem as though the card has vanished. there is no misdirection with the other hand so the trick falls flat, though it is more something to do rather than an attempt at the true trick. âcommander rutherford may be easier, though i do not doubt he is keen enough to catch you at it as well. warden blackwall may be a good quarry.â

âHm.â His gaze drops to the artefact in question. It looks shabby in her grasp, rusted edges juxtaposed with well-manicured nails. âThat remains to be seen, but I am confident I can glean some use from it.â Even if it is only a few scraps of knowledge. Solas reaches forward, his own nails blunt and uneven, his hands marked by magical mishaps. âMay I?â
she turns her wrist and the thing in her hands glints dully. it seems it was once shining and beautiful, before layers of grit and rust and grime caked itself onto the thing. âof course,â Ă©lĂ©onore extends her arm towards him, the proffered object butting up against his outstretched fingers, âi would not have the slightest what to do with these things, they are better off in your hands, i am sure.â the words come lightly despite the distrust she still feels around most everyone in skyhold, masked with smiles and friendly enough words in the cool tone of her voice.

Ă©lĂ©onore has a fat, fluffy tuxedo cat named angĂšle. she found her as an abandoned kitten in the hinterlands and took the cat in! angĂšle can often be found sunbathing on Ă©lĂ©onoreâs balcony or preening near the throne in the main hall.
