This is going to be a bit long, so I'm going to start with a note. If you have any recommendations of something you'd think I may like please shoot them my way. I'm afraid my general way of hearing about new fics has gotten a little rusty. 😅

let's do the time warp again! by unsaid_eddie Rating: T Complete Time loop story where I learned that the lights you see when you close your eyes real tight are called: Phosphenes. I enjoy a good time loop and kinda want to write one eventually but there's just something so fun that unsaid_eddie did with like chaos and stress and how frustrating repeating the same mistakes over and over and being unable to figure things out can cause. Binary Bros and Cobra Husbands

The Dearest Things I Know series by bat_country Rating: T Complete (There are two multi-chapter fics in this series)

There was for a while this headcanon that Demetri was secretly Silver's child and bat_country created this series where Demetri truly was secretly Silver's child. But via Dynatox experimentation he's Silver's and Daniel's. It's got cobra husbands and binary bros and angst and Demetri bullying his biological dad's who trip over themselves to try and each fight for his affection. The sass levels are high and I love that for him. Lawrusso

Just Another Heart in Need of Rescue by astla_ever Rating: T Complete

Okay so Johnny get's a mixed tape in his locker, falls in love with it during like the worst time of his life, realizes who sent it (Daniel, duh this is Lawrusso) only to realize that Daniel hadn't meant it for him. Someone put it in the wrong locker. But omg the angst in this was so evil (affectionate) and delicious.

Stunting by GoldStarGrl Rating: M Complete Cheerleader AU. It's got a non-linear time line and lots of angst but also cheerleading au both boys are cheerleaders do I have to say more? Memories Never Fade by lostmagician Rating: E Complete Amnesia fic. Set in CK, Daniel gets amnesia and doesn't remember like anyone but Johnny and Johnny's keeping secrets from him. This one is like another very angsty one but also so good. I'm realizing I read a lot of angst. 😅 Polyam Doubt series by an-sceal Rating: mixed but general E as it deals with triggering content Complete (maybe, there's a lot of multi-chapter and oneshots within this series) You will need an account to read it Both Johnny and Daniel are survivors of SA (Terry Silver) and end up finding out about what happened to the other and who else it happened to and previous students who were abused by Silver. Amanda and Daniel have an open marriage and take Johnny in and then slowly add him into their relationship. Johnny also is in a relationship in some of them with Dutch. Content is super heavy just fyi.

There are more, I know there are more but I was going through my history and hit a bunch of "deleted" which kinda bummed me out, so I'm going to stop here rather than try and find all the ones I'm thinking of in case they too are gone. Like there was a mer-Johnny fic I enjoyed where he was an octopus mer-creature that was in-progress and an a/b/o in-progress I was also reading. So I'm going to swap over real quick to writers, like real fast top of my head. Again not a complete list and I'm know for sure I'm going to go oh no I forgot ____. 7. Your favourite ao3 tag. The only one I have saved is Johnny/Daniel mostly because I got tired of trying to go in via TKK or CK since some are one or the other or both. The one I use the most is not necessarily my favorite but I've found underage drinking ends up being my like most common warning. Idiots to lovers probably would be my actual favorite. I love when it's mutual attraction but they just don't realize it because dumb and then slowly figure it out. 8. How slow is a slow burn? 😂😂😂😂💀 You're asking me? The person who wrote a fic where I don't think they get together for like at least 30 chapters? Slow. Let it marinate until every comment is wtf. 😂😂

My own fic aside, i think it depends on the story. Slow burn could theoretically be done quickly but be used in the case of like their lives it's been a slow burn. Maybe they liked each other as teens but don't get together until they're older and they're looking at it from that lens could be a quick slow burn. But it could also be done long like mine. I think it depends on the fic and the story you're trying to tell. 30.Describe a fic that almost happened, but then it didn't. I mean I've got 3 chapters of a chicken fic and a whole lot cut so....there's that one. 😂 There have also been plenty for other fandoms where I was like well maybe and then just didn't. I'm sure I have quite a few but at the moment my brain's blanking. I will say my original plan with Root Beer Floats was to go all the way up to CK or at least past TKK4. I wanted to write Johnny and Daniel meeting Julie and Daniel and Julie having a slight rivalry over Mr. Miyagi. (I have a drabble based off this) I also wanted us to meet the adults from CK. Like Amanda and Anoush and maybe Tom Cole. But then I decided I didn't want Daniel to stay on the route of doing car salesman stuff. I wanted him to have a shot at something else so it just didn't work.

2. Anything that you'd like to write but feel like you're unable to? So many things and it's generally just due to time. I want to finish my alternative route Root Beer Floats. Dutch and Chozen are done Tommy is started but is on hold despite having done a ton of research. I want to pick it back up after I finish Umibudo. And I have an idea for Bobby but I'm not close to putting that on my to-do list yet. And then there's Jimmy. I also have a fic started because I really want to give Johnny a chicken. But I got stuck and don't know where to go with it yet. So you know just tons of chicken research and kinda just who knows. I also for a while wanted to do a M or E rated epilogue/continuation one-shot or something of both California Roll and Konpeito, but 1. I haven't had time and 2. I tend to get into a headspace of the people who liked the T rated version might not appreciate the continuation or the dynamic. Which I mean I can do what I want, but still... I also have a fic title in mind for something Robby centric but I don't have the fic. I also wanted to do a cobra husbands, I have an entire playlist but I haven't been able to figure out a plot or what I want to do there. I also wouldn't mind writing another Silverlaw but again no clue what I'd do. 10. Top three favourite fic tropes. Oh this one's hard. I think a lot of things like hurt/comfort, fix-it fics, and angst with a happy ending are probably my top ones.
