You know your mother has already woken up for she is the reason the door is open and that chilled winter air is nudging the sun rays to get as much of the playfield over your exposed skin as it can. The teasing play going between the two forces becomes a soothing episode for your nerves, enjoying the lazy winter morning with the sparrows chirping on that one malacca tree still standing in your front yard. The chill draft that swirls to lands on your unaware fingertips, brings with it the familiar dissatisfied woof and one rage-filled yelp, making you smile even with your eyes closed. You can even hear the disgruntled remarks of some boomers out on their morning stroll cursing your poor babies for growing so big and healthy and barking at any stranger that was not welcome in their territory. If I could feel this every single day…

I saw ur looking for Loki x reader recs, you should look up “She Shall Have” by lowkeyorloki on ao3! The author is here on tumblr as well, but with a different url (I forgot it, but maybe it’s on their ao3? oops) Basically, the reader can lift mjolnir and is betrothed to Thir but is drawn to Loki instead. I love it! Also I See You on ao3 is amazing too, tho most of us Loki fans know that one by now. Hope these help!

JUST STAY HOME.

To those of you out there operating under the belief that social distancing is a bunch of bullshit and we are all overreacting and need to calm down and take a klonopin:

Congratulations! Congratulations for participating in the massacre of stupidity that is unfolding around us. Kudos to you for ignoring the news and thinking that just because it happened in China that it can’t happen here.

Except it is happening here. And because we didn’t have the common sense of Australia, who cracked down on this shit ASAP, what we are facing is going to get exponentially worse. Planet Earth is the only game in town right now (God knows Australia sure as hell doesn’t want us), and there are no safe havens left.

But one of the very few ways we can try to stop the situation from getting worse is to for as many of us as possible to STAY HOME.

Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not make the assumption others like me who are SCREAMING this message from the rooftops are a bunch of tin foil-hat Chicken-Little proselytizing doomsday preppers. I’m the kind of parent who lets her kid eat food after it’s been dropped on the fucking floor.

Now?

I am sanitizing every goddamn thing in sight. 

I have put my parents in lockdown because they are over seventy and my mom is immunocompromised. My husband and kids and I are not leaving the house for two weeks in hopes we can see them again in person – after which my mom and dad will remain in lockdown, and we will continue to practice stringent social distancing. The alternative means facing 18 months or more of what is essentially house arrest, as indicated by some projections of how long it will take for COVID-19 to be within our control.

So listen up, humanity:

If you have the ability to stay home, then STAY HOME.

Stay home for the people who HAVE to go to work – our asses staying inside means it helps reduce the chances of them getting sick.

Stay home for those who are immunocompromised or in some way are medically fragile.

Stay home for those who are suffering from domestic violence and now are literally trapped under the same roof as their abuser.

Stay home for the kids who rely on school lunch and breakfast to eat, or for the kids whose only safe respite is school.

Stay home because you now have a once-in-a-lifetime legit reason to not go to the gym.

Stay home because you can Netflix and chill, 100% guilt free. Unless you’re a parent of young, curious children who are easily bored and if so, best of luck to us all.

Stay home for everyone who is self-employed, or are small business owners, or anyone whose form of income is reliant upon people gathering in groups of 10 or more.

Go out only for essentials, stridently demand people respect your personal space (if they’re smart, they’ll be running away from you, too), and then get your ass straight back home and wash your hands like it’s your job. 

This is not the time to go do this really cool thing with a bunch of other people because reasons and you’re just so tired of being stuck indoors.

This is the time to try and bridge the gaping intellectual chasm that is our leadership in DC, and hope that it is not too late. No one wants your Darwin award by proxy. STAY HOME.

Taking a deep breath, Loki turned towards the stairwell door and extended his left arm, long fingers outstretched and slightly trembling.

Your birthright…was to die! As a child, cast out onto a frozen rock…

He cringed.

Then, another voice.

I don’t know what a Frost Giant is, and I don’t know what happened to you that makes you hate that part of yourself so much…but the bad stuff is why you’re you…

His eyes slowly closed.

“Breathe,” he whispered to himself, “Don’t think. You’re safe.”

The trembling in his hand subsided. He took another deep breath, quelling his fears with the memory of Brynn’s clumsy, impassioned words, and leaned forward to touch the smooth metal surface of the door.

Five patches of emerald hoarfrost blossomed beneath his icy fingertips.

When the Goddess of Sex died, no one on Asgard wanted to take her place. She was a beautiful woman - seductive, alluring, wise - but her job was impossible. She walked the worlds surrounded by lust and primal needs, a job not fit for the weak of heart. She knew her time was coming to an end and someone, but not just anyone, needed to take her place.

She died with a whisper that she wanted - no, needed - the new God or Goddess of Sex to be someone with great restraint. This person had to be able to withstand sexual requests and prayers and only grant the wishes to a few lucky hearts.

After she passed, there was a lull in the realms when it came to sex. Romance lasted, for the God of Love was still alive and well, but the sex, the passion and the desire had fizzled out. Pleasure was being depleted and that needed to remedied.

But with every single person that Odin requested take up the mantle, they declined. No one could handle the frenzy of sexual prayers without being tempted by them. It was a frustrating endeavor and Odin was beginning to believe sex and lust would fade from existence for good.

That is, until Loki stepped forward.

After a confirmatory glance to Mack and Loki, she tapped her comm and turned on the mic.

“Sorry, sir,” she said briskly, “We had to go dark for a few minutes.”

“Goddamn god of motherfucking mis – Agent May! Wonderful of you to join us again,” Fury snapped, ending his tirade with a practiced flip of the switch. “Where is –”

“Loki?” Thor growled, speaking over the Director.

“Present,” Loki answered politely.

“Brother, why did you not –”

“You know, let’s save the rhetorical questions for later,” Coulson suggested. He sounded more irritated than Loki could ever remember hearing him. “What’s your location? You dropped off the radar about fifteen minutes ago.”

“Deck zero-zero,” May answered, “Brynn just stopped in front of the service elevator.”

“Good to know,” exclaimed Fury, his words laced with sarcasm. “Speaking of things that are good to know – I’d sure as hell would like to know why there seems to be an Abominable goddamn Snowman on the loose. Parts of the Helicarrier keep turning into an iceberg and then thawing out again. What’s going on down there?”

“Global warming?” Loki suggested. “Oh, dear. Was my mic on?”

Over the comm, he heard Thor growl his name, followed by a vulgarity in their mother’s native tongue that loosely translated to Stop being a dick.

Looking for fic recommendations..

I'm searching for stuff to binge read in my free time, without having to search through the never ending tags of Ao3 and finding nothing intriguing or anything that I haven't already read twice over.

Preferably Loki/OFC or Loki/Reader though I am not averse to any other TH’s characters or even original work if it is good. 

Im open minded to the genre, and won't shy from the darker fics either. Mature/Explicit ratings are always a plus since it makes things a whole lot more interesting. 

I dont care if its on Ao3 or fanficnet or even Wattpad for that matter as long as its good.
