Hi readers! I’m sorry for not having posted recently, I’m actually working on a really exciting project that I’ll be sharing with you later on. I’m going to try my best to post a few times a week. Today’s 8 Spaces post is all about light, airy rooms with pops of color or texture. The New York area has experienced so much snow this season, so I’m really digging these open, bright rooms. I think that if you are going to paint your walls white, or even a light color, it’s important to accessorize with unique pieces. In the dining room below, you’ll see a phenomenal console table and table lamp. These two pieces bring life to this open room. In addition, the painting brings a great graphic and some color into the space. Another great way of bringing some energy into your light spaces is with the use of area rugs. The area rugs in the last two spaces ground the rooms with a great print and color! Which spaces are your favorite? Click for full post!

How incredible is this Chelsea, NYC townhouse? The 1840s townhouse recently went under a massive multi-millionaire dollar renovation. The home has turned out incredibly beautiful, and is currently on the market for 16.5 million. It’s being listed by Fredrik Eklund of “Million Dollar Listing New York”! I hope we’ll see it on the show at some point. What makes this home extra special is that it was recently used to host a fundraising event for President Obama. The home features 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms and boasts 5,000 sq. ft of space. When it comes to the interiors, I’m a huge fan of mixing retro and modern pieces. I feel that in a home such as this, bringing pieces in from the 1960s-70s really make an impact. Some of the stand out pieces that I choose were the Nilfur dining chairs, Galerie Glustin sofa and Kelly Wearstler bed. Those pieces are and more are featured below. What do you think of the townhouse? Would you ‘Move In‘? Click for full post...

Today’s 8 Spaces post is a mix of styles. From clean, white spaces with pops of greenery to spaces with an eclectic mix of furnishings. Today’s post is all about eclectic rooms. I’m a huge fan of travel and love spaces that bring in pieces from all over the world. A living room with an area rug from your travels to Morocco or a side table from Italy are the best one’s. These space’s are the most impactful and you find yourself talking about your adventures when you have guests over. When furnishing your home choose pieces that are meaningful to you. Don’t just head to West Elm or Crate and Barrel to furnish the whole house. It’s harder and may take more time to hand select each piece, and wait for the right one, but well worth it. Your home won’t look like a catalog, but a home. What do you think of the space’s, which spaces is your favorite? CLICK FOR FULL POST...

I’m so excited to feature this stunning, northern Virginia home, designed by Raji Radhakrishnan! This modern eclectic home has so much personality and charm it shouldn’t be legal. From the moment you pass through the front entrance you’re greeted by plush fabrics and subtle pops of color. I’m a huge fan of white walls and bringing colorful pieces into your home to liven the space. Raji did an excellent job balancing color with simplicity. The office is my favorite space in the home. I’m a bit of a book nerd so wall to wall shelving is a must. The space is a great mix of modern and traditional. When choosing fashion picks to embody the space, I stuck to simple forms that have a bit of a kick. I choose pieces that work great on their own, but even better when mixed and matched. Take Raji’s living room for example. Each piece is simple with a kick, however, when brought together the pieces have a new life. What do you think of the space? Good morning readers! For today’s B.A.D Street look I wanted to keep it elegant and simple. I spent my day in the city, and was inspired walking in front of the different townhouses and luxury condos. I could feel the glamour as I passed each facade. I choose to wear this Anthropologie dress and keep the accessories relatively simple and muted to allow the dress to shine. What do you think? –Ashley Congratulations to Entry #51, Jamie G., you are the winner of the Michael Kors Tote Giveaway! We will be contacting you via email shortly! Thanks to all those who entered! Pack your bags, we’re going to the Maldives! The Maldives makes it to my “top 5″ places I need to visit to list. This picturesque country off the coast of India is an incredible place to experience clear blue waters, vibrant flowers, and great cuisine. The cover image really caught my attention when I was scrolling through photos of the Maldives. It wonderfully illustrates the overall look of this country. Wood sided hotels located right on the ocean, flowers, and blue waters. You can’t have a closer proximity to the beach than this! Wake up, turn over, in the ocean! This is the country to go to if you want to walk far out into the ocean and the water to only reach your knees. What do you think of the Maldives? Have you been here before? I’m in love with this stunning townhome on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, that was recently renovated by Flank architects. With over 5,000 square feet of beautifully designed interior and exterior spaces this 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home is a NYC gem. From the moment you step up towards this townhome you are greeted by a simple, yet elegant front facade. One of my favorite rooms in the home is the kitchen. It features a huge wall to wall glass door that opens up to a 1,000 square foot outdoor space. When the doors are open, you feel like your kitchen is outdoors. The furniture pieces I choose to use in this home are a relatively monochromatic yet very intricate and sophisticated in design. The home needs pieces that don’t compete with the hustle and bustle of NYC just outside the window, but still have something to say and are a conversation piece when guests visit. Good morning readers! For today’s B.A.D Street look I was in the mood for something casual. I was spending my day in Chelsea, NYC, along the Hudson River and decided to wear a super comfortable, and light Anthropologie top. I opted to wear my top tucked out, however, you could tuck it in for a more formal look with a pair of Khaki pants. One of my favorite accessories is a bouquet of flowers in a tote. They add a pop of color and keep the look, looking fun! I got some when I was in the Hampton's! What do you think of the outfit?–Ashley CLICK FOR FULL POST...

This past weekend I enjoyed some relaxing and unwinding in East Hampton. The Hampton’s are one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places to spend your summer days. Beautiful beaches, world class shopping, and yummy food! What more could you ask for?! During this trip I visited the towns of Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Southampton, and Montauk; east of the Hampton’s. Each place had it’s fair share of things to do and beauty. Sag Harbor has a wonderful downtown, a beautiful Marina, and some great home decor shops. It’s quaint and charming. East Hampton town is far more grand and here you’ll find many luxury shops such as: J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors. Southampton was a bit more quaint compared to East Hampton. More restaurants, and specialty shops. Montauk was super chill. The town and seaport felt a bit more New England. At the Montauk seaport I had some Fish and Chips, definitely worth it! Have you been to the Hampton’s? What are your thoughts? CLICK FOR FULL POST...
