Once that pressure was off of him, Shadow scrambled onto his feet and ran for it. “EAT IT DETHL!” He screamed out. He wasn’t going to let anything stop him now that he got out of Dethl’s grasp. He needed to get some distance before merging into the shadows and fast. Looking back Shadow seen the massive amount of small creatures chasing after him and trying to cling on to him. 

Doing nothing wasn’t going to stop these things. And a summoning his sword and shield wasnt going to help reduce their either. He needed to use something more like the hammer Blue used, or Red’s fire rod. As he thought over this that classic mischievous grin spread onto his face. Why duplicate summon either of those when can summon those large bombs he loved throwing at the heroes. It’d have more than enough power to send them flying! He leapt into the air, shaking off any of the minons that managed to get a hold of his legs and then gathered up his dark magic and summoned a rather larger than normal bomb and threw it onto the ground.  Once he landed back down he continued to sprint off, hoping that was good enough to stall a nice amount of the ‘army’ the nightmare demon sent.

The kamukamu were blown to bits! Not really. The minions were scattered, sure, but they were unharmed. They all landed back down on the ground with little squeaks. Tiny legs sprinted after the shadowed hero, and they were surprisingly fast. One leaped up and bit down on the tip of Shadow’s hat. Another grabbed his ankle and chomped. Dethl was finally able to see again, though his eyes burned. Of course, while the kamukamu were still in pursuit of Shadow, they were doing an inefficient job of it.

Seeing the familiar face just well quickly turned the switch for full on panic. He didnt even notice the ribbon at first.

“NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT TODAY DEMON EYEBALL!  WE ARE NOT WALKING DOWN MEMORY LANE AGAIN. PLEASE FOR THE GODDESSES NO!”

He was trying not to panic as much as he was but that was obviously not working. All he could do was try and slowly back away.  “And I aint touchin’ that ribbon! Knowin’ you it’s probably a trick!’

“I’m flattered.” he said in the blandest tone he could muster. The demon really wasn’t keen others keeping tabs on him. “If you must know, it was a little green garbed nuisance. So called hero, little goddess favorite, and so on.”

He let his smile slip back into apathy. It took far too much energy to fake such emotions even halfheartedly. So, he waited for Dethyls reaction, weighing in his mind if the likely punishment for going against express orders was going to leave him with one broken leg or two. Because he knew Ganondorf could sense what he had done, and that pig did oh so enjoy seeing him forced to crawl. As though behind a large wall, muffled and distant, he could feel his anger growing, just out of his reach and unusable.

“Honestly, I’m surprised he didn’t just kill them. They can’t eat, sleep or do even basic tasks without explicit orders.” He looked at Dethyl, unsure if he should trust what his words implied. He wanted too, badly, but was it worth the risk? Fuck it. He was already going to suffer if the nightmare failed. He may as well go all the way. 

“No, unfortunately, I woke up to this. I wasn’t present for their creation nor was I shown how they are placed. From what I have managed to observe, it seems to work by placing a barrier around the mind or what parts it can contain, leaving the body in a state of mindless suggestibility. No inhibitions, no pain response, no effort to control. What that means for attempted removal, I can only guess.” 

“At can at least agree that it’s not very fun having no one to rule, but this is practically the same thing.” He shrugged, stepping up to the one of the mentally vacant Hylians. The demon flicked the man in the face, waiting for some kind of response. Man, they really were just mindless, weren’t they? Well if he was going to get to the bottom of this, he needed to try a few things. 

In an instant, he slashed the man before him, cutting the head clean off but leaving the runes on the body. It made a bit of a mess, blood slurting out. He wanted to see what it would do? Does it need a brain? Would it be like a cucco running about with it’s head chopped off? You couldn’t get answers if you didn’t try everything.

[Sometimes I do get weirded out but most the time I just take it as it comes. Long as I don’t see a shadow person I can deal. Though, I have a friend who refuses to come in my house ever. Also another friend who is real sketchy about it and did a little incense burning to get rid of the any bad mojo. The house has only ever been in my family so as far as I know it’s not some stranger.]

[so tfw you're so used to weird spooky ghost shit happening in your house that when you hear a fucking pot get flung across the kitchen in the dead of night and go out to investigate, pot squarely in the middle of the kitchen floor, you just go 'ok' and pick it up and put it back on the counter.

like I didn’t even think "OMG A POT GOT TOSSED ACROSS THE ROOM" I immediately was like "shit now I have to get up and pick up that pot"]
