"Hmm.... I suppose.... It can be. The issue is my profession requires a degree of human suffering and tragedy. Naturally, I do not want this upon people actively... However, I also crave the thrill of puzzle-solving and high-stakes. It can be very interesting but it also reveals a lot of the darkness of the human heart."

Taeko loved her work and loved the puzzles and the stakes and... and everything. Yet it had revealed to her plenty of horrors that man can make. It may not always be productive but it is something that won't leave her mind.

"As for figuring them out... I would suppose I cannot always understand those whom I track and uncover. There is darkness to the soul of man that I frankly do not always figure out."

She tapped her pale cheek, thinking.
